Private Elise Meets Elise And They Do Elise Stuff

The closest Elise could get to home in Alvaria was the castle gardens. Sure, it was not tropical and richly canopied like the Archais jungles, but... it was natural. The flowers, the trees, the grass. The cool earth under her bare feet as she walked. The wind on her face. Elise pulled her hair out of its noble braid and let her golden locks fly free in the wind. Just off the pathway, in the grass, Elise had her head buried in a book detailing Sith alchemy methods as she walked along. She had grown tired of spending all day in the library, and she needed some air. Determined to keep soaking in her knowledge, however, she had brought a book with her.

And she, she walked around the garden, reading, enjoying the fresh air. Eventually, she paused in her walking. She looked up, blinking the sunlight out of her eyes. Noticing a comfortable looking tree trunk, she showed no signs of concern over her prestigious dress and sat down. As she continued to read, she felt her eyes failing. Even in the sunlight. The cool breeze and warm sun where the ultimate experience. And so, her eyes began to droop and she started to fight off the alluring call of sleep.

Gardens were much better than those academies. Full of whatever political lies the sith wanted to tell themselves to pretend they were proper dark siders and not just Jedi wielding the dark side. The dark side was just as natural as the light, and more so for a creature of emotions. And gardens were simply another presence of nature. Plus, they were nice, so it didn't matter if it fit the philosophy. Sith wanted power, she wanted niceties. Just worked out that the two sometimes coincided on things that looked, smelled, and felt nice like gardens.

She kept her sabers on her as she wandered, the only sign beyond her red eyes of what she was. Wandering around the garden running a hand along many of the plants as she did and taking in long deep breaths of the scents of them all. Her senses heightened ever so much higher in the force that she took in almost all of them at once.

And then, as she progressed further along, there was another. Another noise, the flipping sound of paper. The scent of a book and another human. Her ears twitched to listen and her head lifted slowly letting her gaze traverse the garden. And there was someone, someone not quite so familiar. And a hint of almost childlike mischievous hit her. She took in a breath, and crouched behind the bushes. Like a predator making her way around. It was harder to hide ones presence in the force, but at the least, she could disguise her intent. And surely around here, a presence was expected.

And so she worked her way around the garden attempting to sneak up on the girl from behind. And then taking in a deep breath, using the force to amplify the volume...just a little bit, "Rancor!" she shouted urgently at her, specifically only directing the sound at the woman while smirking to see what she'd do. Assuming she'd even accomplished the sneaking anyway.

Elise's Force Sense, unknowingly poisoned from birth, was never that strong. But Mia Monroe Mia Monroe had done well to teach Elise to be more aware of her surroundings. She certainly felt an unfamiliar presence in the Force, and she opened her dreary eyes as she stretched and yawned. She could sense them slinking in the bushes, but was unable to figure out what they were up to. Her hand slipped into her dress's hidden pocket, and she took hold of a small vibroknife.

But when the attempt at scaring her came, Elise looked over sharply, ready to move. But the mischievous prankster was noticed for who she was before Elise drew her weapon. Elise blinked, visibly annoyed, but her eyes softened. For a brief moment, she saw her own little sister in this woman's red eyes.

Red eyes... could this be-

Elise tilted her head. Her previously tense and battle ready body loosened as she leaned against the tree again. She let out a long sigh, releasing her tension, and she chuckled.

"You got me." She relented. "I almost drew my vibroknife on you. Do be careful next time."

There was a hint of embarrassment in that admission. Elise still did not feel "safe" here, and she was constantly on edge. Mia's first lesson to Elise had been to never hesitate in self defense. She had once again butchered it, letting her former mentor down. But, it had saved this girl's life.

But a curiosity was begging to be quenched in Elise's mind. So, she asked.

"You've got Malum's eyes. Are you one of his sisters by chance?"

Made a smacking noise of disappointment at the response, though her face was still one of amusement. She was quite prepared to get out of the line of fire if need be, the possibility of an attack was hardly one that was ever genuinely out of the question. Elise's gaze watched the stranger with a tilted, entertained look as she waited for her.

Then hearing her speak, "Oh no, a knife! Never faced one of those before." she laughed, before hopping over a bush and leaning to one side from there before hearing her next question and giving her a raised brow and humorous, but also criticizing, response, "They're not just his eyes, I had them first you know," then a wave of hand and correction, "Well, no, but boy would that be a story. He's my younger brother."

"Now that we've got me, what's up with the dagger and book wielder in sith garden?"
she prompted both with the slightest hint of accusation, just not very seriously. "Pretty confident I've never seen you before."

Elise looked up at the dark haired Marr as she awkwardly spoke in a casual but outgoing manner. Elise tilted her head as she rejected her eyes being Malum's, and she chuckled in response. Elise was quickly relaxing again, picking up her book and setting it in her lap The Application Of The Soul's Power was in good condition, a couple blades of grass aside. But when the Marr asked who Elise was, she frowned slightly. There was no real seriousness in her tone and body language, but there was a hint of her own guard being up. It all made the Ajayid frown, as she realized what this unfamiliarity could have meant.

"He... didn't tell you?"

Her tone was genuinely innocent and hurt, as the news that Malum had not told his sister who she was yet was disappointingly sad. They were partners, yes? Lovers? More than Malum had been with others in the past? Did he... truly see her as more than them? The insecurity once again bubbled in her fragile heart. The softness in her eyes was obvious, as she hoped that somehow, this Marr was simply absent minded about the news.

Elise gave the book almost as equally raised a brow at the chosen book. More of a warrior herself, well, no, that wasn't true either. More of an instinctive herself, she'd avoided more in depth studies like that. But that title was hardly something she imagined contained anything normal inside it. Probably. Could just be more philosophical nonsense that didn't actually change anything whether or not you read it.

Then she noticed her...pain? The noble furrowed her brow and she let her smile fade a bit as she heard the words and tone. Elise's gaze drifted off a moment as she took in and released a breath trying to think of what she might have missed, Alright Malum, what'd you do exactly. she thought to herself. Though hardly discounted the possibility he didn't in fact cause this. Just seemed the most logical conclusion.

With a sigh she looked over the garden and reached out, hurling a chair in the distance to her hands and then spinning it around to straddle it. "Alright, I'm gonna guess the answer to that is a no. So why don't you fill me in." she started searching in more details, her eyes were red, and while that was a Marr marker. It was hardly enough of any certainty. Even if her brother had seemed to start re-gathering efforts of sorts. But she'd rather just let this woman tell the story herself. If she was a Marr, she should have heard. So what else was up. Despite her searching, there was a slight look of possible sympathy in her eyes.

Elise sighed at the response. A no was expected, but it was disapointing. She brought a hand to her eye, wiping a stray tear away, as the Marr looked to her with a curious and sympathetic expression. Despite all her insecurities right now, Elise knew that she already had a good feeling about this girl here. Elise sighed, leaning against the tree, and she gave her the news.

"I'm Malum's partner, Elise Ahana-Gwyneira. We've been seeing each other for about half a year now, but he recently invited me to stay here more permanently, at least, when I'm not on my homeworld."

Elsie set the book aside, carefully, and smoothed out her black dress. The sadness in her eyes about Malum not telling his sisters was still there, but she also wanted to know which sister she was talking to. Especially since she was so pleasant. She chuckled softly, inquiring, "Which sister are you? I will say, it would be really awkward if you were the one with the same first name as me."

Well that was a start....Elise just stared somewhat blankly for a moment at the answer, "...huh" came the initial response, her eyes more offcenter in their gaze as she probed the inside of her cheek with her tongue in thought. Well...yeah that was definitely quite the missed peace of information. Then her eyes shot back as she realized what name she mentioned, and simply gave out a "hm?" quietly.

She stared blinking a second before...other Elise finished and shut her eyes a moment letting out a long breath and rubbing her face while shaking her head, and staring at the ground,
"Well, Kriffing kark it. I'm gonna haunt the boy when I die." she answered, before looking back up at....Elise. "There's only two of us older than him. Care to hazard a guess?"

I don't have a karking idea what you were thinking Malum, I'm gonna boobytrap your speeder so it shouts like a kid on a rollercoaster every time you press the accelerator or something.

Elise could not help but laugh at the Marr when her head dropped, and she muttered that she was going to haunt her brother. But when she told Elise to guess which older sister she was, the hint was taken. Elise's face was initially horrified, then embarrassed, then... she just frowned, pouted, accepted her awkward fate.

"... You're Elise, aren't you?"

A moment of silence, then the Dreamseer hissed. "Well kark me."

She awkwardly looked away, cheeks red, as she scrambled for an alias. "My-my Chiss name is Jac'Eli'Serum, is you'd prefer to call me that."

No! You don't just go around giving your Chiss name to non-Chiss, what is wrong with you!

"Uhhh, or, like, Malum calls me Elsie."

I don't think what her brother calls you is helping!

"I'm Clan Vizsla-I'm not even Mandalorian anymore! Wha- know what?"

Elise picked up the book, and buried her face in it, promptly deciding to ignore her increasingly humiliating moment of awkwardness with... Elise.

"Did you know that one soul could be strong enough to power entire space stations if harnessed the right way? Some neat stuff in this book."

"That's the one." she affirmed providing fingerguns, "Tada"

She still couldn't believe that he'd kept all that from her. Then again, how would he tell her he was dating someone with her name. She was quickly distracted by her own uncertainty and somewhat discomfort by Elise Not Marr's own embarrassment and progression into some kind of social panic that Elise Actual Marr began to barely contain laughter from as Elise shifted from one name to another, Chiss, then Malum's nickname, then no-longer Vizsla Vizsla.

And then ducking into her book to hide behind facts about Souls. Well, at least the book probably wasn't useless. Elise let out a laugh shaking her head and letting a proper smile come back again,
"Well if he calls me Elsie, I'm going to stab him. Maybe after I throw him out a window." though the look in her eyes made the comment seem like it was a completely earnest threat in Malums direction.

Then slouched in her seat with her chin on the chairs back.
"Well...for one. I'm not gonna try and pronounce Jac'Eli'Serum every time I want to refer to you. Jacky maybe. Viz...hm. Just probably not Elise, that's...too awkward. Unless it's to mess with him." she let that sit for a bit trying to think if she could come up with something OTHER than Elise, "For two though, speaking of messing with him, we need to get back at Malum for that, got any ideas in particular?"

She tried to use the force to gently and slowly push the book closed to try and pressure the girl to return to the conversation.
