DESCRIPTION
Ember Tokens are bone-and-glass talismans carried by Iron Howl warriors, scouts, or saboteurs operating in the field. Each token is specially hand-forged, inscribed with sigils that reflect the user's name, sins, and spirit. Once attuned, it acts as a psychic whisper bead, letting the bearer "feel" messages across the Ashline—the Emberline Array's psionic mesh.
These messages aren't words. They are pulses: urgency, danger, direction, vengeance, sorrow. A packmate may send a flash of crimson rage to alert others of combat, or a cold ripple of dread to signal retreat. Users speak in shared pain and instinct, an unspoken language forged through cult devotion.
In death or betrayal, the token burns white-hot, destroying itself and sometimes the bearer. To hold a token is to bear a shard of the Maw's will—a reminder that one is never alone… or unseen.
