It is was a first step Bryn had made in making herself into a person and not just a drone. Gone was the girl that had been kidnapped and Vanessa offered her a new life. That was something the teen would come to appreciate, but didn't know that now. Right now, she was like a newborn and did not have a personality to match her body and mind.

"Is this going to be my room?"

She also wondered if she was only going to be clothed in this robe or if there were other things she could wear. In a way, she wanted to go shopping and pick out items that would contribute to her becoming a person all her own. Another thing Bryn wanted to do was make the blond happy.

"When can I start?"

"Yes." She said, being as polite as she could. The best thing Vanessa could allow for right now was a comfortable social development. Bryn would essentially be forced to relearn her life, to reform her personality into something Vanessa could more appropriately work with. After all, Bryn was going to be a superb guardian and protector. She had already proven that the augments provided to the Dark Troopers would function with few if any issues - Farah was already getting to work on them now - but now it was time to repurpose her creation to other ends.

"You can start whenever you'd like." She said. She would get teachers here immediately.

Not remembering where she had come from, the room was entirely acceptable to Bryn. The blank slate she was Vanessa could mould and form any way she wanted. Her enhanced strength, reflexes and sight were just the beginning.

"I should probably start after a good few days of rest."

Not that she thought of the consideration in getting teachers there in any amount of time. Bryn felt it would do her body some good to give it and her time to adjust to its changes.

“That probably is a good idea.” She said. Bryn would be molded into Vanessa’s perfect soldier. A combination of human and machine, perfectly synchronized together. She would be retrained in how to socialize, how to be human - while also learn out how to use her abilities as a cyborg to become an exceptionally lethal unit. This combination would serve her well.

“I’ll let you relax - in five days I will check in with you.”

The five days seemed to pass in a flash for Bryn. They were well spent days though and she pushed herself to both recover and learn about her body. The strengths and weaknesses it had and what her current limits were. She knew she was sill going to need time to adjust, but had gained full control of her physical form by the time Vanessa returned to her.

At the moment the blond picked, she was sitting on the floor with her legs stretched as far apart as they could be. In a move that was still a bit stiff, but much better than it had been just a few days before, Bryn was on her feet and bouncing on them slightly. Looking at her creator, there was adoration in her eye.

"That was a great idea. I think I am recovered well enough to do whatever you want me to learn."

"Well... I suppose we need to get to it." Vanessa would begin to teach Bryn the basic tools of the trade. How to use blasters. How to drive a speeder and various other vehicles. From there it would advance onto basic lightsaber training. Vanessa would send Bryn to other Sith teachers in order for her to develop such skills. Upon her return she would teach Bryn of the usefulness of poisons, silenced weapons, and all different other means of killing.

Near the end of her training, Vanessa would smile, giving her a hug and a pat on the head as she always did. "You're doing a good job. Now there is but one last thing for you to do. One trial for you to perform." She said. Are you ready to hear it?"

Soaking the knowledge up like a sponge, the months spent under the teaching of Vanessa and others, Bryn quickly learned from them. The physical training, she excelled at and took to the assassin training almost as easily. When it came to the Force, it was a little bit more difficult, but eventually she could harness at least some fundamentals of it.

Wrapping an arm around Vanessa, she nodded when asked if she was ready to hear about a trial.

"Of course. I would do anything for you."

Any and all traces of who she had been before were gone and in place of that girl now stood a trained assassin and slave to Vanessa. Maybe not a slave exactly but something very close to that.

"That's exactly what I wanted to hear." Vanessa smiled as she gave Bryn a pat on the head, hugging her servant. Of all the beings that had served her, Bryn was the closest thing Vanessa had been able to craft into an ideal servant. Devoted. Willing to do whatever it is she asked of her. And cordial as well. With the training she had provided, Bryn would be exceptionally powerful and otherwise lethal. Vanessa would bring over a soft and fuzzy blanket - alchemized to be softer than anything else - and hug Bryn with it. "Get comfy, my servant. Tomorrow, we have a splicing project I wish to test."

Perhaps Bryn's abilities could become even more potent than they were now, with just a little bit of a push...

To think Bryn didn't have a backbone of courage would be a mistake. Vanessa and the people around them were all she knew. However, she had watched the interaction between some of the workers here. Most of the time things went smooth and there were no altercations or arguments. Once in a while human nature came out and she was witness to them. Not arguing with her master, she did a mental eye roll.

"Are you going to poke and prod me more?"

Taking the blanket from the other woman, she wrapped herself up in it and made herself comfortable. There wasn't anything Bryn wouldn't allow Vanessa not to do, so while the question had been asked, there would be no resistance from the teen.

"What is going to be tested?"

Leaning against Vanessa as she was hugged, there was true curiosity in her tone.

“I am going to send you to the other side of Malachor.” She said. “The moment you reach your destination, I will provide you with the name of your first target. You will hunt them down and kill them, then deliver proof of the kill to me. A simple enough situation.” She said, smiling - after all, this was going to be a very interesting first mission, one she was certain Bryn could not expect.

Very much not expect.

In the months of her training and education, Bryn had learned about geography and knew what world they were on. The thought of getting out of the facility she was in was a good one and she looked forward to this assignment. It would be the first test of many Vanessa sent her on, but she wasn't going to fail.

"So this will be my last night of being cloistered in here?"

Not giving any question or having a second thought on killing somebody, it should be noticed Bryn didn't feel it was wrong in any manner. That was part of the programming given to her after her mind had been wiped. Brainwashing did that to a person.

"What other information can you tell me tonight?"

"Essentially." Vanessa replied. "This trial will determine exactly whether or not I can in fact use you as the assassin you have been trained to become." She provided Bryn with a datapad containing the precise location of her target - it was a female scientist, located on the other side of Malachor in a laboratory similar to Vanessa's own. "Your trip to eliminate her starts now. You have twenty-four hours."

That would be enough time for Vanessa to get everything prepared.

The information was given to her and Bryn nodded. She was still young and this would be her first mission. Being given 24 hours, she knew she needed to get started if she was going to succeed. Gathering up what would become the garb she wore while on missions, her face was hidden by a mask and her form by a long cloak.

A name and location was provided. Wrinkling her nose slightly, she headed out. Doing what research she could about Elana along the way, by the time she arrived, about 1/4 of the time given to her had elapsed.

Over the next few hours, she surveyed the area and made her plans.

The location was almost familiar. A laboratory. A woman was the target in question. She would note a pair of rather generic guard droids at the front door to the laboratory. There was not much more to indicate other than the laboratory was not that large, that complicated, or otherwise in theory difficult for her to navigate. There were no obvious signs of external security. This would for all intents and purposes be a piece of cake.

Wouldn't it?

The cyborg took note of the droid guards and layout of the laboratory. Everything appeared that it would be an easy mission, but something in the back of Bryn's mind told her differently. If this was something easy, then why hadn't Vanessa already done this herself?

Keeping that in mind, Bryn made her move. Taking the droids out wasn't an issue and their crumpled and dented forms laid on the ground at the door. Looking at the door, she peered into the lock and then back at one of the droids. Shaking she head, she kicked at the door instead to try and just break it down.

The door would give surprisingly easily. Two guard droids inside would turn their weapons on her and soon prepare for her arrival, firing at her, though they would be as quickly deactivated as the others. Upon reaching the main laboratory, the door would prove to be unlocked. It was inside there that the scientist was working over a laboratory experiment of some sort. She would quickly turn around and grab a cylinder that looked like a baton. "Stay back! Stay away from me!" She yelled.

Everything was going according to plan.

The teen was here on a mission and the droids weren't an issue for her to remove from the operation. One laboratory looked much like another so Bryn didn't think anything too much of appearances. She opened the door and found herself facing the woman she was after.

Not having any second thoughts about her duty, she went in for the kill. Wanting to make this quick since she was on the clock and had to return before the end of the 24 hours.

Pulling out a knife, the girl threw it at the woman that was trying to defend herself with the baton.

The woman saw her prepare the knife and ducked behind a counter, the knife impaling itself in a concrete column behind her. Not knowing where the next attack would come from, she would have the baton ready to go. Of course, what Bryn did not know wouldn't hurt her - regardless as to what direction she came from she would be met with the woman swinging a baton at her, attempting to get herself a solid whack in to drive the assassin back.

Soon, it would be time for Vanessa's twist to come into play.

Her body was strengthened with metal and as such, it would take a lot of effort to truly harm it. This was something Bryn knew quite well. Having just completed months of training, she had been through some serious exercises. So even though her target was prepared to strike her with that baton, it wasn't going to drive her away.

"Hiding isn't going to do you any good."

Focusing with her cybernetic eye, Bryn was able to see where the woman cowered behind the counter.

The woman would continue to be hunkered down there until she decided to make a break for the door. She would leap out from behind the bar and attempt to get to the door behind Bryn. Perhaps she would be able to escape.
