Standing on top of a branch of redwood tree Minerva looked out to the open field of grass yards away, to the north. From the east she heard screeching and turned her head noting a pair of condor dragons chasing one another akin to a dogfight between starfighters. Having been to the forest moon multiple times over the years she had learned a great deal about the creatures and beings who lived here and knew the two dragons weren't really fighting but something else. Snorting to herself she thought.

Must be mating season.

At that moment Mandalorian thought of Drego Ruus before chuckling. Both of them had their own thing going and if their new relationship lasts through that then good but if not then no harm done. They both made that clear to each other. Minerva shook her helm in bemusement before turning her attention back to the field. She had set up a little device within there sending out a tracer signal to a specific ship, carrying her new team leader and several Jedi to land there.

"We all need a break from everything, however short this trip will be." Minerva said out loud. So now she was waiting for them to arrive and to be their tour guide.

A Lantern Bird squawked eighty meters behind her before flapping away. She didn't even bother to turn around. Soon enough though Minerva heard the sound of engines and saw a vessel dive out of the clouds. Smiling Minerva leaped and sped toward the vessel and maneuvered around on the right flank to follow alongside them. Waving at those occupying the cockpit she said through the comms.

"Glad you made it, see ya folks on the ground."

Within two minutes they both began their mutual descent. Landing on both feet in ahead she felt the wind surfing all around her as the ship followed course. A flock of more lantern birds panicked and fled out of the trees on the eastern side, flying elsewhere.

Minerva walked through the grass toward the side of the ship where its ramp was. It wasn't long before it came down with a thud amidst steam hissing. Waving her right hand the armored commando exclaimed.

"Welcome to Endor everyone!"

"Welcome to Endor everyone!"

Loomi wasted very little time moving in to give her friend a hug. It was a simple gesture, one she hadn't managed to give the last time they met. Once she was satisfied, Loomi stepped back and folded her arms behind her back. There were plenty of new faces here today, which meant potential new friends. That was always a good thing.

Especially with things all weird.

"Thank you for bringing us out here," Loomi chirped. "I'm excited to find a good spot."

It would give her a chance to practice her Mist Weaving skills. They had been improving lately, and she was pretty close to completing the dragon. She hoped she'd get a chance to show Auteme Auteme at some point.

A noble spirit embiggens the smallest being
The cacophony of D-Squad's organic members was a series of arguments and never-ending modifications to their equipment. Every space that they occupied was dedicated to their gear or their Droids, and none of the work was ever complete. There wasn't enough space for all of them, despite the majority of the members of D-Squad being less than a foot tall.

There was Captain Anchat Anura himself, a Zilkin, who attempted to impose at least some kind of semblance of order on his team. He was handy enough with a Hydrospanner, but he wasn't an engineering specialist like the rest of his team. He was the planner, the analyst, and the field commander. But D-Squad had an order and discipline all its own. His ride was a Jedi Securitron, a gift from the Order, SCR-XIV. Anchat had been thoroughly impressed with its performance, and it had quickly become his favored Droid. On the back of XIV was an armored cockpit that Anchat was standing on top of, trying to get D-Squad ready 'for the mission.'

Kran Drokli was an Ugnaught, the smartest and best engineer of the lot of them, and she was insistent upon her authority. Rather than riding on a Droid, she had a Repulsorlift basket with a pair of Droid arms that could be manually controlled, and they were never finely attuned enough to her satisfaction. The ride down to the surface of Endor was a good enough place to keep making adjustments.

The smallest, but far from least, was Imuwii, an Anzellan. His Droid was a Raven GARD II Droid, GARD-O. He was engaged in an argument with Kran about the recall and cover protocols of a spherical Remote droid that kept trying to fly away from him. The Cathar Padawan Gem-in-Trash had made a game of chasing the Remote down and holding it in place while Imuwii worked on it. She kept it secret that she'd let it 'escape' a couple of times so that she could chase after it again.

The largest member was Urgwumpawee, a Wookiee with dark, nearly-black fur. His choice of gear had been practical for the mission at hand. Sensors, climbing gear, rope, and so forth. It wasn't that they hadn't brought gear - Anchat had made sure they had everything they needed - but Urgwu knew there was more to navigating a rainforest like Endor than the right tents and water.

A red R9 Astromech, R9L-M4, beeped objections to observations that it needed cleaning, repair, and a memory wipe.

Finally was the long, furry, and batlike Squag, who shared the repulsor basket with Kran. She resembled a furry worm with a bat's face and bat's wings, and was capable of long periods of flight. For most of the trip, she hung from the ceiling upside-down, trying to offer helpful advice to her teammates, and saying hello to their Jedi guests.

"All right, D-Squad, let's try and do a proper lineup for Captain Minerva Fhirdiad Minerva Fhirdiad , if only just to get ourselves organized?" Anchat instructed. As soon as the door opened, the team piled out, lining up from left to right: Imuwii on GARD-O, then R9L then Kran and Squag in the Repulsor Bucket, and then Urgwu. Beside him was a bonus member: Padawan Gem-in-Trash, who was still holding the Remote Droid. They all gave salutes to Captain Anchat, standing on XIV's shoulder, who gave a sigh.

"Good enough. Captain Minerva, D-Squad is reporting for operations."

This was majorly out of Reina's comfort zone. A dry arboreal planet surrounded with trees and wild-life? She'd rather have stayed in bed but she was doing her best to get out of her comfort zone. She had to make sure that her fake leg had its foot put in place. Walking in muddy ground with a spear for a leg would just be a recipe for disaster. She just sighed to herself as she stood ready with her fellow padawans, a half-hearted smile on her face. She might as well try to enjoy it. How could this camping trip get any wor-...

A sudden grimace came across her face at the sight of the incoming droids. Great. Looks like the camping trip could get worse. The various buckets of bolts had put her and the crew she had served with out of a job. She had to do her best to just relax though. She knew she could be...thorny on the best of days so Reina decided that she'd have to keep a hold of her tongue to make sure she didn't say too much out of step.

Her eyes darted over towards her fellow Padawan hugging the Mandalorian at least and...raised her hand in an attempt of a greeting. Reina hadn't had much of a great track record with Mandalorians herself. She had nothing against them at the end of the day. Just had gotten into a fair few scraps with other Mandalorians. Once her little wave was done, Reina just folded her arms along her front, ready to get down to camping.

Jedi Robes

Mykel dipped his head toward Minerva with an easy, grateful nod. "Thank you for putting this together, Captain. It really means a lot. I've always wanted to see Endor."

Outside of a few missions and the recent conclave on the NJO's relocation, he hadn't really had much time to get to know many members of the New Jedi Order or the Galactic Alliance in general. Coming from a tight-knit community of Jedi on Coruscul, the Padawan was eager for new fellowship. His master was always there for him, but that was a different kind bond, between student and teacher.

His hazel eyes shifted across the small but growing crowd, taking in the different faces. Some laughter in pockets. Droids shuffling onto the scene (as a technopath, he found them rad!). But then there was a woman ( Reina Daival Reina Daival ) standing cross armed, looking guarded. Currently feeling a little awkward himself, he could certainly relate.

"Do you mind if I steal a patch of ground here?" He asked her, finally trying to break ice with his cohorts.

Stepping out in traditional robes with a backpack, Kuzon Lu-Ten looked out in wonder at the forest. He heard the call of various creatures and felt the breeze of the wind. The Bothan allowed himself a moment to close both eyes and sigh. It was good to be back in a forest. It wasn't Kashyyyk, still Endor had in his opinion, one of the greatest forests in all the galaxy.

His fascination was cut short with a stark reminder when Loomi ran over to hug an emerald armored Mandalorian who was acting as their guide. He tensed up a bit despite the fact she was addressed as a fellow captain by Anura and his squad. Kuzon tried to look away, not wanting to be caught staring. Instead he looked up to the sky then more of the redwood trees to the western side. Soon enough a smile surfaced on Kuzon's face and whispered in wonder.

"It's more amazing than what the holos show us."

Looking over to his fellow Jedi and their allies, he thought.

To think we'll all be journeying together through this ancient wilderness. He couldn't help but remember that the sanctuary moon was the tide for the Rebel Alliance. Where the prophecy of the chosen one was fulfilled by Anakin Skywalker and from there on his son, Luke would restore the Jedi Order. Of course the beings who lived here had their own legends and histories here.

Oh the possibilities. Kuzon couldn't wait but to write about this and whatever he'll learn here.

Finally he spoke up. "I have read of this moon and seen footage but to be actually here is….better."

The jungle of Endor was alive in a way few worlds could rival — every breath of wind carrying the rustle of towering redwoods, the low hum of unseen creatures, and the dappled sunlight filtering like gold through a canopy older than memory.

Valery moved through it like she belonged there.

Clad in her sleek black jumpsuit, every step she took was fluid, silent — the product of years spent in places where sound could mean death. It was a balance between utility and something more... confident. Dangerous. Her boots barely made a sound on the soft earth, though the undergrowth brushed gently against her legs as she walked, fingers occasionally trailing over moss-covered bark or lifting to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear. She'd tied her hair up, high and tight, but the heat was starting to bring a few wisps down around her face — giving her a wild, untamed edge.

Valery paused by a stream, crouching low as she dipped her fingers into the cool water. She didn't need the Force to feel the life in this place. It breathed all around her, pulsing through roots and leaves, echoing softly in the back of her mind. A moment's peace.

Her amber eyes lifted toward the sky, watching a pair of birds twist above the canopy in a dance as old as the stars.

A smirk touched her lips.

Endor wasn't new to her, but every visit felt different. Today wasn't about missions or wars or diplomacy — it was about breathing again. About remembering what the galaxy looked like without fire and death chasing at her heels.

She rose smoothly, hands brushing off on her thighs, and set off again through the trees. Every sway of her hips, every graceful pivot around fallen logs or twisting vines, carried a quiet ease. She wasn't on the hunt today.

She was just... free.

Jonyna had come here for much more than just camping. Endor felt like home, but every forest did. No, Jonyna had spent the last few days digging through archives, in both the temples, and galactic records.

She was looking for something.

When they arrived, Jonyna pulled Val aside, cluing her in on her mission. Supposedly, somewhere out there in the woods, was a relic. Left there by an old man, simply wanted to leave a piece of himself as a memorial to his finest hour. While Jonyna would normally honor that wish, the cathar wanted to turn one memorial into another.

Somewhere out there, was Red Five, the Starfighter of Luke Skywalker.

Jonyna wanted to put it outside of the Tython Temple, as a museum piece. A reminder of where the Order had come from. Her own way of paying respect to the man she had dubbed 'Farmboy'.

"Apparently he parked it just outside of where they burned Vader's body. No idea where that could be, but I've got a few inklings." Jonyna said with a smile to her friend and mentor. "First thing we need to do is find that old Imperial Shield Generator."
