SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: The Ensolican Hierarchy is a hierarchical meritocracy. By definition, this means that one's individual achievements directly influences the amount of power they hold within Ensolican society. A seasoned general who has seen many victories in his time would be considered to be much higher in both social and political status than that of a florist while a successful professor could be in the same league as the general. This is all kept in line by set ranks the Hierarchy calls Tiers. There are currently 12 achievable Tiers in Ensolican society. Each tier is separated by many restrictions in order to properly define one's place in society. Each citizen of the Hierarchy starts at Tier 1 up until they graduate the Ensolican equivalent of high school education which is when they are advanced to Tier 2. Tier 3 is reserved for those who either complete higher learning or contribute some groundbreaking to society. Further Tiers are attained by achieving more in ones life. One is not advanced a tier until they present their achievements to a direct superior and that superior deems the person ready to be advanced in Tier. Tier 12 is as far as one can reach in the Hierarchy. This tier is reserved for the greatest in Ensolican society. These people have either saved countless lives with their contributions, reigned in a new era of technological advancement for Ensolica, or made a discovery so influential to the betterment of Ensolica that they are rightly deserving of being considered Tier 12. In order to not give too much power to too many, Tier 12 is kept to a maximum of 5 Ensolicans. These 5 are considered to be the actual true government body within the Hierarchy as they make the decisions in regards to the Hierarchy as a whole. They are known as the Archons.
  • Membership: Several hundred thousand citizens currently inhabit the Ensolican Hierarchy's cities and colonies. Just like any other government, one can either be born into citizenship of the Hierarchy or one can go through a rigorous application process in order to become a citizen. However, in order to claim citizenship with the Hierarchy, the applicant must abandon any other citizenship they claim. Also, when one becomes a citizen of Ensolica, they begin at Tier 2 no matter what their prior achievements may have been. If they did not affect Ensolica directly in any way, the Hierarchy does not recognize them.
  • Climate: The Ensolican Hierarchy is seen as a fair government that truly cares about it's people. And they truly do. The amount of support each Ensolican gives one another to not only better themselves as a person but to better their brothers and sisters around them. There is some conflict between those of higher tiers and lower tiers, but, for the most part, it is kept contained.
  • Reputation: Other governments see the Ensolican Hierarchy as a heavily friendly figure. They are open to trading with others and sharing technology. Through this mingling of cultures, Ensolica is made better in the process which is the goal of the Hierarchy.
  • Curios: Each member of the Ensolican Hierarchy carries with them a special ID 'card' that shows basica information such as name, age, date of birth. Much like an ordinary identification card. What makes this card different is that it also shows the tier the person is. That and it is implanted digitally into oneself. The ID can be read by special government readers that scans ones forearm for a string of code, which is invisible to the eye but seen by the scanners, which then outputs the person's identification. this stops people from forging identification and pretending to be a tier they have not yet achieved.
  • Rules: The Tier system is what governs the people of the Ensolican Hierarchy. Each tier is a level within society that comes with certain freedoms and certain restrictions. The higher one is in the Tierlist, the more freedoms they can pursue. There are, however, exceptions and rules that must be followed no matter one's tier. Crime of any kind is prohibited in Ensolican Hierarchy borders. Any who would break these laws would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
  • Goals:
To never become stagnant and complacent
  • Expand borders

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Ensolican Hierarchy started as a simple council of representatives from the tribes that inhabited Ensolica at the time. Soon, these tribes were engaged by the Old Republic in order to bring them and their people into the Republic. They, eventually, accepted their offer and Ensolica was then represented in the republic. As time went on, the Ensolicans had advanced and evolved as a people. With the growing help of technology, these tribal villages soon turned into growing cities. It was around this time that the Ensolican Hierarchy known today had begun to form.

During the Sith War, many Ensolicans signed up to fight for the Old Republic against the invading Sith. The Sith's lust for death and destruction was a clear obstacle to progression, which made them an enemy of Ensolica and her people. Hundreds of Ensolicans lost their lives in the war, but not one was forgotten. After the end of the war, a monument was built to remember the brave who put their lives on the line in order to achieve peace.

When the Galactic Republic formed, Ensolica honored it's oath to the Republic and continued to support them until the end.

Not long before the Clone Wars, the Ensolican Hierarchy sought to build their own defensive force. With aid from the Galactic Republic, the Ensolican Hierarchy was able to establish the Ensolican Armed Forces, a combination of both army and navy that would protect the interests of the Ensolican Hierarchy, both foreign and domestic. The EAF would meet with Separatist Forces that came to Ensolica in order to conquer the world and bring it into the Confederacy. After several months of conflict, and with the aid of the Republic, the Separatists were driven off and Ensolica was saved.

After the Republic fell and the Galactic Empire rose, the Ensolicans simply focused on themselves. The Archons did not trust the Galactic Empire and believed that something sinister was behind it all, but they did not act on it themselves. Instead, many Ensolicans went and joined the Rebellion. The Hierarchy aided the Rebellion with what they could without alerting the Empire. It wasn't much, but it was better than what most worlds did. The Hierarchy truly wanted the Republic restored and were willing to do whatever it took to see it happen. When the Empire fell and the New Republic was formed, the Ensolican Hierarchy was commended for their aid in the restoration of the Republic.

Many centuries later, Ensolica was hit by the deadly plague known as the Gulag Virus. Nearly half the population was killed by the virus before they were able to contain it. The Hierarchy went dark, cutting off communications and trade with other worlds until a solution was found for the virus. Most of the Ensolican colonies throughout the system were lost because of the Gulag Virus, leaving only ruined buildings and bodies.

400 years of silence went by and the Hierarchy was still recovering. They managed to weaken the virus enough on Ensolica in order to safely inhabit their cities once more. The EAF was soon reformed and colonies slowly began to grow once more. Since then, the Ensolican Hierarchy has brought it's nation back into a stable state. Trade soon flourished once more and the Hierarchy had become great again.
