Escort Duty

Hevana Martin

Hair-triggered Super Soldier
Hevana was still adapting to her life as a mercenary but she had her first job on her own! It was not the most glorious of jobs maybe, running escort for some small time CEO of a local planetary corporation. The kind of work that netted minimal profits, but was apparently good for publicity that they would take any job. Or something. HOnestly Hevana could not care less about the business end of it, the actual mission was more important. It had been awhile since she had felt like she was in the military doing her duty. It was nice.

Luckily she was only required to drive a speeder around, acting as both driver and bodyguard while the CEO went on some high priority business trips to less than reputable parts of the planet. Anything bigger than a speeder and Hevana... probably would have had to turn the mission down. As it was she had been forced to relearn the speeder and such given how different it was from stuff during her time.

"Driver, take a right here."

"I am well aware of wear the GPS is telling us to go, Sir," Hevana answered. This was going to be a long mission.

Spencer had a bit of free time now a days. She was given a bit more freedom from the temple now that she had a Master to watch over her. The Padawan didn’t have to have the temple constantly monitoring her movements. So today she decided she wanted to go to a city like planet and enjoy her time there, it was going to be a couple of days that she would have to herself so there wasn’t much she needed to worry about. Wearing a cloak over her body she moved through the streets quickly, she wanted to see some of the shops in the area. Spencer had accumulated enough credits to maybe buy a civilian shirt or some food.

It didn’t her long to get to the part of the city where the shops where and she was crossing the street when something shiny appeared out of nowhere! Kneeling down she scrapped up the small crystal spec and examined in the middle of the road not really paying any attention to the traffic…or well the speeder that was headed her way. When it got too close for it to avoid her, Spencer jumped and landed on the hood and stared straight into the driver’s seat. Blinking she waved with a shy grin.

“I’m sorry!”

Jumping off the car she stood on the sidewalk and dusted herself off.

Things were going smooth, no close calls. Not running over animals. Only eight more directions from the back seat driver that was only not being beat on currently because he was technically her employer at the moment. Her patience was starting to wear thing though.
Before she could continue contemplating her employer's imminent demise, she spotted a figured stopped in the middle of the road! Immediately she stepped hard on the brakes, but it looked like she was going to hit the frakking idiot until they jumped up and landed on top of the car! It was then that she got a glimpse of the pretty face underneath before the girl apologized and jumped off back onto the ground. Even for a super human like Hevana that had been... startling.
"The hell was that?" her employer asked sounding startled.

"Looked like a girl."

"Is she okay? I don't need this kind of publicity."

"I'll check." Getting out of the speeder, dressed in uniform, Hevana walked over to wear the girl was dusting herself off. "What are you, suicidal? You don't just stop in the middle of the road!"

Spencer stood on the side of the street and adjusted her cloak while the woman in a uniform came up to her. The young Jedi could sense a bit of her frustration, the vibes weren’t as strong as they were with a force user, but Spencer could read it just fine. Dropping her hood from her head she looked both ways around her, she didn’t know what to say and knew that she could have killed people. Stuttering slightly, she tilted her head and then did her best to focus her words.

“I-I I didn’t see you coming. I thought I had dropped something and went to get it. I’m sorry but you seem to be okay? If not I-I can heal you!”

The young Jedi opened her hand offering it to the woman in uniform. Spencer didn’t think she was hurt, but the offer was still on the table. She did her best to smile through it all even though she felt extremely guilty for making the woman late for whatever functions she was headed towards. Spencer let her hand hang out for a minute and felt the tips of her fingers flex slightly awaiting the driver’s hand to appear there if she was in need of healing.

“I am really sorry; if there’s anything I could do I’d gladly do it to make it up to you.”

It was proving very hard to stay angry at this woman, especially once the hood went down. To say Hevana had a weakness to pretty faces was much like saying Palpatine was a generally unpleasant chap. That she was acting all cute and stuff only made it worse! Then she mentioned something about healing and Hevana just sighed. Great. A jedi. Not that she had anything particularly against Jedi, even if she had spent a large portion of her former career hunting them. Hell the closest thing to a friend she had these days was a Jedi.

"No, it's fine," Hevana said shaking her head. Then her wonderful employer popped his head out, clearly unable to sit and wait like a good boy. Frakking men, always acting like such a pain in her rear.

"Is everything alright? We really must be going."

Hevana just rolled her eyes and was about to say something snide when an idea popped into her head. Quietly she whispered to the girl, "you said you'd do anything right?" Then she spoke a bit louder. "Well we seemed to have messed up her clothing, and she might have some more injuries we haven't noticed yet. It might be best to take her with us, so I can take care of her while your in your meeting."

"Oh fine, just lets be off." Then he was back in the car.

Hevana smiled and winked at the Jedi once he was out of earshot. "Sitting around while he talks business is boring as all hell. How about you and I go shopping or something, you really need to lose the robes."

Spencer blushed as the woman leaned in to whisper her. It was the tickle of her warm breath against her delicate skin that started to drive her a little insane. She didn’t understand why little things like this made her feel this way. It was as if she lost control of herself in situations like this. Regaining a bit of herself as the woman pulled away and turned her attention towards the man in the car. Holding her robes she frowned and wondered what was wrong with her clothing.

She nodded and followed the woman back to the car and tilted her head. Spencer slowly removed her robe and folded it into her lap. The tight tunic clung to her frame as she rubbed her arm slightly nervous since the only people that ever saw her like this were other Jedi.

“That sounds fun, I’ve never been shopping before. Will you help me pick pretty clothes out? I want you to like my clothing.”

Hevana's eyes wandered a bit when Spencer took the robe off, but for the moment she was trying to be good and do her job. "Never been shopping before? Girl, when I'm done with you the other Jedi will be falling all over you! Get in the passenger seat and we'll be off."

Once the Jedi had gotten in, Hevana got in as well and started moving again ignoring the irate sounds coming from behind them. Apparently some people took offense to cars parking in the middle of the road. The trip was only a few minutes more, so Hevana held off on talking. Somehow she felt she did not want her employer listening in on the conversation. Like it would somehow... sully it. That was a silly notion, and certainly not one she had ever held before, which only made it all the odder.

Finally they arrived at the nondescript building and the CEO got out. Once he was gone, Hevana turned and smiled to her co-pilot. "Now that he's gone, we can have some fun with just the two of us. Here, we haven't properly introduced ourselves yet. I'm Corporal Hevana Martin, Omega Pyre."

Spencer tilted her head at the thought of other Jedi coming on to her. It was silly because the Jedi were so against emotions and having those sort of relationships. She continued to play with the robe in her lap as silence feel upon the car. She didn’t want to break it so she just kept quiet. Once the car stopped and the back seat opened up, Hevana decided to introduce herself. Spencer extended a hand as she returned the girl’s smile.

“Padawan Spencer Jacobs, Jedi Order. Its nice to meet you Hevana. I again apologize for being in the way. I didn’t notice things around me.”

Remembering the comment of all the Jedi being on her, Spencer shook her head slightly and looked away from the Omega Pyre member.

“The Jedi don’t have relationships like that – we don’t get all over each other. The robes are simple because that’s the type of life we lead I guess.”

Her nose wrinkled up as she thought about her simple life and wished she could have a bit more freedom, but she usually found trouble when she did.

Hevana broke into a giggle... something she hated doing, but could never seem to help. "When I come from, Jedi were not nearly so reserved when it came to a bit of fun. I'm sure the Jedi nowadays aren't much different Now that I think about it Major Kerrigan used to be a Jedi and she... certainly knows a trick or two."

As she spoke she realized she was been rude to her guest. "Nevermind, forget I said anything. I said we were going to have fun so let's go have fun!"

Getting out of the car, Hevana went around and offered a hand to help the Jedi out. "Come on, let's get you some new clothes." Dragging Spencer along by the hand, the mercenary lead the way through the streets a grin on her face. "I think I saw a shop this way that had clothes that would look really cute on you!

Spencer tilted her head; she didn’t know who this Kerrigan person was so she couldn’t include herself in the giggles. Her hands slipped from the robe as it fell on the floor of the car while she was dragged out of it by her hand. She didn’t know what to do, this was something entirely new. What was happening was something out of the holofilms, she had a new friend and she was going to take her shopping. Maybe Spencer would meet someone cute and go on a date or something. The thoughts flowed through her head as she caught herself watching Hevana briskly walk through the crowd in front of her.

“Cute clothes?”

The young Jedi hadn’t worn anything outside of the tunic. She didn’t know she could wear other clothing and she was curious to see what she would look like. As they drew closer Spencer tried to imagine the type of clothing she would be put in.

“Are you going to help me find clothes and get dressed?”

"I have a feeling if I left it to you, you wouldn't have the first clue what to do," Hevana said looking back with a smile. "Don't worry, I don't bite... unless they beg for it."

A few more buildings down they reached the shop Hevana had spotted, the windows were full of the fashion popular with women in this part of the Galaxy. Only once they were fully inside did Hevana finally let go of Spencers hand, and immediately she began picking up clothes and holding it up to the Jedi. "Hmm, we need something that goes with your eyes, they're far to pretty to hide. Oh and a skirt... or would shorts be better..."

Practised eyes looked Spencer up and down, and then moving down the racks of clothes the merc made a selection of clothing she thought would look nice in the other girl's size. Once she had a selection she ushered Spencer into a fitting room and put all the clothes in a pile.

"Okay, now strip."

Spencer went cross eyed as she tried to follow the merc run around the store picking out clothing. She had never done this before so she let the woman have freedom to do whatever she wanted. Spencer stood there with her arm crossing her chest and holding her other one in reserve trying to figure how the process in which this was happening. Again it was a sudden tug and she was thrown into a dressing room with the other woman. Her command was simple, but Spencer stared at her for a minute.

“What?”

Remembering what strip meant, Spencer cautiously started to undress. She kicked off her leather boots and then proceeded to untie the tunic; slip off her tight cloth pants, and finally removed the tight white undershirt she wore under the tunic. Her eyes fell to the ground where her clothing was piled up. For being a simple Jedi Padawan, the slender frame was adorned with simple yet cute (and matching) bra and panties. Spencer’s knees bent inward as she felt really exposed to the person she had just met.

Her red face remained turned away as she tried to force a smile.

“Okay…uh now what?”

For a moment Hevana just stared. Somehow in all the fun of picking out clothes she had ignored what would be underneath that tunic once it had been removed. To say it was a pleasant sight was understating the case by a fair margin However Hevana was a very proper person, she never went after someone who did not want to be chased... even if they did not yet know they wanted to be chased. So far she had seen no indication that Spencer was in any way interested, and until such a time treating her like a friend not a potential partner was the right thing to do.

She could see how badly Spencer was blushing though, and realized maybe she had been to forceful. The whole situation had becoming intensely awkward without her intending it to be. Well, when life gave you awkward situations you made lemonade or some such thing. Reaching out she took the Jedi's chin gently and pulled her to face Hevana. Once they were looking at each other again, the former scout gave her more reassuring smile. "No need to be embarrassed with just us, even if you are totally my type. Now, how about we get you into some of these clothes?"

Spencer felt her attention drawn to the brunette. Blinking it took her a moment to realize what she had meant by type. Once she realized it her eyes grew wide and she blushed even deeper. Her mouth hung open as she was released and she pulled back.

Her eyes fell from Hevana's face and she attempted to grab a shirt but couldnt move as she thought about her situation. It wasnt that she was almost nude that embarrassed her, it was the fact that she was with another girl and nearly nude.

"I--I felt you looking at me...I..."

Spencer stuttered a bit more and the end of her sentence escaped no higher than a whisper...

"And I liked it..."

Hevana was many things: violent, short tempered, even a bit of a slut. However one thing she was not was a girl able to control herself when presented a difficult moral dilemma On one hand, this girl was clearly innocent. Which made her adorable. On the other hand... her comment had set every nerve ending in Hevana's body on fire. To hear a cute girl, an innocent cute girl, say that she had liked being watched was just to much for Hevana. So, despite a part of her brain yelling at her not to, the mercenary did something possibly immoral.

Cupping the back of Spencer's neck gently, Hevana pulled the Jedi's lips to hers and kissed her.

Spencer didnt expect anything. At first she expected the merc to maybe look at her funny and leave. Of course Spencer didnt want her to leave she enjoyed her company. Though despite all of this Spencer didnt think about the kiss.

Hevana's lips touched hers instantly her eyes went wide and her face turned even a brighter red. She was stunned for a moment and like it was instinct she leaned forward just slightly to show her appreciation of the kiss. Her hands stayed where they were, awkwardly at her side as she didnt know what to do beyond this.

Hevana pulled back from the kiss, not going any further. Looking at Spencer she was not sure whether she should apologize or give a word of encouragement All in all this was a very weird for Hevana, who was normally very in control of the situation. One thing she was sure of, she wanted to spend more time with the Jedi... maybe even go further. Not here though.

"Uh... hey, I'm almost done doing this escort thing I was hired for. Would you maybe like to stick around and go out to dinner or something? I have a hotel room for the night as well."

Spencer nodded as she was released from the kiss. She didn’t know where to go from here, there was just so much going on. Reaching up, she touched the soft tender skin of her lips as she pondered her options. Usually after the kiss from someone they usually laughed at her teasing her for her shyness. Though this time around there was an offer of dinner and a hotel, Spencer didn’t understand the offer of the hotel. After the evening’s activities she usually returned to the temple. Tilting her head to the side she had never stayed at hotel either.

“Um, alright. I am getting kind of hungry…is your hotel near the temple?”

She looked at some of the clothes and pulled out a dress. Spencer quickly pulled it up and noticed that she had a zipper on the back. The last thing she wanted to do was show the woman that she was a Jedi; she had already scared her when she jumped onto the car. Reaching over her shoulder she wiggled her finger trying to grab the zipper. With her failings, she looked over her shoulder towards the Merc and smiled sheepishly.

“C-Can you zip me up?”

"Well I'm always hungry, so its never a bad time for food as far as I'm concerned!" Hevana tried joking, hoping to lighten the mood. "Not sure where the temple is, gonna have to check."

She watched as Spencer dug through the clothes and decided on a dress. It looked good on her as she slipped into it, but secretly Hevana was disappointed that it seemed like all the rest of her clothes were not going to get tried on. And perhaps a disappointed Spencer was getting dressed, which made her feel a bit disappointed in herself. When Spencer asked her for help, she wondered why a Jedi needed help when they could just lift it. Not that she was going to argue, especially when she saw an opportunity to attack.

"Okay, sure," she said. Then Hevana leaned forward, and as she grabbed the zipper her lips brushed against the back of Spencer's bare neck in a light kiss. Then the zipper went up and she backed away with a touch of color rising to her face. "Sorry, I couldn't resist. It was too pretty to leave alone."

"Its okay, I really liked"

Spencer felt the soft lips against her neck, she froze up for a minute and then relaxed. She liked the dress it was pretty on her small frame, she reminded herself that she would buy more of the short summer dresses. She tried on a few more outfits and then when she had tried on everything she slipped back into her Jedi clothing. The blonde smiled as she had the ones she liked the most in her hand which was only the dress she tried on and a pale yellow blouse and jean shorts. She held them close to her and she smiled knowing that she had earned enough credits from the Temple to shop today.

"I"m ready, to go eat. I can hear your stomach growling."

The smile spread wider as she started to slip out of the dressing room and head towards the cashier.
