SPECIAL FEATURES
Features a high turn rate, allowing easier tracking and targeting of enemy starfighters
Strengths:
Anti-Fighter: The ET-2L sports a high fire and turn rate, making it an excellent option for defense from starfighters, light freighters, and if more than one is mounted on a ship, corvette-sized ships.
Weaknesses:
Capital Ships: This weapon is designed to be mounted on corvette and frigate-sized ships to provide a response to starfighters, but does little to no damage to cruiser-size ships or larger even when more than one is mounted.
Armor: Or lack thereof. The ET-2L is not a significantly armored weapon emplacement, and can easily be destroyed by starfighter cannons or missiles.
DESCRIPTION
With the need to protect transports being ever-present in a galaxy at war, the ET-2L is a weapon designed by EODD to keep its ships protected from pirates, thieves, and anyone else who may attempt to rob shipments of goods. Its primary focus is defending against fighters and light freighters, providing significant firepower against these smaller ships, though against anything larger than a corvette it will be of little use other than harassing shields. Of course the thing it’s designed to protect against is also its most common weakness, as starfighter cannons are sufficient to destroy an ET-2L quickly if the weapon does not take out the enemy first.
