Raziel: I'll be using mirror Raziel during Act I and into Act II as something of a mouthpiece of the Emperor. I want to keep the Emperor away from the limelight early doors, keeping him fairly mysterious as his back story is revealing in narrative.

Raziel will be the head of the Department for Re-education. Finding solace in the ordered structure of the Empire, he is privy to the Emperor's plans for a utopia where all citizens follow the law because they want to, not because they are forced to. His formal combat training only goes as far as using sidearms. Instead he uses his keen wit, precognitive awareness and ability to read minds to direct the DfR. He is known for using underhand methods to root out descent amongst the population, even testing individuals by bringing them into contact with revolutionary propaganda.

Could you change this account's name to Keeper

[member="Mirror Emperor"]
Let me know if you would like changes.

nSTjw5x.png
NAME: Keeper
FACTION: The Empire (Conformists)
RANK: Administrator of the Department of Reeducation: Crisis Management
SPECIES: Epicanthix

AGE: 60
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 1.7 Meters
WEIGHT: 70 Kilograms
EYES: Brown
HAIR: Brown with some Grey
SKIN: Caucasian
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
(+) Analytical: As it is his job to analyze and assess threats to the security of the Empire’s capital and regime, Keeper is astute in recognizing and piecing together minor details into the greater pieces of the puzzle.

(+) From the Shadows: As a tenured Intelligence Officer Keeper is adept in fading into crowds, hiding in plain sight, and hiding what little emotions he has from being easily detected. He is more than able to lie blatantly to Lie Detectors and Force Sensitives alike. Those that do encounter him will notice a cold, calculating exterior is mirrored by what thoughts of his they can sense.
(=) Sadist: Keeper is a sadist. He enjoys causing pain, one of the reasons he often deals with interrogations personally. This makes him unnerving to be interact with.
(-) Elderly: Keeper has been at this game a long time, and is no longer in peak condition. The years have not been kind to the Imperial Agent and have left him lithe and frail. Physically he is no direct threat.
(-) Arrogance: Keeper has been dealing with rebels and non-conformists for decades. To him they are all the same and their inevitable destruction is all but guaranteed. As such he is capable of underestimating their capabilities.

APPEARANCE:
Keeper is an average sized, aging man. He has one of those faces that you just can’t remember, average, and difficult to describe beyond a few simple adjectives. He is thin and frail due to his age, but he isn’t useless. He gets around just fine on his own, and while not physically intimidating his voice and cold eyes are known to be disturbing.

BIOGRAPHY:

Born on the Imperial Capital, Keeper was raised to work in the intelligence community, that being his predetermined destiny. Like many others he excelled in his earlier years, inheriting his father and mother’s vigilance and stoic loyalty to the Throne. Once he graduated from primary school he was inducted into the Department of Reeducation first working as an analyst, then as a field agent specializing in observation and surveillance.

After years of working within the department he rose through the ranks becoming the Senior Administrator of the Crisis Management Unit, for what is a terrifying all knowing government agency without a plan for eventual duress against it. That said, the majority of the Crisis unit is spent undergoing drills, reviewing cases from the rest of the department, and going through case studies on current events and developing situations. Keeper's real name has been lost to Imperial Records known only to his superiors, he is a figure of anonymity, as are many of the analysts from the Crisis branch.

NAME: Nergal
FACTION: The Empire (Conformists)
RANK: Chief of Department for Reeducation: Citizen Welfare
SPECIES: Zeltron/Morellian (HRD)
AGE: 98 (looks mid-fifties)
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 184 cm | 6’
WEIGHT: 200 kg | 440 lbs.
EYES: Blue-gray
HAIR: Black, military cut
SKIN: Pale pink
FORCE SENSITIVE: No
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
[+] Strong; natural strength combined with the robust workings of a droid make for a terrifying end result. Arm-wrestling challenges not recommended.
[+] Surgeon; Ironically — or not? — Nergal keeps his medical licence up to date, and practices more in depth and breadth that would perhaps be expected.
[~] HRD; though it comes with many perks, the droid programming makes it difficult to predict the wildly varying gamut of human behavior.
[–] To a T; Nergal follows his orders, his full orders, and nothing but his orders. Deviation and improvisation are not in his vocabulary.
[–] Irritable; it’s so easy to incite his wrath that his underlings are known to have a whole system worked out as to who gets to deliver the bad news to the man and when. He has a reputation for blowing up over the smallest issues, and many a splattered brain has decorated the walls of his office due to this propensity. So many, in fact, that the Chief has invested in polished metal panes to make for easy clean-up.

APPEARANCE:
Nergal looks, walks, and talks like a machine. Always dressed up in a meticulously ironed suit, the man is every bit the exemplar of his Emperor’s regime, harsh and unyielding in the enforcement of His law. His gunmetal eyes regard the world with an air of detachment whether he’s lingering at the back in some official meeting or supervising a re-education course. Despite the fine state of dress, there is no mistaking the slumbering power that rests in stature of this man, and though he rarely utilizes it openly, the aura of power does enough in and of itself. His hands look like they could crush a man’s skull without a problem, and his attitude only reinforces the idea.

BIOGRAPHY:
Little is known about this man, and few could rightly tell what position he occupies on the ladder of power. The fact that he rarely shows his face in public adds to the mystery of his persona, and it suits Nergal well. The work he does for the Emperor is best conducted in dark rooms that don’t exist, and having his grim expression passed from datapad to datapad among the rebellious circles would only hinder his end goal.

Thus he keeps to the shadows, striking brutally and efficiently when and where He commands, never questioning the orders he is given.

Whether he was always like this or if the impassive attitude is merely a side product of his chosen field is unknown, and the likelihood of anyone ever finding out is near zero. His early life is stricken from all record, and only vestiges of an existence before his service to the Throne remain; shreds of evidence that there used to be a man beyond the soulless shell that now knocks down doors and rips apart families.

:)

NAME: Aqulia Audax
FACTION: The Empire (Conformists)
RANK: Head of Ministry of Equality Special Unit
SPECIES: Human

AGE: 23
SEX: Female
HEIGHT: 1.72m
WEIGHT: 63kg

EYES: Blue
HAIR: Blonde
SKIN: White
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum):

She is smart, efficient and has developed a ruthless streak and has become something of a bad-ass – which once makes her the perfect poster girl for the Ministry of Freedom.

Her job is to chase down Force Users who are – quite simply – not working for the Empire. She can be intimidating but presents a limited actual physical threat since she’s not skilled at combat.

+ Combat Reflexes
Aqulia has excellent reflexes.

+ Intelligence
Aqulia is smart which manifests itself in problem-solving and an ability to think ahead.

+ Mechanically inclined
Aqulia is skilled in mechanics and engineering.

+ Swordsman
Aquila has been practicing with swords since she was a toddler and is an accomplished fencer

- Risk taker
If Aqulia sees an opportunity she will take it and often forgets the consequences if she should fail.

- Maverick
Aqulia knows she should follow orders implicitly but sometimes, if she believes they are wrong, she will do her own thing.

- Limited hand-to-hand combat skills
Aqulia is not great with a blaster and a sword isn’t a viable weapon most of the time, so she’s a limited offensive threat

APPEARANCE:

She’s above average height and has piercing blue eyes. Athletic rather than muscular and not at all curvy.

BIOGRAPHY:

Aqulia has been orphaned twice. Once by her biological parents and once by her adopted parents – both due to war. Once aged six months and the other on the day of her 11th birthday. That second event made her despise chaos and the pointless nature of conflict. There must be control. Absolute control.

Her parents were farmers and her adoptive father a sword-maker and adoptive mother an artist. As such, many of her talents and abilities owe a lot to the people that brought her up.

As a young girl she would spend hours in her adoptive father's workshop, watching as metal was forged, hammered, cooled and sharpened into weapons. Her fascination with his profession instils some tomboyish attitudes in her.

Resisting any overtures to be adopted again, worried she was some sort of jinx, she enrolled in the Imperial Academy as soon as she could.

She was an astute tactician and despite graduating second in her class – and voted most likely to make Director first, she has spurned opportunities for promotion, preferring to remain on the ground as, “There you can see the whites of their eyes.” It’s not that she revels in conflict but she sees every NFU captured – or killed – as a chance for greater stability and control.

PERSONALITY:

Aqulia is resilient, brave, resourceful, single-minded and loyal. One the down-side she is demanding, intolerant and dogmatic.

Her outlook on life is simple; a strong leader is admired, a weak leader overthrown. She has principles and is always right. Chaos brings death. In this world there is only order or oblivion. Rank must be respected and feared. The weak will follow sure leaders.

Sin is satisfaction. Everyone has vices.

She believes that ultimately order protects her. She seeks to achieve her own ends — but through order, not chaos. Even when boiling with anger, she is more likely to carefully plot vengeance than risk her own death through hasty actions. Sometimes that revenge will take years to happen, and that is acceptable.

She stops at nothing to gain control, for only through control can she have peace. Yet even the most powerful and ordered society has its enemies, and only the destruction of those enemies can bring fulfilment.

Order is everything, at any cost.

We just need a bit of consistency here.

We have the DfR as the overarching group that keeps tabs on the citizens.

Could we change these to all parts of the DfR: Citizen Safety; Welfare Monitoring; .. I can't think of something for the last one [member="Aqulia Audax"]

They should be a bit 1984. The name on the tin should sound like the group has the interests of everyday citizens at heart. You can say what they really do in the description or in parenthesis. Does that make sense?

Otherwise, loving what I'm seeing here!

OK, given in 1984 the Ministries are named the opposite of what they represent, Aqulia's role is all about containment. So she represents the Ministry of Freedom.

I figure Eralam can be one of the martyrs at the end of Act II. He'll recruit folks using Shards, and when the Empire catches him, they'll try to execute him by firing squad for the whole world to see. He'll Absorb blaster bolts until he reaches his limit and explodes, which gives the rebels the excuse they need to spark off a war.

Height: 5’10
Weight: 175lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blonde
Skin: Tan, tattoos
Force Sense: Yes

Strengths:

Survivalist
Sharp shooter
Organizer of Men

Poor dueler
Weak Force User (TK only and the ability to mask his Force presence)
On the side of the Rebels, Hunted.

Where Mirror Marek breaks off from Chaos Marek is simple. This Marek never had the chance to join the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He was never able to see the Techno Union, he’d never heard of Haor Chall, aside from in passing, and he never became the Foreman of one of the galaxy’s premier industrial communes. Starting as a Zeison Sha adept, and never raising to the rank of a Master, Marek is a Knight rank at best, but a specialized soldier.

Existing within the Empire as the employee of a Dark Star Casino. Remaining in obscurity but knowing something was amiss, that there needed to be a better life than this, Marek was starting to find people who felt the same way, and thus, was there when someone else, not him, founded a rebel movement for the Empire.

Learning all he could, displaying his unique abilities, ones that were outlawed, he eventually became a figurehead in the underground movement.

Name: Eralam

Faction: Rebels
Rank: Spymaster
Species: Shard
Age: OVER 900!!!!!
Height: 2 meters
Weight: 200 Kilograms
Eyes: Glowing red
Hair: Lol
Skin: Durasteel
Force Sense: Yes, very

Strengths and Weaknesses
(+)Force Trained- In a world where Force users are rare and formal training forbidden, even a modest amount of training can be a huge advantage. Eralam's training hardly counts as average. The ancient Shard is one of the last remaining beings who remembers the world before the rise of the Empire, and as such is one of the few combat capable Force users left.
(+)Ancient Knowledge- Along with being one of the few remaining Force users with any training, Eralam is the owner of knowledge long thought lost to the galaxy. He does his best to record what he knows, but there's a lot, far more than he could ever put down on paper. On top of that, one bit of knowledge that eluded him entirely was on the subject of holocron creation.
(+)Spymaster- With a network of capable and resourceful Shards at his disposal, Eralam has been able to place eyes and ears all over the Empire.
(-)Overspecialized- Though Eralam is immensely powerful, his abilities with the Force are limited to the realms of Telekinesis and Absorb. He can do incredible things with either, but is useless in most other areas.
(-)Overly Cautious- Eralam has survived all these years through being careful and paranoid. Some would argue that this has led him to be overly conservative in his thinking.

When the Empire arose, Eralam was ready. The ancient Shard saw the signs and went underground with his network of Shard operatives years before the Emperor cemented his hold on the galaxy. He's been watching, waiting, gathering information and trying like hell not to get caught. The time might be right for direct action, but the old Iron Knight is not yet convinced.

WEAKNESSES:

  • Technophobic

  • Wears his heart on his sleeve

BIOGRAPHY:
Cryax Bane grew up in a small Village on Bakura to a single mother. He lost his father, the infamous criminal slicer, Nightslice Bane, at an early age, and subsequently swore off the use of all but the most the basic technology for the rest of his life. Most of Bane’s childhood was spent caring for his alcoholic mother, Cidaxi, but once he reached his teens he flew to Imperial Centre and enlisted in the Empire's military academy, excelling in combat training and piloting.

The military instilled in Cryax the traits of honor and valor, but many of the Empire’s overreaching tactics, like disintegrating citizens on the spot for dissenting, made him question his loyalty to the Emperor. The more totalitarian the Empire became, the more aware Cryax became that there were others like him who could not stomach the oppression. One day, after witnessing a whole family, children and all, being hauled off to the Department of Re-Education, Bane said "no more." He surreptitiously became involved in the burgeoning rebellion with [member="Marek Starchaser"], organizing sleeper cells of resistance, and smuggling contraband weapons, even ones that were completely outlawed, like lightsabers.
