Arturious smiled.

"Not to worry." "My first day here one of the Lord's challenged me to a duel." "Between the superior saber skills, the force attacks, and the help of another Lord she wiped the floor with me in about the time it takes to take a deep breath."

Arturious held out a hand use the force to create a ball of energy the very basics of force lightening letting it hover there before sending it up into the ceiling to dissipate across the length of the ceiling.

"Combat is just as much about deception as it is about actual skill." "Anyone and everyone will do whatever it takes in the pursuit power and status." "Knowing your opponent is going to do something and knowing when they will do it is two different things."

Hidia watched him as he used his lightning on the ceiling, she was guessing to demonstrate it to her, but she wasn't really sure. "In my experience, combat has been more about using overwhelming numbers and superior strength and equipment to curb stomp the opponent. But, admittedly, 1 on 1 fights was not really a thing that happened where I grew up, so my viewpoint may be somewhat flawed."

Arturious nodded briefly.

"There are times when you may have numbers on your side." "We have no shortage of Troopers and a great number of them are more competent than even some Sith." "However there are also time when you will find yourself alone with no one to watch your back."

Arturious smiled removing his cloak revealing a muscular build but more importantly a large scar going across his stomach and a fist sized scar just to the right of dead center on his chest.

"To survive you must be able to hold your own until help arrives or in some case rely only on your own skills to get you through it." "We all have our little gifts from the path we find ourselves on."

Arturious puts his cloak back on before speaking again.

"Now take what I have shown you today and meditate on them." "Tomorrow we start on the basics of the force." "Specifically Force shock a low level lightening ability that can stun an opponent creating an opening that can be exploited."
