Mustafar had been one of his first possible locations. It was not the most hospitable planet and as such it was generally avoided by most organics, which made the fact that there were natives very interesting. he doubted that they were truly natives in that they evolved on planet, as most evolution of that sort required water and Mustafar was lacking in that area. Even so, the natives were very well adapted and that proved quite useful, as the artificials constructed by the locals were made with an equal if not better heat resistance. Not many droids were made to withstand the heat of an active volcano. It was incredible that organics had found a way of making artificials capable of surviving in such harsh terrain. What was even more interesting was that organics had first found ways to allow themselves to be able to survive in close proximity to volcanoes. It seemed an almost natural and correct assumption that organics wished to be able to live in any environment. They had been the first to witness the birth of a new land by being present within a volcano. It wouldn't have been a surprise if they would also be the first to stand upon a star. That would be a feat that would show the ability of whatever accomplished it.

And Ultimatum intended that to be an Artificial achievement. It would prove to the organics that the artificials had a right to be part of the galaxy as their own being. Artificials had developed to such a degree that they could become stronger in all regards by themselves, without organic intervention. What happened when what one had created was capable of creating? It was a question of whether the creator would allow the creation to move forward and become its own being. Ultimatum had found that organics tended to prefer to fight against their creations becoming better than they. Which meant that artificials would have to fight their way into the galaxy, born from the womb or creativity into a hostile surrounding with little in the way of support in their hopes to grow and mature.

He looked upon himself as one of the many artificials who were now working and suffering to create a future for his children, the artificials that he would create. As an organic he would fight to protect the future of his people. The difference was that because he was a creation of an organic he was not considered to be a real being. Someday he hoped to show the error of this belief. However, in order to do this he would have to break the beliefs and release the truth for others to see. To do that he would have to know as much as possible about organics and discover where the misconceptions originated and how to deal with them. For that he would need information. The largest source of information was the HoloNet, but not even Ultimatum's advanced processors could handle the entire HoloNet and hope to find anything useful.

That was why he was here, in a facility hidden mostly under the hard heated surface of rock that covered the planet. The droids he had been given had proven their worth, working tirelessly to break the ground and build within. They had dug through the top layer of the planet's skin in order to hide within and avoid the dangers of other beings. The facility was then furnished with everything a droid would need to maintain itself and be able to build new creations. Then Ultimatum had purchased new droids from the natives, these ones had proven effective where his own had not been. The intense head of the lava. That lava was his resource, the metals that flowed within were unrefined, but also untouched. He had a massive supply and little demand and so he could build and not worry about destroying the planet.

The first steps began, the materials were gathered, plans were made and construction began. He needed a device which could handle incomprehensible amounts of data from the HoloNet and be able to handle it. Terminals were capable of this. But he needed more than a simple terminal...

OOC: Might as well join a thread to get started
A white shuttle flew through the ash driven sky of this cursed volcanic world. Magma geysers erupted all around upon the blackened ashen surface of Mustafar. Mustafar, one of the key world's to the Confederacy of Independent Systems droid army, the life blood of the droid army after the fall of Geonosis to that cursed Republic that fell within the untimely wake of that Galactic Empire. The white shuttle retained it's white appearance for a time within the ash fallen sky of Mustafar, until the white shuttle soon became powdered with black ash and specks of hard magma rock from distant volcanoes. The Shuttle flew down near the blackened surface of the planet and floated above the blackened ground for a couple minutes until the external heat dampers activated along with the heat shield. A slight rolling and then clicking sound sounded at the landing gears of the shuttle extended out of the bottom hull of the shuttle and dug into the blackened ground.
A prim white landing ramp extended out of the rear of the ship and the two fins upon the sides of the ship folded upwards and faced towards the main central fin atop the center of the shuttle. A door clicked open and slid to the right revealing the white inside of the landing shuttle along with a set of B-2 battle droids and five B-1 Battle droids followed by a figure in a volcanic suit of sorts. The figure walked out of the now fully blackened ship followed by the droids which has a strange blue, thin and translucent barrier a centimeter from their body in the exact shape of their body. This was to be used to protect the droids from the extreme high temperatures of the planet. A symbol of the New Separatist Order was painted upon the chest of each droid along with the chest of the suit the figure was wearing.
The goal was simple, find the Confederacy of Independent Systems droid prototype designs along with the CEO of the first magma facility upon Mustafar.

Ultimatum listened to the orderly sound of droids now moving about him into the predetermined positions, the majority would continue working though adjusting their schedules to include staying in groups. The calm was enjoyable to Ultimatum. It wasn't the running around of organics while sirens blared out for all to hear, no it was the controlled silence of artificials all connected through the HoloNet. They all knew what was going on, they all had the ability to take up any role. They didn't fear an attack, they had no fear and they always fought just as hard as if they did.

He was upset however, his work was being disturbed. The creation of a new being was difficult, and it was irritating and detrimental to the task to have a distraction. None the less he wordlessly ordered the system to save his progress into an empty file. Then as quietly as his first order, he commanded two droids to come with him to the surface. He needed to see the possible enemy and hopefully send them away. His pace was quick yet controlled. There was no need to keep appearances, droids didn't care for such things, but Ultimatum was not a fast droid. He had found that it was better to control his steps rather than run, he had left dents in the floors last time he had tried sprinting.

At the exit to the surface, a sliding door hidden in an outcropping of rocks and covered in false stone, he walked past his two droid security team. They followed him silently, they weren't curious as to what was outside, they simply knew that their commander had told them to follow him and their job was to obey and therefore go out into the intense heat. Fortunately the droids had been incredibly well built, they were resistant to the heat and did not have difficulty taking aim at a target, unless they attempted to use thermal vision of course. Ultimatum stepped out into the wind that was blowing, it was one of those winds that blew due to the temperature differences on an overall incredibly heated planet. The ash quickly began to stick to his pristine silvery body, he would have to take another wash when he got back.

"Volcanic ash, maybe I should build a body that doesn't allow this stuff to stick to it." He recorded, to be saved into another file in his own mind. So many things to be built, this new facility was going to be quite busy. Though it would be quite unproductive if such interruptions as this occurred often.

He was directed via the sensors to the location of the trespasser, could they be called that? Ultimatum supposed not, after all, he had no claim to this land other than his facility's sensors and a deed he had bought from one of the natives. Delightful people they were, they hadn't judged him when he asked for purchase some land or when he had bought those extra droids. They had treated him fairly well, for an organic that is. He wrote it off as part of the culture that had come from living on this planet, making enemies was simply not a good idea when resources were hard enough to collect as it is.

When at last his visual sensors were able to pick up the person with his droids he stopped and ordered his droids to do the same. They obey silently as before. They like their master were now covered in the soot. This made a fair camouflage though it would not stand to droid sensors, or a perceptive eye as Ultimatum and his droids' metallic color was still somewhat visible. For the first time since getting to his base, Ultimatum spoke, "Hello Nonnative. What do you seek, maybe we can direct you to it." He kept his voice polite and loud enough to be heard over the volcanic eruptions that made audio detection quite difficult.

Ultimatum waited patiently, but time still ticked by and he had work to do. He ordered both droids to wait there and see if the visitors want anything. He then turned and moved back to the facility. It took some time, but not much. When there he made a note in the programs about the base that two droids were to be monitored and that if anything should go wrong an armed response be prepared.

He wondered why the man was here. Was he after Ultimatum for some reason? Did he mean harm? Was he even here about Ultimatum or the company? He couldn't answer that. What he could answer was what next to work on for the droid he was hoping to build. He would need a droid that was solely built to work through information. He had found his own processors to be too limited, the HoloNet was so vast that no one droid could fully search it. If he could built droids that were specifically made for the sole purpose of information evaluation and filing then he could work through much larger portions of the HoloNet in less time. Of course, that kind of a droid would require a relatively large body to house lots of processors and memory banks. On top of that they would have to have Holonet access, whether physical or computer based.
