Expansion: Sales for the Future

Valashu visibly was startled. He had never been approached at this form. Hell, he had never had his mind read before! It was to early in his life before his appointment as Kensûrai, so no one had felt the need to. Afterwards, it was respect, and fear, that doing something like that could end horribly.

Would it hurt? Could the memories be stolen? Mentalism just was no where near something he had liked to study, let alone put any effort to. His best was a meager mental shield that could potentially guard against one who wasn't to powerful with those forms of techniques.

Valashu mulled it over...

Nodding he called, "Read me then." With those words, he began to remember the Jensaarai-Ka, his last time he had gone to Coruscant, when he found that the Hutt dominated this planet, and many other things.

Zaiden nodded, and while attempted to keep a form of respect, he moved swiftly to dive into Valashu's mind. Instantly he was thrust into memories that were not his own, nor could they be of a place or time in this universe.

Never had the Hutt controlled the most populated planet in the galaxy. When he saw these memories, he stopped the slide show, and focused on them. Moving about those that involved it, he saw the utter ruin of the lower core of the planet. What had before been slums, now was outright disgusting. Death lay about as common as whores.

Next, he was shown the Empire as it had been renewed. He paused again, to check into this, and quickly discovered that Matreya knew it had defeated the One Sith. A smile spread across his face at this, for at the head was Ashin Varanin. She had seemingly returned to the darkside a while before, rousing a following before marching on the One and defeating the Emperor quickly. Left with no real options, those that had followed him prior, changed allegiance to her.

Feeling as he was being pushed away, but by one who didn't have the power to outright thrust him away, he savagely pushed back. No. He was not finished. It was something he craved, to know what had become of him!

Valashu allowed another's thoughts to dwell in his mind. While he was moving from memory to memory however, an uncomfortable feeling reached him. He was no longer in control of when he moved on. This had been something he thought possible, but hadn't imagined he would feel.

He had trusted Zaiden.

Then after in depth showing of the Empire as he knew it, down to showing the Empress - whom he had gone to more then once for assignments. This was an oddity though, because the moment he showed her sitting upon the throne, with the respect and honor shown her, Zaiden again grabbed hold. It felt like he was back inside those memories, reliving their interactions, it was pushed upon him so hard.

It was time then, he began to try pushing Zaiden away. He didn't know what to do, as it was not something he had ever done, so he simply tried to dominate his mind with his own thoughts. However, as soon as he felt he might be getting ahold of it, there was instant shift. No longer did he have control at all.

Thoughts quelled, defenses thrashed, he was now at the will of one that had long ago learned from one of the best telepaths in the universe's history! Dropping to his knees, he couldn't even shout out, as his mind was so forcefully possessed. It was saddening then, as his mind turned to Tenebrae.

It was a darkness he had not expected to find. No, he had not perished. Quite the opposite. The last death he knew of, had not happened either. Tenebrae had not been expelled from his mind! For whatever reason, Rave had not had the chance to defeat him, and in the process bind both spirits.

Without this, Tenebrae had only grown in power. Left to his own powers at the end of the Lords of the Fringe, he began to systematically dominate sector after sector. Everywhere he went was left rubble to what it had been before. From his point of power on Val'hala, all he needed to do during that time to have battle with those that attempted to do so - he then saw that how he would know, was Jensaarai members being placed amongst all real Factions - was calling ships under his control to pack as many Undead as they could into the ships.

It was horrifying to see what he could have become, had he not had the influence of his recent death. Though it was not he, the amount of feeling he felt for seeing these actions, was devastating. He wobbled in place, releasing his hold over Matreya's mind, to stare down at his hands in anguish.

Unlike his sister, or adopted sister, he could never truly embrace the light, despite his attempts. But that did not mean he was the monster he had been like in those memories.

Fighting the dryness that coated his throat and mouth he said, "I am sorry. I felt you were lying, but I was wrong..."

Valashu groaned, finding that he had fallen to all fours. Shaking his head, he ignored the raising headache levels, and pushed himself to his knees. Taking a few swift deep breaths, he finally got to his feet and glared at Zaiden for a long moment. Though he was furious, the sheer look on the other man, it told of how he felt with his finds.

"Well, you see I am not lying. How about we talk now, rather than rape each others intelligence??" He called angrily, though despite himself, felt his fury subsiding, "I am sorry to have withheld the truth about your equal. Its just not... not you. Do you get that? I did not want to reveal something that isn't for you to know.

"Now you have to deal with knowledge that bears you no merit." Val said, "So, I want to make a contract, is that going to be possible??"

"Yes, of course." Zaiden replied, still sullen at the forewarning of what he could become if ever he allowed himself to become truly darkside, "I was only playing hard to get. Of course I will work with you. The Jensaarai need someone that doesn't reveal that they still exist. Clearly, I can see that you are capable of keeping secrets."

With that he reached out a hand, bringing the mistake he had just made, attempting to anyway.
