Born on the dump that is the underworld of Coruscant, Nyx never knew either of her parents. Her earliest years were spent in an orphanage, where she was abused daily, and never received an education. The owners of the orphanage never gave her a name, she picked Nyx from a storybook one of the older children read to her. The abuse she received as a small child shaped her for the rest of her life; she came to care only about herself, looking on as the other children were beaten and starved. When she reached six years of age, she decided she had had enough. She escaped the orphanage, and resigned herself to a life on the streets.
Adolescence
Once she was on the streets, Nyx quickly learned how to survive there. She pick-pocketed money for food, and set up an abandoned metro car as her home. For three years, she lived like this. Then she met Jett. The first person she ever trusted, they came together to form the Street Rats, with three other orphans joining them in the metro car. Together, they barely managed to scrape enough credits and food to survive, living day-to-day, not expecting to make it.
Then the Reds came. The Reds were a rival group of orphans that moved in on the Street Rat's territory, and started trouble with them. It frequently came to violence, and Nyx gained a reputation for throwing a mean punch.
But one day, the leader of the Reds challenged the Street Rats to an all-out fight, and the small gang had no choice but to accept. The two gangs met in an alleyway, and threw down.
During the violence, one of the Street Rats was killed by the Red leader, and Nyx flew into an all-out rage. She severely beat the Red leader, and drowned him in a puddle of water.
With their leader dead, the Reds agreed to absorb into the Street Rats, and at age twelve, Nyx became a gang leader and a killer.
Teenage Years
As a teenager, Nyx gained a reputation as a damn good fighter. She frequently entered child-fighting tournaments to gain money and rep for the Street Rats, and became an adept pugilist. Her gang started to gain more influence, and Nyx began getting offers from larger gangs for jobs. She almost always accepted, and the Street Rats began taking casualties from these jobs. As she watch her closest friends die, Nyx began to no longer care about the people around her, and only care about getting paid. She killed a lot of people, and gained intimate knowledge on how to use a blaster and a blade. She also gained a reputation for having a lot of 'relationships', ones that didn't last long and frequently at the same time.
Adulthood
When Nyx reached adulthood, she grew tired of the gang life. She left her second in charge, and began to travel the galaxy as a mercenary. During this journey, she began doing work for the Hutt Cartel, with which she still maintains close ties with. Also during her travels, she discovered that she was Force Sensitive, though she did little about it at first.
But her life changed when she met the woman known as Circe. The sorceress took pity on Nyx, and offered to adopt her into the Kuhn family, and even gave her a new name: Anixya, though she still prefers Nyx. Glad to be a part of a family, she began her work once more, with new enthusiam.
Then came the Tattooine job. It was simple, escort some Jawas to their sandcrawler and collect payment. Simple, quick, and easy. But she came under ambush by Sand People, and though she killed them, she was severely wounded, and was left bleeding on the sands, unconscious.
When she awoke, she was in a cave being treated by an old Miraluka woman who introduced herself as Darth Mordred. The woman offered to be Nyx's Master, and the girl agreed. Thus began a series of events that ended with Nyx losing half of her face in a battle with a krayt dragon, though she gained the dragon's pearl.
From there, she was tortured and brainwashed daily to 'unlock her full potential'. Nyx grew to harbor intense hatred and fear for Mordred, and began seeking lessons elsewhere, planning to betray her Master, while still doing mercenary work for any who paid. However, unknown to her, Darth Mordred used her abilities in mentalism to implant herself in Nyx's mind, planning to slowly take over Nyx's body and mind for herself.
Throughout her life, Nyx believed herself to be completely and utterly alone; but as it turned out, that wasn't quite true. While traveling on a job, Nyx ran into someone she didn't know existed: her twin sister, Nox. As it turned out, her sister was an assassin for the Sith tasked with killing her, and the two battled. During the fight, Nyx saw the monster her sister had become, the monster the Sith had turned her into. And in that moment, Nyx swore to destroy the Sith, to avenge her sister, who she believed was beyond saving. Unfortunately, Nox managed to severely wound Nyx, and escaped.
Distraught with grief over the metaphorical death of her sister, Nyx threw herself into her work, and into her Dark power. She was contacted by an anonymous party that contracted her to do something truly impossible; kill the Sith Lord Mythos. No longer having the will for self preservation, Nyx accepted the job, and tracked down the Sith and confronted him. Mythos defeated her, and enslaved her, taking her to Atrisia, where he tortured her, trying to break her spirit. However, she maintained her rebellious nature, and frequently attempted to escape.
But escape she did.
After the experience with Mythos, Nyx's hate for the Sith only increased. She returned to Coruscant, where she began organizing her Street Rats into an army. She was going to fight the Sith on their own planet; but to do that, she needed weapons.
So she contacted Justice Shipping, and it's owner, James Justice, to obtain those weapons. They met, and a new chapter in Nyx's life began.
She began to spend time with James, who accomplished something no one had managed to:
He made her care about him.
Finally, after several joint missions together, they went out on a date on Narr Shaddaa, where they connected, and both promised to help each other.
Afterwards, Nyx decided there was only one way she could truly help him: she needed to become stronger.
Leaving everything behind, Nyx sent herself into a self-imposed exile, traveling the fringes of space and cutting herself off from anyone that could know her, in order to devote herself to becoming more powerful, to protect both herself and the ones she cared about.
