Exploring Yavin

Elayne pulled out a rather old book, made on a Dathomir if one was observant. She copied a couple spells onto some parchement and smiled handing the sheets of paper to Morgana, it was clear that Elayne was old fashion. Where others used datapads, she used ink and paper. It was certainly something more real about it then. Elayne pulled out some leather and other supplies binding them together, making a little book out of the spells that interested Morgana. "Here, use this while we are training, it should have every spell you seemed interested in. Please let me know if you have any problems pronouncing them, I know it is in pancean." She smiled and handed a recording device with her saying the words. Well you are set for a while but I am here to watch and guide you while you practice."

Morgana was curious as she watched [member="Elayne Hawk"] write everything down. She kept glancing back and forth between the book and how much was being written down. A lot it seemed. And it was true Morgana had already told of which spells she was more interested in than others. Some she wondered if she was ready for while others she figured would be easy. All she knew would be useful at the very least. Once the datapad and parchment were given she overlooked both of them, hearing Elayne tell of how to use it while training. She nodded to herself while looking them over, thinking she could get most of the pronunciations right, she looked back to her with a more confident smile.
"So now what? Do I just...try them? And what about Dathomir? Is there something I need to know about it before we visit?"

"Well, its different, Men our our slaves, Though my family treats them as more than that, my father being a treasured member of our family. It is a rule that any free man has the risk of having a member of our clan or another claiming them on Dathomir Soil. You will be my guest to my clan so it should be fine, considering your a woman you won't have any problems. Maybe we can even get you an membership in our clan should you want it. But mainly I want to take you to the basics. We are a simple people so once we leave the ship, no electronics. We will work on your nature skills, as if you expect for some of those spells to work very well you will need to deepen your connection to the spirits and nature. After all it is the spirits that help us cast our spells though it seems to often mean that one is blessed to use what you call the force. " Elayne said hoping she wasn't talking to much. " I can highlight on any areas i might of not been clear on. "

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

As [member="Elayne Hawk"] went on about it Morgana nodded. While the fact men were slaves was an odd, and somewhat uncomfortable, fact at least she knew that as a woman and her guest she would be alright. No electronics was something she figured would happen, given how isolated the people of Dathomir were. Talk of spirits made her think more of the force ghosts or the like, but whatever these spirits were they might have been something else altogether. In the end in made a little more sense about Dathomir itself, Morgana shaking her head as an indication she understood everything Hawk had told her.

"I am sorry.. I am sure our religion of the spirits providing our magic, is just something I thought you should know and is confusing but don't worry about it too much. A rancor heard lives with us, so I hope they don't startle you, they are our friends and family and as such please refrain from trying to hurt them or thinking they are just wild beasts. They are quite intelligent and will most likely be curious about you so don't be afraid. I am sure you will love it, and we can explore and camp out in the plains and get you your own set of clothing... I am sure you will find that it is much more freeing and comfortable than what most wear around here. " It was clear that Elayne hated modern clothes. She smiled and paused. " So when can you go, I am rather excited I must say at the prospect of taking you to my home and sharing it with you. I have a good feeling about you. "

With the prospect of going Morgana said. "I can go with you now. I just need to let someone know." She looked around before seeing one of the staff of the temple on Yavin. She hurried over, only telling him to let anyone asking know where she's gone, before coming back to [member="Elayne Hawk"] . "I will need to commute once or twice from Dathoir back here or to Ossus. But I can assure you I'll be there when you need me. Best we go now so we can get better settled in and all."

"Well then lets go I suppose" She said a little surprised at the suddeness. The ship which was a silver jedi ship waited for them. It was in fact where Elayne had instructed Morgana to meet her. Elayne had gathered her things and was waiting onboard the ship hoping that the droid could keep flying it cause well she didn't know how to. Elayne was rather technological challenged. She smiled though waiting for her student. This was going to be so much fun. She stretched and laid on the couch like seating and waited for [member="Morgana Forceborn"].

Morgana didn't need much, not that she had much anyways. Just the cloths on her back and her saberstaff. After that she met with [member="Elayne Hawk"] on her ship, followed her on board, and practically jumped into the awaiting seat. She acted as though it was vacation time but knew how serious her training would be once they arrived on Dathomir. Not that it mattered too much. She was just excited to be going anyways.

Elayne giggled at the excited Morgana. It was a uneventful flight They seemed to land in the middle of nowhere. It was the plains of Dathomir and Singing Mountain Clan territory. The ship planted down and Elayne was the first off, she praticly bolted off the ship. If Morgana thought she was excited then she would be surprised as Elayne laid down on the ground. She giggled and looked up at the familiar sky and just laid there on the ground. Soon some witches were there, but she waved them off and once they saw it was her they were happy too. She giggled and felt the rumbling of her rancor who picked her up soon after.
Elayne giggled as she was handled by the large rancor that was her friend and almost sister. She giggled and climbed on top of her rancor hugging her. "Morgonna meet Luta, my basicly sister really I grew up with her. We bonded which makes sense since her mother is my Mother's bondmate. " Elayne was already in communication with her mother and father and glad that over all this visit was off to a good start. "Well hop up here with me." She said leaning down and extending her hand to let Morgonna on Luta with her. " It was probably terrifying for the girl but Elayne viewed it as totally normal.

Morgana had followed [member="Elayne Hawk"] all the way out of the ship, taking a moment to let the entire feel of the planet sink in. She was surprised by how natural the force seemed to be on this planet as compared to some of the others. Dark in some places, yes, but more tranquil and with the light side in others. Especially given where Hawk was taking her. Though she stopped when she heard the footsteps of something approaching. She was shocked, of course, by the sight of the Rancor, but then was even more shocked by how Elayne handled it. It took her a moment to relax, especially after she said her name was Yuta, for her to remember her saying about having a pet rancor. This made Morgana all the more eager to perhaps, one day, obtain a unique pet of her own though the power of force and magic. After Elayne told her so she stepped onto the monstrous claw of Yuta before being picked up and placed on her back along with her "sister."
Morgana's only response was a deep "Wow."

"Well what do you think so far?" She asked as she smiled riding her lovely rancor. After all Elayne and Luta were both daughters of the leaders of their equivalent clans. Her 'pet' wasn't acquired through any force and magic. They approached one of the largest villages on the planet, the village of none other than the Singing Mountain Clan. She was sad to hear her mother was out. She hugged her father who was there to greet her and then she took Morgana to a hut which was obviously just barely maintained. She would have to thank her father for that. "Well here is my place, there should be enough room for both of us as long as you don't mind the close quarters. She sent a message to her father with but a thought and suddenly he was there with some furs and cloth for Morgana's bedding. "Thanks" She said as he left and tossed the pile of furs and cloths to Morgana. It would soon be obvious that women were in power here. Men servants or slaves to the females that claimed them. While the Hawks were friendlier to their males, like her father who she loved dearly. Not all other witches were as kind though. She didn't pay any attention to it though as it was normal to her. "Well most here know basic but we prefer pacean so if you need any help run to me. I have some business so explore on your own please, though do be careful of the Rancor Herd. "

[member="Morgana Forceborn"]

The ride on the back of a rancor was a grand experience for Morgana. And to think all those horrible stories she heard about them. At least the tame ones were nice enough, when tamed by the right people that is. Upon arriving in the village it became all the more clear about how Dathomir worked, as [member="Elayne Hawk"] described it. At least Morgana was lucky enough to be a girl, meaning she at least had some standing with the others. When they arrived and she was shown where she would be allowed to stay Morgana thanked her before she headed off. Rather than wind up making a mistake or the like Morgana simply entered the hut and would situate herself before Hawk returned.
