Eye of the Storm

Princess. She was still Princess. A Princess. The Princess. His Princess. It didn't matter where she was, who she pretended to be, the word Princess would always be hovering over her.

"Home? Are you asking me to come and live on Immeria again?"

She raised an eyebrow with a smile. She liked her freedom, but she was severely missing the comfort of home. So familiar. And Hondo and Nisal would have room to roam again. And her and Owain would have proper space to get away from each other for a while if they had to. Living here, if they had an argument, they were stuck living with only a single room to separate them.

And then there was the library. She wanted Zelda to grow up someplace comfortable and safe... and with a lot of read. She could talk to Owain about it. Much as she loved this freedom, she had to admit, home really was safer for the baby.

"Offering," Keter corrected quickly. He did not ask. Feena would never let him live it down. He was Keter Mason - her father. He was a rock, a pillar of strength and identity. Or so he liked to think. Someone she could rely on to help her, even when the whole galaxy turned on her.

Plus, it would be nice to have Felicity at home again. Safe. Reminding herself of good times throughout the rough times ahead. Raising a baby was stressful. She was going to need all the chances to relax she could get. Riding hondo outside would be a good form of relief for the girl.

Oh wait, she had also picked up that nexu...erm...he'd deal with that problem once he got home form whatever Zandra had him do. Until then it was Elliot's problem.

"I'll speak with Owain," she replied biting her lip, "Who am I kidding? That boy will do whatever I tell him to do."

Not completely true, but close enough. In this, of course, she did not think he would argue much with her. He'd recommended they go back home too. And if something happened and they needed to disappear again, well, this place was still available as long as her brother still owned it.

"If we go back home, that means you'll get to see your grandchildren when ever you want."

Grandchildren. He was too young to have grandchildren. No, wait, CHILDREN?! PLURAL?! If he could, Keter would have narrowed his eyes at his daughter. Instead, he twitched before forcing a smile onto his face. "That would be...nice," he replied lamely.

She couldn't help but giggle at that look on his face. Better get him used to the idea now. Who knew when she'd be ready for children- well, more children, anyway. Not for a good few years, sure, but sooner than her father would probably like. And Owain did express an interest in having kids of his own. So, why not? She was doing well with one so far. How hard could two be?

"I'm glad you think so, Daddy. So, will you be staying for breakfast?" she asked, glancing out the window at the rising sun, "Or do you have to go see your pirate friend?"

"Urgh...." Keter groaned. "I'd better go and get this job over with. Seems I'm going to have to redecorate Dis soon," the blond muttered. "Stay safe, and get yourself home, gottit?" he said, staring down at his daughter with a faint smirk.

The young woman smiled back, stood up and went to give her father one more hug.

"When you get home, maybe we'll already be there waiting," she replied, "And then you can give Owain a stern talkin' to yourself."

She snickered, nearly waking the baby as she let go.

Keter grinned at that and hugged his little girl back. "I'll be looking forward to it," he promised her, before heading for the door. "Take care."
