Eye to Eye... oh wait...

This was something more reminiscent of her element, a fight she wasn't going uphill the entire time. She had the speed going on, and her gear had a 'low sensor profile', which would make her job even easier. She just had to keep at a solid range... Though it could get hard if he had plenty of droids to throw at her. Worst to worst, she could change objective and head to a communications station. She knew full well where the nearest one was after all. For now though...

She made a bit of a leap, using her hook that was still off her utility belt to make the gap. Several hundred meters, that would make it perfect for this. She clipped her blaster rifle to her back and took out the X-52, settling down on the ground and unfolding the bipod. She could get one, maybe two shots if the droids were stupid. She got the weapon ready, and the moment the first droid came around the corner she released a powerful bolt directly at it, somewhere between the chest and head. The recoil stunned her shoulder, which hurt, but she gave it a second to calm down. Then she fired a second bolt, before getting up off the ground. She had to run now..

And remember to practice shooting this thing later.

<Ammo count: 11 shots in T-600C, 7 shots in X-52, 34 shots in T-998C>

"Squirrel located, iniating capture." The droid would say as the bullet flew towards it denting its armor, it wouldn't survive another shot. In the air above the ground, but below the trees, roughly 25 mandalorians wearing armor were using jetpacks to chase Caeleg, "Attention fugitive, come in now and you will not be harmed. If you continue to run you wil be apprehended using extreme prejudice." Just then more Mandalorians came out of the bushes, the total was around 90, "We have you outnumbered, we have snipers in the the trees. And we are all heavily armed." If Caelag looked around, she would see about 10 men in the trees 40 men on the ground with miniguns and 50 in the air with ssault rifles. And, if that wasn't enough, the 8 droids entered the clearing as well. The droids blasted a hole in the canopy,through which 4 Echoy'la class starfighters and a A/Y 92 Aquila were plainly visible, and all had their weapons trained on her. "There is no escape." The men in the ground had her in a tight circle, and the snipers and jetpackers would make running very difficult, if not immposible.

"You have a very skewed interpretation of what a 'mock battle' is!" She hollered at her pursuers, clicking her weapons into a secure place. She had no escape huh? One vs what, ninety of them, plus droids and starfighters. This was a borderline act of war, to the best of her knowledge. That would teach her to trust a backstabbing Mando again. She checked her wrist, where she kept her com link from the helmet she rarely wore. Just a tiny signal... hmm... "Of course if you give up this charade now and fight like a real mandalorian, with honour and skill, I might not have to declare a personal war on you. Unless you lack any semblance of such concepts, in which case I have to question your right to your armour in turn." She was slowly backing across the platform, to the bridge behind her. It was a few... thousand she thought, meters or so to the actual forest floor. This could hurt, a lot, if it backfired.

She didn't put away her weapons of course, that would be foolish. She had more honour than these losers for certain, she just.. just had to figure out a solution. Hopefully goading him would work, if not, well she had a signal...

"Well then you're brave, and my apologies for the troops I needed to test them as this would be their first mission. As they are up to scratch, I can either come down to you or you can visit my waystation. Your choice. Oh yeah Mythosaur Squadron, stand down." Katbiyre said over the intercom. And with his words, the droids deactivated their weapons and 90 of the men left. Only ten were left, "If you want to visit the waystation, then come with us. Otherwise just head that way." One of them says.

She grunted a little bit and slung her rifle back up over her shoulder, and rolled her head to stretch out her neck. Good thing this guy wasn't going to keep sending these troops at her, much longer and she'd have gotten hurt badly. "Down here is fine enough. I'd rather not go to the station of a guy who tried to blow me up." Simple, understandable words, before heading off in the direction indicated by the man. She unsheathed her knife again and drew her blaster pistol, giving the weapon a quick twirl as she came to a stop where [member="Katbirye Rekr"] was supposed to be.

"You did a good job, I'll give you that." Katbiyre said as Caelag showed up. <I wonder how many more the Republic has like her...> He thought. "You want to do a little more one on one?"

[member="Caelag Vass"]

Caelag rolled her neck and nodded, putting her hands into position with the pistol and knife. "We were rather rudely interrupted, and I've still got some fight left in me. Besides, gotta learn to fight someone with the force, never know when I'll be up against that kind of fighter." Truthfully, she had to admit to herself, she was terrified of the sith and the force. She'd seen them rip apart so many soldiers, she wanted to know how to fight them. And this mando didn't seem particularly dangerous as far as overall power, he was certainly no master. If she could hold her own here she might stand a chance.

"Do not underesimate your opponent , ecspecially in the Melee. If you do, you will die." Katbiyre said as he reignited his saber and lunged at Caelag, "If you do not posses strength, use your brain and outsmart your opponent." He slashed at her once more, "And do not comppare me to Sith lords or Jedi knights, because I am efinently not as good as them, yet."

[member="Abraxis"] <Huh, I genuinely thought I had replied ages ago.>

Caelag shook her head, ducking under the lightsaber rather than trying to block it in the least. She had no idea if it was set, or able to be set, to a training setting, and she couldn't quite get physically in a good place to grab his wrist. Even so, his lunge put her in a good spot, as the knife fighter was now much closer and even within combat range. Waiting for an opportunity, she stepped in and made an attempt to get a strike in. She swiped with the knife, from right to left, and attempted to fire a blast from her pistol into his stomach. It wouldn't kill him if it worked, of course, as she had grabbed training weapons along with her real sniper rifle earlier.

The knife strike caused him stumble back a few paces, though this caused the blaster shot aimed at his stomach to miss, rather it hit his foot. He grunted at the sight sting which had jolted his pain receptors. He back flipped towards the edge of the platform, deactivated his saber and took out his Razor Disc's. "No more playing around then?" He ran towards her vaulted over her head, and sliced at Caelag's back, the blades had been removed as these were his training ones but if they hit they would numb the area. Unfortunately, the shot to the foot had affected him more than he thought and he stumbled on his landing, causing him to fall, after he sliced down.

Caelag spun around as he vaulted over, raising her arms in such that the back of her forearms, where there was slightly thicker armour, got hit first. Taking the brunt of the blow they stung, going a bit numb as she stumbled back, panting a little bit. Running earlier, fighting, it was tireing her out. Normally she was on stealth operations, without any kind of strenuous activity going on. Even so, she could keep going for some time, if he didn't get a good hit in. "Well, I don't know about you, but I still have a few toys left." She panted a bit and leveled the blaster pistol, emptying the remaining shots in the clip (10) in a wide spread pattern, making the clip auto eject. Almost every shot, of course, would miss, but it might force him to stay back so she could reload and fight with a full clip instead.

Speaking of which, she reached into her pocket and pulled a second clip, locking it into place as she watched carefully.

Abraxis's used his saber to deflect the shots that came near him around the canopy, grinning he leaped forward and sliced down at Caelag. Adrenaline rushing through him he sliced again to either side. Before stepping back to try and dodge her next attacks. It had been ages since he had had fun like this.
