Faction Name Change?

It was brought up to the faction admins that perhaps we should ponder if we should potentially change our name from the One Sith into something else.

So I will post up a poll and see what people think!


If yes, what name would you recommend? Please post a written reply to answer that question.

I like the name we have now. However by the way that it was once used in Canon, there were a very small amount of Sith at the time who were very conniving and manipulative. Willing to play by the rules of life and twist them for their own gain, as well as break many more. However, I feel that right now, we should not change our name. We are still growing strong as we are under the name, "The One Sith" and so I wish to keep it.

Later on? Yes a name change may be in order so we can get more NFUs around here. (I count a total of like three active ones) We need more.

Honestly, we should just be the Sith Empire again.

This is the largest Dark Side faction by far, and the one that closest resembles the flavor of the Sith Empire. When the original SE fragmented, the gameplan was to see which splinter groups stuck around and which did not - in other words, to organically determine the SE's true successor state. That was a long time ago, and I believe we have that answer now.

Seriously. As the Sith Empire, everybody wins. The Sith get "muh Dark Side" and the NFUs get "muh Empire".

To those who say it will somehow negate this faction's forward momentum, I couldn't disagree more. Could you imagine the splash it would make if this faction pulled together to do a quick, brutal and bombastic conquest of a planet, whether through a Dominion or whatever, and then topped it off with the galaxy-wide announcement: "guess what, motherkarkers? The Sith Empire is officially back, bitches." What a bombshell.

Later on? Yes a name change may be in order so we can get more NFUs around here. (I count a total of like three active ones) We need more.

Why not just do it now? Really, if we recognize that making the faction's aesthetic a little more classically Empire-friendly will attract more NFU's, then what is the sense in delaying things? Want to see more Stormtroopers, Imperial Officers, Moffs, Agents, Generals, Admirals, etc.? Then make your faction reflect their presence.

I agree not to mention I think we need a little rebranding. As it is we are hated by almost everyone, maybe a new name could help gain us some allies

We don't need allies. Do you see us kicking butt? We have attacked just about all the Major Lightsided factions and won.

As well, I am kind of a Jerk and will just tell them to take their lightsabers and shove it somewhere where it hurts.

Businesses won't sell to us no matter what name we use. We will permanently be known and seen as the Sith, there is no changing that.

We do a Dominion / Invasion / Big Faction thing and say we're the Sith Empire after wrecking face as the One Sith? Not much sense to do that.

The successor of the Sith Empire? Yeah, we clearly are, but why change our name because we've been the most successful Dark Side faction?

A Faction name doesn't really DECIDE what's going to be in it tbh.

I mean, the One Sith had Moffs, Generals / Admirals in it. No need to make it the Sith Empire.

There's literally no reason to name change. Like, not one that makes sense anyway, ICly or OOCly.

The fact of the matter is that there is quite a bit of investment in the One Sith name. I think it really works because, despite all the various characters we have, we move towards the same purpose: One Purpose, One Sith.

Non-force users, Force-users, soldiers, ciphers, commandos, orangutans...etc etc. It really does work.
