Faction Owner Nominations

Hello Faction!
Just checking the calendar, and we've been going strong since we've started, thats four months! A great four months, looking back on it. A new faction, new kids on the block, who have become a force to be reckoned with! We've been giving the OS and the FO hell and epic stories since we've started. We've been telling compelling stories, and havng a ball. And I want to thank each and every one of you who have joined up on this with us.

But, we've been coming on for four months now. Its time for someone else to take the reigns.

I'd like to open up nominations for Faction Owner. Our vote will take place after the OS/GA Invasion at Lujo, with the new FO/FA Team taking over after the invasion.

What I would look for in an FO is someone who allows the GA to be exactly what it is. Drama free, loose, and crowd sourced. Our story is a bottom up piece, not a top down direction.

So, start thinking about this, and we'll have elections following the invasion, so we're not putting too much stress on. I just have a moment to put this up following homework, and getting busy with classes.

Corey already knows how I feel about his news, so I won't go into it here, but if this is the right place for it, I would like to nominate [member="Jacen Voidstalker"] for new overlord Faction Owner. Why?

Jacen's done an amazing job so far as one of our Faction Admins, has been part of the GA from day one, has contributed heavily to the faction's history, activity, and lore, and that ^^ is exactly how I feel Jacen will run the GA.

So, might be slightly egotistical to do this, but I think I'd be up for the job.

While I've only be back for about a month and a half, I've already started several threads on my own, joined several others, and even hopped into Lujo as an ally for the GA. Activity is going up and I've got more ideas on the backburner.

Qualification-wise, I was part of the leadership team for OP for almost eight months before I took over as Lord Protector, a position I held for an entire year. In that time, I openly communicated with other factions with regards to storylines and invasions, working to make things as fun and drama-free for everyone.

Edit: At the same time, I would happily second [member="Jacen Voidstalker"] as FO. Dude's a great guy.

Thank you for the (almost) nomination, but as you suspected, I'd turn it down.

Also just a teensy clarification, I'm not on LOA anymore, and my move is all done now, so that wouldn't be the reason. I've just decided to take a break from FA stuff, so that I can focus on my writing. Due to time constraints, it's kind of one or the other for me right now.

That would be up to the new FO that is picked after these nominations were finished, correct? But he's not a terrible suggestion for FA. Even if he did leave me hanging on Lothal

Honestly? I don't know Jacen terribly well OOCly, so I can't comment on his qualifications there in that arena. However, people I trust and value the opinion of vouch for him. So that gets a conditional approval from me. But ICly, and what i've seen OOC, he has been doing a stupendous job, and busting ass. For everyone, really. That puts a huge plus in my book. It's enough for me to throw my hat in behind him. And you lot should know by now how picky and exacting I am with people leading things. I think he'll do good. And I think Factions have done a lot worse.

And so long as we are pointing out people who would make good FA's? [member="Ayden Cater"] hasn't been here long enough to, in my mind, run the show yet. Even if I do quite like the man. But you'd be hard pressed to find someone better to have serving as an advisory Admin and helping you run the show than him. The fact he's stepping up and offering, and has done what he can, shows to me that if these nominations were in a few weeks to maybe months more? I might be more torn between the two. Hell, I might still even sooner, depending on how Lujo goes.

Both the current accepted nominations are SOLID choices really, with the determining factor being length of time with the Faction. And that is a very slim one, honestly. Either picked from the two would be grand. Part of me almost wants to see an Admin team for the Faction that is entirely new from the ground up, but it also feels arbitrary to just discount someone who is qualified for that reason alone. So far as I know, [member="Jacen Voidstalker"] doesn't have any bodies in his trunk or such

Much as I admire [member="Chevu Visz"] and the work she has done here, I am of the mind that she should probably let life settle still, and focus on writing to keep her sane. A move and everything else can create little ripples of Chaos(see what I did there?) for months in a life, and I don't want her to have to neglect other responsibilities to mind our crazy asses here. Or vice versa. And I applaud her for having the commitment to herself to turn down the offer.

EDIT: I should say, no hate to Jacen, that I am sure we have other members qualified. I just don't want to nominate them in case they aren't up for it. So, since you apparently can't self-nominate (which is a bit silly). If you think you'd do a good job? Find me. I'll listen to ya. And if you make good points, you'll get nominated. Even if I don't like ya or disagree. That way everyone who wants a shot gets it.

I'd like to nominate [member="Faith Balor-Organa"], even though we're opponents in the current SC election. She's a dedicated and active member of the faction, and is always quick to post, send a PM, and help drive our various plotlines.
