Private Fall & Reform

Tag: Shai Maji Shai Maji It had been weird getting measurements for armour again after so long of wearing his older beskar'gam.

While it didn't show too clearly on the old Mandalorian's face, he was extremely proud of Shai and what she had been able to create. Her own smith business. Looking around the room where the forge was located, reminded him so much of the forge back when their home wasn't placed in ruins.

Placing the armour where she gestured and gave the girl a hug as another thanks for going through with reforging his armour. It meant a lot to him. Nodding, still feeling quite tired, not just in body, but in mind too as he was really starting to feel the fatigue of how his mental state had been in for so long.

With a small nod, Kragr trotted to her office, closed the door and was knocked out the moment his head hit the pillow. With half a year of grief, heavy tihaar drinking and shattered soul, it was a wonder the man hadn't killed himself by now. When she entered her office, she actually had to shake Kragr to wake him up.

Wiping away some sleep from his eyes, a smile spread, showing a more well-rested man, one that looked more and more like his old self. Following his daughter, Kragr stopped in front of the newly reforged armour. For maybe a minute he stood and just looked over the craftmanship of his armour's new look. "Thank you" he thanked her, before finally equip it all.

having beskar'gam on again felt fantastic, it felt invigorating and most of all, he felt alive again. With a wide grin and new light in his eyes, he held the helmet in his hand and placed it back over his head. Looking over the armour while wearing it, he did some small tests. First, he activated the jetpack, keeping him afloat for a bit, just to see if he had forgotten how to be a Mandalorian. Fortunately for him, after a bit of balancing in the air, he automatically adjusted himself to using a jetpack again.

Landing again and removing the helmet, he clipped it to his belt and turned to Shai with such a joyous grin and just wrapped his arms around her in a bear hug. Kragr just laughed like never before.

Despite being fatigued and desperately wanting to crawl into her bed, she stood by his side and grinned as he thanked her and donned his new armour. It looked bland compared to the old look, but she knew that he would quickly get the paint organized.

Her smile merely grew as he ignited the jetpack and hovered around a bit, even letting out a cheer of success as she threw her arms into the air. He touched down and brought her into a tight hug which she didn't hesitate to return. With a laugh of her own she held onto him, not wanting to break the hug anytime soon. "It's good to have you back, dad." she muttered when she finally let go of him.

"There's a testing ground out the back if you wanna test the rest of the stuff. I'll show you where it is." she commented as she looked over his armour. "And as for me... I'm gonna go sleep for the rest of the day. I haven't had to forge without my suit's temp control in a long time." she admitted with a chuckle as she rubbed at a spot of singed fur on her arm.

She led him out to the testing ground and turned to leave. But before she went, she glanced over to him one last time. "Hey dad?" she spoke up as a smile formed.

"I missed you."

The older Mandalorian ruffled her large mane, "that it is Twig" grinned Kragr, finally showing much of his own self again. Looking in the direction Shai pointed, he nodded and followed the girl. Standing out by the testing ground he watched her leave again to get some sleep, which he didn't blame her for wanting.

"Hm?" Asked Kragr while focusing on his blasters for the first time in half a year now. A smirk formed as he looked back at Shai with reloaded blasters, "I've missed you too" expressed the fiery red-haired Mandalorian and turned back to the testing ground and just loaded laser after laser bolts into targets, filling the area with deafening blaster fire.

Kragr spent most of the day at the testing ground and left it looking like a warzone. One could almost think someone had tried to terraform the testing area into smaller craters. Once he left, he did leave a small sum of creds that would cover any damages. Hey, just because he'd been gone for half a year, didn't mean he was poor in any way shape or form.

The day after, he left Mandalore with the remaining of his men, feeling a sense of renewal energy flowing through him. Standing in the cockpit of his largest freighter ship, he held a small holopad with a holographic picture of Shai and himself side by side in Beskar'gam, cheering with the clan now gone. That photo was the last thing he had of his clan and was something he would keep till the end of days.

"Where to Kragr?" Asked one of the men that piloted the heavy freighter. "Surprise me" commented Kragr with a smile as the blue and white light started to stretch around them and then finally launching them into hyperspace.
