A Simpler Life
When the door behind the couple closed, Kaalia put her hands together like a bowl and let a tiny flame appear from it to warm her hands a little. "I'll go make sure the couch is comfortable, then," she replied jokingly as she let the flame go out, although once unburdened of her shoes and coat she did directly make her way there. She crashed down onto the couch with a few blankets she had taken with her to make it a little more cozy. With the soft and glowing warmth of the fireplace, the conclusion was quickly drawn- the couch was still most definitely comfortable. There was one thing still missing, but before she was able to figure out what it was exactly the question answered itself. Ishana had made her way back downstairs and filled in that missing part as she sat down next to Kaalia.
The redhead looked down to see where Ishana's hands went, causing her to smile a bit. "I love you too, miella. More than any words could express." Once more she realized they weren't just with two any longer. Although they weren't truly here yet, she could feel the two little auras of the two who were set to join them properly soon. A content sigh escaped her lips, if only the younger Kaalia could see her now. "I don't know what I'd do without you anymore."
As time passed by Kaalia slowly became a bit drowsy, the comforting embrace of her wife and the warmth of the fire causing her to slowly begin drifting off. She nuzzled up to Ishana a bit more and closed her eyes. "I was thinking," she said with a slightly cracky voice, "we haven't decided on their names yet, or even really talked about it."
