Family: Ties to the Vessia

[member="Minerva Vessia"] [member="Petra Cavataio"]

Ahhhh Bundori was there and she could feel the hand on her head as she snuggled in closer and closed her eyes. THis was nice... the warmth, the feeling of contact. It was like a safety blanket to her mind. She enjoyed just closeness and nothing really had to come from it before when she spoke. "Well when Minerva likes to experiment with me. All of the spells she wants to try or learn she needs to see if they will work and...." She trailed off as it wasn't soemthing she was embarrassed about it was more she was careful about a few things. "Eventually I started to look like this instead of all her sister." She smiled though seeing her sister with a small protrusion of her lips and stuck out her tongue.

Well there was no question Minerva was talented. The question no one asked yet is why not Minerva had changed Bundori back.

“That is a bit of an exaggeration”, the wickedness could be seen dancing across Minerva’s pink pastel lips. “There was plenty of spells I never tried on you. For an example a Rhandite Death Beam would have never changed your hair color or made your skin pale.”

Minerva stopped herself short there of saying anything what she just thought. She was playful with Bundori but did not try to be mean.

Not to mention Minerva was thinking. Thinking about what she should say about this move from Dathomir. She was unsure how she felt about it.

This was too funny to Petra. Hearing that one used the other with experiments, it made her day. They were clearly Cavataio by blood. It was hard to find one that did use another as a test subject of sorts. Chuckling, she threw her two credits in. “Sweeties, this is too good. This all so normal in the family… I have experimented on myself and all the way to great-great-grandchildren. It is like you guys read up on the family and saw how to be Cavataio.”

Petra had another laugh. It was all so amusing to her.

Bundori looked at her sister as she stood up and then there was praise from Petra about them and their actions. She felt herself smiling... felt herself all giddy as it were when she moved over to her sister and was taking her hands quickly. "Oh did you hear that.. we were already awesome before we even knew anything about the family.,,,,,, and hmmm maybe I'll have to try some of the spells I learned on you." SHe said it and the tattoo she had gotten from the bok she had been asked to touch to test for Minerva was under the outfit. She thought about it and her shoulder and some of her arm/chest was marked with the magics. "Still a death beam could have come in handy when those bucket heads were shooting at us."

Wait, what”, her nose half crinkled, eye brows twisting in a confused horrified expression. It was a little comical, he expression that is. Normally this was the time was being told not to pick on her sister. She was being praised now, as if she did something good?

I, ErrWell, I was just being me”, stumbling there a little on her words she choked out a response.

Minerva did not read up on anything it was ok to pick on your sister and make her look adopted.

That right, Bundori asked a question too.

“Well I will remember that next time Bundori. Next time I will not teleport you to safety. I will let them kill you as a distraction and then hit them with a Death Beam”, Bundori start it this time with snarky comments. Minerva was just being a good sister and dishing it right back.

[member="Bundori Vessia"] [member="Petra Cavataio"]

Bundori was a hoot. Petra got a lot amusement from the girl. The energy from the girl reminded her of some that used to run through the home back in the day. That memory floating of her children being happy and so energic made her wish it was that time all over again. However, she did not show the sadness on her face. She kept on smiling.

“Well I wouldn’t worry Bundori about death… those that are mine, they often returned by my hand. Another experiment that I did on my children and that’s why you met Lauda, Minerva… Also, you two wouldn’t be here. Ava the source of your blood line was experiment with the force on my body. All of this is why you’ll hear many call me Goddess, children. Life and death are in my finger tips and I play with them without a care.” Petra said with a little care but more it was words that she tossed away like chit chat.

[member="Bundori Vessia"]

Bundori looked at her sister and stuck her tongue out as her as Petra was speaking about them and she was starting to feel like she was larger then life. TOngue going back into her mouth though while she stood there next to Minerva and nodded her head. "Well then we'll help you anyway that we can." She said it and was taking Minerva's hand when she gave a nod. "Minerva is in as well.... she'll death beam the whole lot of them to protect you.... mommies would end us... or lock us away in our rooms without ice cream if we let anything happen to you.... maybe or she'd be told something by Dolly.. something mean." Bundori looked at her sister when she moved over and kissed her cheek. "And thank you for that, I know teleporting and the magics take more out of you but doesn't mean I don't love it when my sister does things for me."

A sudden realization suddenly crept over Minerva’s thoughts while listening to Petra. Maybe it was evident upon her lovely face, or not. In ways she was a very clever girl when it came to arcane knowledge. Just on the little information she had, her thought was just a theory. It had nothing to do with the hierarchy of the family but had to do with everything about the Force and Magic.

Minerva half noticed Bundori’s tongue waggling and gave little response to it. Then when Bundori spoke tying to claim what Minerva may or may not do. Minerva began to feel the flow of heat rising within in her. It was not that Bundori was trying to claim what Minerva would do. Ok that was part of it. It was because how lonely she felt at that moment even though she was right next to her kin. Minerva had layers. A complicated soul and it just became even more complicated after she just heard what Grand Mother Petra had said. Bundori was a little naive when it came to magic. Minerva understood this and was not mad at her sister for not understand. So she did not pull her hand away from her sister, nor reject Bunodri’s need of contact.

“Bundori I just can’t go Death Beaming people”, Minerva was going to try to explain this to Bundori. “There are many paths to use the Force. Each one has its laws how it operates. Each path has its strengths and limits. To use a Rhandite ability you have to give your mind into a simple concept. That the only real power is the power to destroy and that destruction is eternal. That means those that follow the path of the Rhandite Sith give their mind into destruction. Their minds become twisted being what is called the Dark Sight. They have little need for family and friends. They’re monsters that focus solely on destroying. They’re being of Chaos and Evil with no alliances. No love just a level of hate you wish to destroy everything.”

“It does not mean one who follows the path of the Dathomiri can’t develop a spell that would be similar to the Rhandite Death Beam. It truly would not be the same however. The Rhandite Death Beam is an aspect of pure negativity. It just does not burn like a super heated plasma sword. It does not just rapidly decay flesh as well as metal what it touches. It also drains the very life force from the victim. It is the polar opposite of the Wall of Light. To use it I would have to lose myself and my will and by doing so lose my free will to be me.”

The Living Force did have a way to balance itself. Speaking of that it brought Minerva’s mind back the magical theory of her own origin. “Grandmother Petra”, if any emotion that was displayed in her eyes it was deep thought. “About the experiment with Grandmother Ava, what type of experiment was it”, Minerva had a guess but she did not need a guess. She needed facts. Without facts she would never truly understand.

It was amusing to watch the two interact with each other. There were memories of how her Fabula and Kris behaved together. Even the knowledge of the force. There was the regret again. She should have put her foot down and made her girls behave better; however, they were the babies in the family. She spoiled the hell out of them and let them get away with murder. Now she had one of them hating her so much for things that were made up. No way to reason with that type of mind.

Back to Mini and Bundori, Petra was smiling. She was letting them get their thoughts out between the two. Mini was like many of her children that focused on the studies. Kris, Lauda, Ava, and Nox were more that way over others. Oh, family no matter how many generations apart; they all seem to repeat each other.

Now Petra did have to amuse herself a little more. Ignoring the question for now, she added to what Mini had said. “Destruction is never eternal, sweetie. That silly group got so mad at me when I showed them how foolish it was to follow their so call…” Then Petra made air quotes, “Dark” She continued on with her insulting the dump sorcerers, “… It was amusing. And, after I destroyed a world and the next day brought it back. I got a few more worshipers out of it. So, let’s make something very clear, girls… anything is possible to do with study of the force and belief in me. It is why many of your ancestors are returning and will be returning to the living.”

Then she finished with a little joke that made her chuckle to herself even if others did not get it. “Like I have said in the past… Force has rules and since I was never consulted about them, they don’t ever apply to me. Little perks of being a deity in this galaxy.”

Bundori was listening to her sister and taking it all in.. the explanation fro her and Petra as they spoke though had her grinning and enjoying it all. Her thoughts though went to the curious again at the mention of destroying and bringing a planet back... it seemed impossible but she wasn't going to doubt things. Their mothers were pretty strong after all and fit together. Mommy Dharma with her power and mind tricks... Mommy SHinju able to drink it all in and not go crazy... just isntead feeding back into her with energy. Bundori was looking at Minerva again though and she spoke. "But but but... you are always shooting me death beam glares when I."

She smiled and just stood next to her, head tilted to the side on her sisters shoulder leaning over to lick her cheek. "You know when I steal some of your cookie's back home." Bahahah insert wicked and evil cackle as she was looking at Petra and she wasn't as skilled in magics as Minerva but if she could get stronger then sure... she could denounce the whole god things maybe... though questioning if Goddess Dharma would go to way with her ancestor and grandmother would be something to see... oh she wanted to learn better magics now. Bundori was pulling at her sisters hand to bring her closer. "Oh I want to learn more.... I want to make something cute for my sister. Or pie.. we could make some magic pie."

Minerva being astute young lady listened to her Grandmother Petra. During the course of this conversation she was starting to understand a few things. Placing ancient history together and dismissing fables, that was maybe more gossip. Was it wrong for her to take more an analytical standpoint?

She knew not all of her family members were mentally stable. Ok, the truth was very few of her family could be considered mentally stable. She was beginning to understand her Grandmother’s. She knew it would not be wise to test her Grandmother’s believes if she wished to have a relationship with her.

There were some truths to her Grandmother’s words. The more Minerva tested her abilities she had found anything could be possible. With unlimited possibilities there was balance. What balanced her Grandmother? Did her Grandmother even know?

Minerva was vocally silent but her emotions displayed were evident. Minerva felt. Soft whispers ever so gentle. They dance, they sung. Like ripples upon a pound they slowly flowed outward. A gentle current and Minerva found herself cast adrift. Ever so distant as it was she felt it. Echoes of time long before her very own.

She felt sympathy. Maybe she should not. Maybe she should have been angry. Maybe she should be many things. Maybe she should have gotten up and left the room. It was not visions. It was not echoes of sound she had heard. It was the pain of love lost. Minerva was certain it was her Grandmother Petra’s. Maybe it was a little intrusive but sometimes the Force speaks and you have no choice but to listen.

Minerva did not ignore Bundori and her latest digs or request. Minerva hazel eyes never left their grandmother. She did not answer Bundori with eye contact or a verbal response. Minerva had taken her free hand and placed it over Bundori’s hand that was holding hers. It was a soft unspoken gesture to show her sibling attention?

“Grandmother Petra, what is your favorite color”, the question danced off pink pastel lips. Minerva had a thought. She could not repair things that happened so long ago. Nor was it her place to be noisy and dig into something that was not her place to do. It was not wrong for a Granddaughter to show kindness to her Grandmother. A smile and kindness can go very far.

“I’m sure you could make something for yourself but I was thinking of making you a necklace or something similar. Is there any type of stone that are your favorite? Any shapes that appeal to your eyes more than others.”

If her words of being a goddess were true or not true, it had nothing to do with Minerva’s gesture. This was simply a Granddaughter trying to be kind to her Grandmother.

[member="Bundori Vessia"] [member="Petra Cavataio"]

“Now Bundori, sweetie… If you want to learn more. I mean learn it like your family before has. Then we need you come to Leritor and I can train there as I build a new stronghold for my people. Of course your sister may come and learn too, but I feel like she would be a bit bored until the more advance spells.” Petra said with a smile, then she looked over at Mini with a smile. Adding to what she said, “I say still come, then you can your shop and home how you want it as we carve it from inside the mountain like this stronghold was done.”

Then what Mini added when she finally spoke made Petra realized that the awakening was still happening for her body. Taking longer than she wanted, it was becoming clear that she could not keep using her sleep to repair herself. She knew that day would come. However, it was sooner than she hoped. Being close to five or six or how many thousands years ago, there was a push back with denial about the situation.

Petra refocused for the moment. Changing her feeling from her sadness to a more relaxing, soothing, and yet power and magnetic pull towards her was there too. She did not need another to know her actual feelings and thoughts. There were her own and blocking them now in the layers she always had returned. Layers had to be applied. No one needed to hear or feel the craziness of Petra.

Getting back to Mini, she held her right hand out. A spark happen then a ball of purple ichor appeared. She focused it to move around her hand like snake. “This is my color, sweetie… Purple is the sign of those that follow my teaching and had belief in me as a deity. My children were taught how to change it to their own color but there is always purple that flows about in it.” Then she paused to remember what else was said. “And, that is really kind of you, Minerva… you can surprise me on the necklace since those I wear all the time.”

Bundori was looking at the two of them and feling left out for now at least... for now... She was worried about being left behind but the offer to be trained while she moved and wrapped her arms around the older woman's waist. "Thank you grandmother. I would love to learn better magics and spells." She had been taught by two masters, Matsu Xiangu and Darth Venefica...both were skilled in spells from the sith. Bundori though was also feeling something from her sister and when all three of them were close she reached out to touch her sisters back. Rubbing it with lazy circles, something had happpened with Minerva.... something different or maybe it had always been there while her sister was deeper in thought. Being shown purple ichor with a grin on her face as she heard she could make any color she wanted other then green. "Oh oh oh can mine be pink.. bubblegum pink with sparkles... lots of sparkles."

Minerva was actually not having an easy time with any of this. She loved family. She wanted to help them. She would defend them. Though it was extremely exhausting, for her to try to keep up with all their instable mental issues. She felt her Grandmother pulled her emotions into another direction. Her grandmother closed off what should be a bonding situation. No it should have been a healing moment. Though the older Dathmoiri went right back to bottling up her emotions. Minerva let it be though. She could not force her Grandmother to heal her old wounds.

She could say goddess all she wanted. To Minerva this was a great something Grandmother. The love would always be family regardless. That was where she was. She knew it was not going to help anyone if she forced any perspective upon her family. So she was going to play along. Well she was going to play along sort of. Minerva played this with her mother as well. She did not believe her mother was a goddess either.

Though with at the moment, she was having difficulty on what to say to help push the conversation. Might as well keep her end focused on her making stuff. “Nice, I shall make it”, Mini did take notice that she had freedom to do whatever. She was trying to quietly debate what sort of magic she would put on it.

[member="Bundori Vessia"] [member="Petra Cavataio"]

Getting rid of the ichor, Bundori being thankful for the offer to learn from Petra was pleasing. Petra would have to do it on Leritor. That meant a little wait because there were plans here that needed to happen before leaving to the other world. “Good Bundori… we will start after I get all the legal junk out of the way with becoming the Viceroy of Leritor. Then it will be all the fun with training like how your family had been before.”

Mini’s lack of real response was not disheartening. Petra knew the mood change for her could have caused that. She was going to continue to another game with the two. “Okay, girls… I want you two take a seat on the ground side by side in front of me. I want to show you two something else.” She happily said as she got up and pushed her chair further back behind her with the force. She sat down on the ground. Her legs were cross and hands rested on her knees while waiting for the girls.

[member="Minerva Vessia"] [member="Petra Cavataio"]

Bundori could sense some sort of shift in her sister... Minerva was acting strange now while she had seemed to come to enjoy being here around Petra. Still she was moving to sit down across from Petra but stayed there with Minerva as she looked at her. Hands going to her arms to rub them face going close so that she would be able to offer a bigger smile. Speaking softly but with some intent. "Minerva... what is it? If you don't want to be here say the word sister and we'll get out. She is an old woman.. she'll break a big if she tries to catch us." She said it and while it was ajoke she still was wrapping her arms around Minerva with a small look to try and lead her to sit down. WIth her... more in her lap where she could look and watch Petra trying to discern what the plan was and what they might be learning for now.

Introverted, not entirely. Untrusting, maybe sometimes. Minerva was cautious because she had seen the wickedness of other and even her own mothers. Bundori was sweet but she was like a child who did not know any better.

When Petra closed herself off it was like her saying she did not trust Minerva. Minerva was not the one who distances themselves first. Minerva so wanted to be in a loving open family. How can that be if you feel someone was plotting behind your back?

“Because I am mad Bandori”, Minerva answered the question from Bundori. “I’m mad that bucket heads taint this home of our ancestors. I loathe the idea they defile our traditions. I just do not wish to slowly burn them. I wish to slowly rip their flesh piece by piece off their bones”, those dark words slipped from Minerva’s pink pastel lips. It was not the only thing she was upset about but she was holding that in ever after they had their encounter with the Mandalorians earlier today.

There was still the fact Minerva was asked to sit down. Minerva had not though. It was not defiance that kept her from doing this. It was her lack of trust. Why she could tolerate Bundori being near her when she was sleeping? It was the fact she knew Bundori’s motivations. Bundori was obsessed with Minerva in unhealthy ways. Alive and unspoiled was Bundori’s desire for Minerva and near her. Minerva knew how to handle that.

This was hard for Minerva. Upon thinking further? Minerva had enough clue to know that Petra’s goals was to have Bundori and her alive. That did not mean this woman wished something else. Minerva’s free will was something special to her. She managed to keep it all this time with two dominate parents. She knew well enough there was spells that could take free will away. Then something came to mind putting her at ease.

“Sorry”, Minerva asked Bundori and Petra. I should have been more open about that and not have held that in. So Minerva sat down as her Grandmother Petra had asked.

[member="Bundori Vessia"] [member="Petra Cavataio"]

It was a little disappointing to listen to Bundori being rude. That in the larger scheme of things was nothing. In the moment, it was still rude. Petra was going to show them something a bit personal, but there was a change in plans. Another memory from deeper back in Petra’s past would be shown. How far back was unsure, there was a lot of memories to pull from.

With them actually sitting with Petra on the ground, Petra went through a list while she made another request. “Thank you, girls… now, Minerva and Bundori place a hand towards the center and I’ll show you a piece of my past.” The piece had been chosen, and if the girls wanted to see it. Then she would have lots of fun with the memory.

[member="Minerva Vessia"] [member="Petra Cavataio"]

She was looking at Minerva and listening to her for the moment as she waited.. attention to trying to make her sister smile but she couldn't just get her ticklish spots.. no she would have to play it cool and sitting there she just touched her sisters back. "Ot will be okay, we'll make them pay.... it ways they don't even have names for it yet." She had a wicked grin though before turngint o Petra who was looking at them and offering a chance to share her memories with them. Bundori was going to wonder about it and spoke seeing her sister. "You want to do it?" She was curious but held out her free hand and the other up so they could do this together. THey would resisst mental influence or they would wade into the mandalolrians and bath in their bloods like it was an ocean to wash away all of minerva's anger.

Minerva snuggled close to her grandmother and her sister. She was a very convoluted young lady. She wanted to be close but feared being hurt. What ever happened in the past she had put aside for the moment?

“Its fine Bundori”, Minerva went to go place her hand forward like instructed. Her heard did race though. She hoped it was just a trip back through her grandmother’s memory. If not it would add up to another heart breaking moment.
