Soon as the clock ticks to /null/ I throw my car into first gear take off down the track. With each iteration of rpm revs, I throw myself into another gear, feeling my back press into the seat due to the roar of the engine. I grin from ear to ear. "LETS DO THIS THING!" I tail one of the racers in front of me, cutting out the drag before pulling off to the side. This puts me in front of the guy behind me and slinging myself ahead. I throw my car up another gear as I hear the rpms spinning at a high frequency, setting me a few feet off from Andorreth's quarter panel, giving him a wave in his side mirror. "All's good in the neighbourhood."

I take a peek to my mirror, noticing that was harassing Andorreth earlier. I catch something in my eye, not easily seen by the normal eye, but my enhanced eye catching a glimpse electronic impulses. "OH no you don't!" I weave to the side to catch whatever charge is building in the mechanical tubing, things seemed fine for only a moment, before suddenly the vehicle jars to the side, all electronics glitching out and engine grinding to a halt. My mind freezes for a moment not knowing what to do, watching the rear view mirror as the headlights rush towards me, heart racing. "No no no NO!!" I shout at no one in particular, ears pinning back to protect themselves as the sound of my voice bounces back harshly from the windows. OK Stop. Calm down. What happened.

I look around at the interior, watching the electricity arch. No physical damage. All electrical. Just a disruptor. If I can interrupt the flow of electricity from the battery.... I open up the center panel of the car pulling out a couple wires, and cutting one. 10....9.....8.... I take a couple deep breaths hearing the roar of engines zoom past me. 3...2...1.. I I twist the exposed wire back together, flicking the engine back on, before roaring back down the track.

She kept her eyes on the kid who'd challenged Andorreth from earlier, watching him drive along the track and narrowing her eyes. Jae pushed up against Andorreth as he made a sharp turn and she straightened up a little as he mentioned he had a couple ideas for the tattoo he had mentioned earlier. She about to ask what he had in mind before an image flashed and appeared in her head. Looking forward as she contemplated the image she nodded her head slowly a couple times in an approving manner, "I think I actually quite like it." She finally replied, "Nice choice Mr Vikar" She added, smirking at him. She continued to listen as he began suggesting an area to get it tattooed. She looked down at her tummy trying to imagine the tattoo one her and nodded again, "Sounds good to me!" She cheered before he made another turned and she slammed into him, "Ow!" Wrapping her arms around his waist she leaned her head onto him and watching, tapping to the beat of the music as Andorreth came roaring down the track.

She glanced up into the rear view mirror and saw Crosswire zooming back up the track and overtaking all the vehicles that had manged to pass him during his engine malfunctions. Smiling as he passed each vehicle with ease.

Seeing Crosswires's car suddenly stop confirmed what I'd figured kid on the bike had a disruptor but tuned specifically to disable vehicles. I wondered if Crosswire could tune into the frequency and force it to misfire short of the finish line. The bike began weaving through the spaces in other racers coming specifically for me. Looking at Jae I said "hold on Cyar'ika...." Then as the biker was headed towards my car at breakneck speed I downshifted and moved back and around another racer. Looking back I saw that racer's car be disabled and rolling down my window I sent the car in a spin so that I was essentially driving backwards. Reaching out the window I brought The Force to bear on the disruptor then I simply jerked it form a holster on the bike and tossed it back down the track in a crumple of metal.

Spinning my car back around I shifted up and rocketed forward. We had a good ways yet left to go and after collecting prize money Jae and I were going to get ink done for her and me and then maybe a club down here before we headed back to the safe-house. Preferably something a little smoky, with pounding bass to dance to and drinks. Even though the safe-house would have all sorts of alcohol, I wanted Jae all to myself after this race. Switching hands one back on the wheel and one by Jae I began running my hand through her hair and gently squeezing her neck as I did there was still time.....I wanted to take time for the build up.

Jae leaned up to look through the window, watching the kid on the motorcycle, closing in on Andorreth and herself. She looked back to Andorreth when he warned her to hold on. She did so and tightened her grip around his waist a little more, though not restricting any of his movements. As Andorreth shifted gears they ended up driving backwards, she turned to look out the back, "Andorreth.." She said in a quiet and wary voice, watching what he was doing and keeping an eye on the kid as well.

She sighed in relief as Andorreth dealt with the disruptor on the kids bike, smirking as they took over and passed the kid. She smiled as she felt him running his hands through her hair and down her neck, sending a soft shiver down her spine. She leaned her head back onto him as Andoreth began covering the last stretch of the track, nearing the finish line when he'd collect his prize money. Jae knew from the start he was going to beat that kid, she just couldn't wait for this race to be over so she could see the look on that little brats face. She looked forward to after the race, wondering what they'd get up to next and wanting to spend more time with Anodrreth.

I kept a short distance away from the kid on the bike to keep from any misfortune that was bound to spew from the deathtrap. "He's bound to have more toys on that over sized bicycle." I set my datapad to scan, and plug one cord into my temple, watching the HUD of the implant take up a quarter of my vision, splitting the scan data into 3 parts: superficial, mechanical and electrical. I watched as a cylinder of wire and glass spring free of the bike of it's own volition and smash into pieces. I swerve a bit to the left to avoid any debris. "Ooo...Kay?" No electrical pulses to send it flying or mechanical oversights. Odd. I shake it from my mind for the moment and focus on the parts I see ahead of me.

No other concerns except for... is that a explosive round? I search the airwaves for any potential wireless signal, as it's not connected to the power fed into the twat's vehicle. While listening to the signal pings, I catch a glimpse of headlights in my rightside mirror, swerving in their direction to fight them off, putting me just out of scanning range.

I don't have time for this. I set myself up just to the left of their vehicle, and lift off the pedal, cutting into the corner of the contesting car, sending him into a building along the side of the track. Unfortunately due to the stunt, the cycle is even further out of reach. I slowly press the the pedal to the floor to see just how much this car can take.

I'd been tracking Crosswire's progress and he was definitely keeping a good pace. The biker was becoming problematic though and it seemed he was intent on ending me the cylinder I caught blowing out of the bike jsut as Crosswire jerked into another car. That car subsequently went crunch, but the wire and glass was....oh kark me.... He'd ejected a glass cylinder and the wire had magnetic ends, booby trapping the course was a bit irrelavent at this point as we were only a few kilometers from the finish line. I'd had my focus both on the race, and Crosswire's emotions. Not exactly tipping any scales but his concern after the wire trap was genuine....Looking in my drivers side mirror I had just enough time to catch the vapor flash of a launcher. Oh come on! Reaching out I could feel.....magnetic force and explosives.....Oh Fierfek'la Osik! Magnetized explosive round the launch was towards me and as I was currently leading it'd latch to my car.

Yeah......no I hadn't spent as many creds on this car or as much time with Jae and Crosswire to allow fatalities. Reaching out with The Force I gripped the explosive charge and sent it soaring down a gutter pipe. It'd latch on and go boom spewing Force knew what over the rest of the racers and the track but hey no fatalities. Just the fact that osik happened...Crosswire was making good enough speed that he'd clear the blast of waste. Looking over at Jae and with one hand on the wheel I gently pulled Jae against my shoulder then said "Only a few more minutes and you're all mine cya'rika." Then I shifted taking us even faster towards the finish line and a likely confrontation with the biker....

Jae watched with wide eyes as the glass cylinder the kid had ejected shattered across the ground. Looking in the mirrors around to car to see what was going on along the racetrack. She kept an eye on the kid on his motorcycle, narrowing her eyes at the side mirror as she watched him and waited for any more pointless stunts he would decided to pull in an attempt to get an upper hand on the race and try to beat Andorreth.

Jae glanced up to Andorreth and knew his full attention wasn’t on the road and he was utilising the Force to do something. She sat up a little and looked out the rear window and scowled as she saw the magnetised explode round. “Andorreth.. there’s a-“ before she could explain the situation to him the charge went pummeling into the gutter pipe just before it went off. She nodded her head a couple times, “Nicely taken care of.” She muttered mostly to herself before settling back beside Andorreth. She smiled up at him as he expressed having her all to himself in a few minutes. She playfully and harmlessly hit his chest with a lazy hand, “Keep your eyes on the road!.” She said smiling before placing a quick kiss on his cheek.

Jae was forced back a little further into the seat as he sped up and raced toward the finish line. Smirking as she couldn’t wait to see the look on that brats face when Andorreth won the race. “Someone’s gonna throw a tantrum when they’re not the first ones over the line.”

Smirking at Jae's comment of yelling at me to watch the road I contemplated albeit briefly driving with my eyes closed just to mess with her. Deciding against it I chuckled at her saying someone would throw a tantrum when they didn't win. Looking at her as I rounded the third to last turn I said "Just remember cyar'ika...after I win you get inked in my club." Broadcasting to Crosswire I said "Ayyyy buddy.... I have a song I thing you'll like for the last bit." Turning on the radio I broadcast the tune and looking at Jae unlocking the throttle and lit out as I said "hold on Jae and you'll figure out why I love this so much."

Slamming it into gear I said "I think I'll keep as close to the guy who wants it so bad as possible to rub it in a bit." Downshifting I threw the car into a 360 whipping backwards and around to the left side of his bike. We were nearing the final two turns and maintaining my speed I rode right alongside him as we arced into the second to last turn. At this point I didn't even care I was showing off jerking the throttle forward I spun back out from behind him into the lead and began drifting as tight against the guardrail as humanly possible. My left rear bumper was centimeters from causing sparks and I maintained the distance as my rear tires smoked up into the little punk's face. Force and by the Goddesses I loved this.... Coming into the final turn I saw Crosswire in my rearview. Smirking I accelerated into the last turn just as Crosswire was catching me I whipped into the last turn again riding the guardrail as close as possible riding the gas and brakes and maintaining my speed.

I saw Crosswire smoke past the biker and join me as we neared the finish line. Then I accelerated past him and threw Nyssa into a drift to the other side as I crossed the finish line. Looking over at Jae I said "Now time for dancing, getting you inked, and food."

"Hmm, can't wait." She responded as he explained the plan after Andorreth had won the race. She was rather excited to get inked, she'd never done it before so she didn't quite know what to expect but she had a pretty decent idea. She glanced over to him and laughed as the song began to play out loud, blasting through the speakers. She held on tight to him, knowing Andorreth was about to make the final run of the course.

Jae laughed at his comment and rolled her eyes, playfully hitting him on his leg, "You are such a showoff." Her eyes widened a little in excitement as he whipped the car around completely, nearing the boys bike. She sat up a little and looked out the window, seeing the boy on his bike riding right beside them, she shook her head slowly as a smile crept onto her lips. The kid on the bike frequently kept glancing over to Nyssa and trying to get in front, but Andorreth was merely toying with him at this stage. With another turn Andorreth drove dangerously close to the guard rail, "Cutting a little close aren't you?" She said with a smirk, though she knew Andorreth was in control and knew what he was doing.

As Andorreth drifted across the finish line she looked over to him with a smile and leaned forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him. "Great, cause I'm starving and ready to party." She said before hopping out of the car. Looking around she saw Crosswire in his car and soon after the kid on the bike came in last, smirking as she watched him skid to a stop.

Smirking at Jae I felt her lips on mine and as she pulled away and mentioned starving and ready to party I said "Well lucky for you my club has everything you can think of. Food, drinks and dancing, and a low key tattoo parlor." Smirking at her I leaned out the drivers' side window and said "Hey kid! No hard feelings, you actually did really well. I was racing down here for years though until I left Triple Z. I also have always been about having fun and enjoying the ride. That's what got me a reputation people ran with me cause it was fun and we'd go back to work the next day. My car, it's filled with fun tricks. No weapons hidden in the car, just what I did under the hood and outside the hood. Like I said you did good against me, lose the weapons ride to have fun. Don't know if you'd be interested or not but there's an afterparty at a club called Afterlife 15 levels up. It's got great bar food, burgers and such but there'll be some stronger drinks and stuff too. Maybe I'll see you there?"

Looking back towards Jae I commed Nyx and said "Dude split the money three ways. I'll take the shorter cut, Jae and Crosswire get a quarter each and you'll take a quarter as well I'll take whatever is left. Also Nyx, get Jae a bike. Sporty, able to be tuned and think blue or light blue. We'll see you at Afterlife dude." I'd let Jae sit in shock at what I'd just said, driving down to an elevator I waited until Crosswire had entered alongside us and I triggered it. We'd be going up a good 15 levels and as the lift took us up I waited. The lift doors opened and I drove for a good bit before we came up to the alleys. Triggering another hidden door we drove in and entered another garage, after parking I got out and opened up Jae's door extending my hand for her to grab. The various neons lit the garage and I could feel the rhythm and bass above us. This was going to be an epic night...
