STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Destroyer's Chosen:
-Trained to do Kad's work from the moment he took his first steps, Faust is an absolute master of melee combat. Whether it be with swords, fists, or high level grappling, the priest is an overwhelming force of nature in close quarters, equal parts skill and savagery.
Indomitable
-The more zealous priests hold to a deep conviction that pain is the most sincere form of worship one can offer Kad. Self-flagellation and ritual mutilation are commonplace, and as a result Faust's sensitivity to pain has been reduced to almost zero, with only the most traumatic of injuries eliciting a reaction. Mentally, the priest is immune to torture. Having already visited a host of horrors upon himself with pleasure, it is impossible to intimidate him with violence or pain.
Not-So-Deadeye Duncan:
-While Faust spent years training with blades and his bare hands, it was rare for him to pick up a rifle during his time as an Initiate. As a result he's a rather poor shot at anything over mid-range. Target-finders built into his HUD mitigate this greatly, but among veteran soldiers his poor aim will always be noticeable
Bloodthirsty:
-Outside of battle, Faust can keep his homicidal tendencies in check fairly well, but when he's in the thick of things and the battle-fog descends, it becomes impossible for the priest to show restraint. Slaughter, torture, and unchecked cruelty are all nearly checked boxes on his dossier, and it's made his vode wary of him. The bloodlust can also override his tactical thinking, causing him to break formation in a sudden charge or allow himself to be outmaneuvered due to his singular focus on butchering his foes.
APPEARANCE:
Faust Skirata is a man of middling height, stoutly built and covered with hard, corded muscle. Thyrsian heritage gives him skin the color of stim-caf, while his hair falls to his shoulders in ebony sheafs. Yellow eyes oft possessed of a manic gleam peer out from a face that lies in ruins. Horrible scars cover the priest's features: burns, lacerations, poorly healed breaks, and ridges or scar tissue criss-cross nearly every inch of Faust's body. The worst is a ragged, gaping wound running from the corner of his mouth to just below his right ear, leaving a rent in his cheek that tends to suppurate.
The armor he wears is an ultra-light, stripped down version of beskar'gam, consisting of a helmet, cuirass, bracers, greaves, and boots, as well as a leather kama that's been threaded with beskar ringmail. This gives the priest superior mobility, but leaves parts of his arms and legs unprotected.
BIOGRAPHY:
-Faust was given to Kad straight from his mother's womb. His childhood was forged by the fire of the Destroyer, and the worship of conflict is all he's ever known.
Known for his skill and his savagery even among the homicidal cult, Faust passed his trials with ease and left the Temple to join his vode as a Warpriest, as was expected of him.
Privateering suited the Mandalorian; they hit hard and fast, and never left survivors. Even so, his discontent began to grow as he roamed the Outer Rim in the Wraith. It seemed his kind held no love of true struggle any longer. They were satisfied with credits and slaughter, happy to play lapdog to Sith in exchange for a pat on the helmet and a few credits tossed their way like a bone.
It rankled, and the final straw came when the Mand'alor's focus turned inward, not to address the rotting spirit or his people, but to oust those who were guilty of an imaginary crime.
Disgusted with the spiritual corruption so rampant in the Empire, Faust departed to join those kin amassing behind a ruler of old, somehow keeping alive a small, flickering hope that things could be different. That there could be a reckoning for those who stayed from Kad's sight.
That there could be Crusade.
