Favorite Character Archtypes?

So I was thinking a lot lately about, well about arch types. And personality types. Granted I think about them a lot, and watching more shows over the Christmas break coupled with my new Analysis of character creation class in Pyschology has made me want to think and talk about this subject;

What is your favorite character Archtype?

I like the anti-hero, personally. I identify the most with him; using backwater and sometimes morally questionable means to get what he feels need done. We see that with James Justice, my other favorites like Wolverine, and the like. So what is yours? And which is it that you identify the most with?

I've wirtten a Myriad. I used to write RC 212, a character everyone hated because he was a significant wildcard. A Pirate, a Military mind, led the first Deathwatch on the board, good times.

Then I shifted in my Ticons, Colap and Lisa. I found Colap took the role of spacer, Scoundrel Mercenary. All around a rampant criminal and awesome fighter. Led with the staff at the Red Ravens for a bit. Lisa was fun, I went for an archetype that was forcer with minimal Lightsaber usage, a Dark Jedi. She was a telekinetic tank with a penchant for violence anywhere the opportunity presented itself. My first actually successful force user too.

Never could write the Sith straight up. Ended with Vassara and Jack. Vassara was based of an archetype of one of my favourite writers here but with my own unique twist. An Explorer, a Rogue Jedi, torn between vengeance and light; Passion and the right way to do things. Originally an outlaw turned Jedi Master, working with every faction possible against Dark forces. Cept the Pubs, never really could fit a character in there.

Finally landed on Jak, a more warrior type, less force type Mando. Good old smuggler. All these have a criminal element in common, mixed with unique forcers and unique traditions and powers. I like to play the explorer spacer archetypes, with some force and a lot of background. I occasionally will pull out an old Military Character and dust them off for some fun too.

Interesting question; my ideal archetype is the Sage, who understands himself and the world around him, but I tend to play characters who are Rogues: single-minded and determined loners with radical ideologies.

My Meyers-Briggs personality type tends to align with the Diplomat quadrant, either the Mediator or the Advocate.

Criminal underdogs. All my favourite characters have been criminal underdogs who rose to fame, most notable [member="Lysle of the Hydian Way"]

It's not that I can associate with the character on a personal level, it's just that I love a good underdog story

lol, couldn't resist.

The only characters I've ever wound up sticking with are warrior-poets. Though it's not specifically poetry, more philosophy, the point remains the same. He's a killing machine by trade, but not by heart.

Yeah but my lil' Russians survived the longest during that attack on that desert town. I forgot the name. All I know is the other guys wimped out and ran away leaving us to deal with everyone. We ended up digging under the city and then coming under and up in their guard tower. We got owned so bad, but so worth it

I've always had a soft spot for the Deadpan Snarker, I attribute it to growing up playing the PS1 Spider-Man games and watching Spider-Man TAS around the same time.
