Feast of Delcarde: SJO Dominion of Toydaria (AC-36)

Wu felt something on her face... she didn't know if it was shock or horror... the whole plan of be friendly and work with them sort of went out the window when the first things being put forth were.... we'll give you supplies for a portion of your planet or make deals. The jedi master remained there in the seat and didn't move as the others were speaking.. or kind of demanding and she didn't want to look at the king who was sitting there. Hands clenched until she could see the white knuckles of his hand. She didn't speak she was just waiting for whatever happened next. This had suddenly gone sour and was looking to take a wrong turn.

"Perhaps we should take a break your highness. There is a lot that they are trying to do and we don't want to overstep." She moved to stand up when he did and inside the air was warmer while he and a few others went up and away. Towards some of the floating platforms that the jedi master couldn't follow to. She turned back to look at them and didn't speak until she was certain the ilusion they were out of earshot was present. "That was awfully mercenary, we never came trying to open the planet up to us. We came to help them and you are demanding they give you areas of the planet or buy from you."

She was looking at Sko, the armored verpine who for the most part had been.. quiet which she didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.... could he be asleep.... it wasn't like they could look through his helmet and see if his eyes were closed or however verpines slept. THe jedi master though was trying to think of a way to smooth things over... the Toydarian king had been reluctant to call them for help with the damage that had been done... he had little interest in what they wanted as they were jedi. They would have and should have agreed without hesitation. She looked at some of the guard. "Do you have a kitchen, as a means to apologize for first impressions please let us feed you."

She got some looks but produced from her field kit the high grade rations. Just needing water which they had and could have plenty of as needed. Fod stuffs all around when she got a look at the king who returned. The verpine had spoken and it was clear he was well at least in the same mindset as she was. "Yes please your highness, tell us what it is you require and we'll start from there... then we'll have some food." THat got a nod of agreement from the king as he spoke. "Food... that is one of the things we require. The destruction from falling debris in the initial crash destroyed three farms. It might not seem like much but farmland is scarce and why cities usually appear near them."

Wu was listening and understanding it, they went and lived where food was. She had seen the information about resrouce wars being common at times so losing a small handful of farms could prove a tipping point. MOre so if they gave everything to one house.... even to the king with the best intentions the people under him could prove more.... innovative in terms of how they give out the food or what they get for it. Wu had some ideas as she was moving now and the King was leading her towards the kitchens as Wu started checking the supplies. "ALright, so food is a priority, we can get several boxes of food rations to start. Simple yes but it is in the short term as opposed to rebuilding all of the farms and city first when we are still trying to find causalities."

The Toydarian's snout twitched, and he narrowed a confused glance at Aida. But, despite his suspicions, he began to lead her around the swampy lake just the same. Her boots sank deep into the mud, but it was far better than wading across the brown water. As she walked – and the Toydarian flew – Aida let her eyes wander. On the surface, there might not have been much to see here, but this really was a place rich with many useful things... one just needed to know where to look.

Arriving at the mud nests, Aida looked at the home of the Toydarians with curious wonder. However, she was not left to muse for long. A rather large Toydarian male was on his way out, the other onlookers were forced out of the way.

“Why have you come here?” He asked.

Callo's wings flexed and then carried him up higher, so that he could meet Aida's calm gaze. Smiling, the Jedi woman gave the Toydarian leader a polite bow of her head to show respect.

“Well met, Callo. My name is Aida Aquila, a Jedi Master of the Order of Silver Jedi." She started, “Your home here on Toydaria is quite special.” Aida was not simply pandering to the clan leader, it was a point she hoped to expand on -- should Callo agree to speak. "May I have a few moments of your time?"

Things started to spiral downhill as soon as the meeting started, he was surprised that some of the people here were demanding the things from the Toydarians. It all felt slightly sour in his mouth, these people were suffering and it would be taking advantage of them to only offer something for pieces of land and deciding not to help without that. Yuroic shook his head and let Master Wu lead the conversation as she seemed to be willing to offer help to the Toydarians without demanding something in return. It also seemed the Verpine named Sko'saht was on the same level as he was as well, it was good to see he wasn't the only one who thought they show offer the help needed without demanding something in return. Toydarians were sometimes seen as sly and slimy merchants but that was only a small portion and living under Hutt rule for as long as they did, it wasn't surprising that they became like that. Hutts were sly and slimy race themselves at times.

When the break was over, Wu brought some food and Yuroic raised an eyebrow. He cooked himself but never thought that food was important in negotiating a deal. Listening, he understood that the Toydarians needed food and resources to cope with the difficult climate that they are currently suffering with. Speaking in Toydarian, Yuroic looked over to the king, "Your Highness, it is an honour to be here. We could also provide aid with construction once the problem has been solved and assist in restoration to the farmlands as well. Only if that is something you find acceptable, we are only here to help and ensure your people can get back to the happy and healthy lives they have had under your rule." Compliments might seem over the top but Yuroic knew that the Toydarians were quite independent, not needing help from a faction to live their lives. Assisting them now didn't mean that they would want Silver Jedi presence left on their world once the problem was handled.

It seemed as if Rick had made the wrong approach, from what the other Jedi representatives had discussed.

Indeed, Rick knew more about data then he did organics. However, the former could often help with the latter. So, after a short break, he attempted to support his original reasoning.

"I apologize if anything that I ask from you, Your Highness, or any of your people happens to be unfair. However, this is a galaxy in war. Credits are stretched thin everywhere. If I were to restore your entire world's natural resources and settlements for free, my company would collapse in weeks."

"And I understand that you care more about your planet then some corporation halfway across the galaxy, but please be reasonable. You want your planet restored, and I want to safeguard my company from collapsing and leaving billions unemployed. We can achieve both."

Then, Rick begun his final plea. "So all I ask for is one hundred fifty kilometers - a hundredth of a percent of your planet. Keep two things in mind - one, the land we will build on is still under your jurisdiction, and you have every right to update our facilities if they are not up to your standards. Secondly, once the gases in this area are harvested, you can utilize them to boost your economy. This entire planet is your property, and you may still tax our products before they are shipped."

"I will personally direct rebuilding the cities and agriculture the other 99.99% of Toydaria, with my company's own charity workers. No credits or labor needed."

Objective 2: Triage

Location: Medical Camp

Muscles knotting and twisting, the knight hefted the bucket of water, which had been his task for the last hour, and was halfway depleted. The knight was totally out of his environment, and this was obvious to anyone who bothered to glance his way, awkwardly shuffling around sick beds, and surgeons at work, and trays filled with medical instruments with about as much skill as a rhino in a china shop. He was pretty much a jumped up water boy in this situation, administering cups of water to patients, and every now and then being called away for some other form of manual labor, he had already saved a few from sinking into the swamps outside the force dome in which they were operating. He had just about shut his mind off to the laborious and harsh tasks at hand, his body armor having been stripped away to reveal the knight's upper torso, drooling sweat and gleaming with the sheen of hard work, his attention was drawn to raised voices.
Draven set down the bucket of water, finally, something he was good at. Aggression. The knight strode towards the two females which were gathered around a rather upset looking native, who he had caught complaining about the younger purple one's age, the knight would not be having any of that.

"Hey, stinky!" His gruff voice called to the Toydarian, squaring his shoulders as he continued to stride towards the group, "The kid says you have fungal rot. Either come with us or not, but we don't have time to wait on you." Draven had been itching all day to begin the journey to the orbital elevator, and he was not afraid to let his irritation at the situation at hand be known.

Now standing beside [member="Nida Perl"] and [member="Mariya Fleischer"]
his battle-scarred, and mangled form was on full display, jagged lines covering his skin, seemingly no part left without some form of rip or old healed over wound. He smiled widely at the Toydarian, not seeming too far from a snarl really, "Now make a decision, and we can begin the first party to the elevator. Because while you're over here whining about who is addressing you, and their age, we have actual patients to treat."
The broad saber on his hip itched for something to free it, but the knight was able to address, and make himself aware of these primal, basic urges. He already had gotten into more than enough trouble from the higher ups due to some of his escapades as a younger man, no need to explain why a native needed to be slain. Especially since he was here to save them. It still took him some getting used to. Down to the very way he walked, Draven was an aggressor, always had been, odds are always will be, but he had specifically picked this mission. He would show that he is not so one sided that he cant do more than attack.

Objective: Triage X

There were times when the responsibilities of being a Jedi really hit you, the pressure piling up on your shoulders, almost overwhelming you. This was honestly one of those moments, the suffering of the sentients stretched out on the beds and stretchers was palpable in the air, even for those without the force. Touching the force in this place was to risk being swamped by the emotion, by the pain of those around you, and yet, the pink-haired Jedi was no healer, not really, her skills stretched out in another direction. But even she could do a little, alleviate what pain she could while the doctors and healers moved behind in her wake, healing those that they could.

The knight reached up, binding her hair into a ponytail behind her head, reaching out for another pair of gloves as she turned to the next patient, kneeling down beside him as she let a smile pull at her lips as she glanced across his body at the other members of the Silver Jedi percolating around the room. "Don't worry, you're not quite that bad, but let's see what we can do about this Fungal Rot." Asaraa shuddered as she reached out to the force, feeling the panic and fear surrounding her crashing over her like a wave as she tried to absorb it, turn it around into a positive emotion, to calm the patients so the doctors could work.

Yes, she knew that they may have come across as mercenarial on the first round. Yes, Rick was the one that went overboard with the mercenarial demands. But they were simply taking the long-term view, what was best for the Toydarians, while Wu was busy going to the kitchen to cook for the Toydarian hosts at the table. And yet, a bilateral free-trade agreement didn't mean one side must buy from the other, it meant that there were no tariffs to be levied on either side of the trade route. Better teach these people to do the proverbial fishing than simply hand out food indefinitely, she thought, while things went sour enough to ask for a break in the proceedings, presumably because of how they went around focusing perhaps too hard on fleecing those Toydarians, disguised under simply viewing for the longer term. This was even worse than Chandaar, where tax reform was the key aspect. Of course, she knew that past generations of Jedi preferred to take the short-term view over the long-term when dealing with disasters of this nature, but it was almost sounding like dark-siders' taking the long-term view.

"We'll simply deliver the aid in stages, with the first stage being comprised of food and medical supplies for the short term, to stabilize the population until the weather control stations are operational. It's just that we feel we should do more for the long run, too. Your Majesty, please excuse me for the poor behavior of my associates. But our offer of establishing a network of weather control stations, free of charge, built using local labor, still stands, and then we will deliver the remaining stages of aid; it's just a question of making sure the aid we are offering is not squandered. Just that we will throw in free agricultural equipment to assist with farmland restoration, to be delivered once the weather control stations are operational, and in the meantime, we could train local agricultural workers in their use, again, free of charge"

The interior of the ship was almost completely dark. Only lights from Cassius’s helmet helped illuminate the way. At first, they were in some tighter corridors, but they eventually opened up into much larger spaces. Cassius slowly made his way through, making sure his suit’s built-in sensors could fully scan the area. He’d want to study a holographic version of this later, no doubt.

It was altogether fascinating and haunting, to be standing on a ship that more than likely hadn’t been active in over ten thousand years. Nowadays, with better hyperdrives, navicomputers, and back-ups for both, getting stranded in the massive swath of interstellar space was less common. Cassius could only imagine what the crew had to do in order to survive such a terrible fate. If there was enough crew, a whole generation of people could have grown up on the ship. Hopefully, any data disks or records from that time would be able to paint the full, probably gruesome picture.

“Incoming ship,” T-4D4 suddenly piped up, causing both of them to stop in their tracks. The tall droid’s yellow eyes darted back and forth as it wirelessly interfaced with the Spectre Melody’s active sensors. “It’s landing in a hangar bay not far from here.”

“Silver?” Cassius asked.

A pause as the droid interfaced again. “Unknown.”

Cassius sighed. Just like he said before, any number of privateers could be on their way here. Perhaps it was best to just find this person and see what they were doing here. Always mindful of the lightsaber on his hip, Cassius made his way over towards the hangar bay, T-4D4 trailing behind. Eventually, down a long hallway, he spotted a humanoid male with a few of his own droids in tow, roughly fifty meters away.

“Hey there!” Cassius spoke through the suit’s intercom system, giving the man a small wave. “You with the Order?”

Before Nida’s frustration could reach a fever pitch, a new voice cut in to confirm her diagnosis. Her head turned away from the patient and towards the blonde woman, relief spreading across her face. The Zeltron had a gentle touch, but often lacked the ability to assert herself when handing more unruly patients. But this woman carried herself with confidence, even as she continued to explain that refusal of treatment might lead to an amputation down the road.

The wink made her smile, made her just a little more comfortable in this uncomfortable environment.

This woman wasn’t the only one to see her plight. A man, heavily scarred, was quick to cut in with less grace and a measure of ferocity she’d only seen in warriors. Nida blushed briefly when he referred to her as a kid, but supposed that this sort of thing was warranted. She was, after all, a kid. Even if he was rough around the edges, he’d made a good point. This was a triage area, where they had to move as quickly as was manageable.

Despite Unto’s behavior, Nida still took ownership of him and his care, which meant stepping into his defense. Rising swiftly, she placed herself between the Toydarian and the scarred man with a knowing smile. “Thank you, I really appreciate your help—the both of you.” She turned towards the blonde woman, acknowledging her assistance with a bow of the head. “My name is Nida, and I am a healer with the Silver Jedi. May I ask to know your names, as well?” Next, she refocused on Unto, the brief respite from dealing with him allowing her to collect her thoughts.

“I know that being here can be difficult and scary, but we can help you get better. Would it help if I gave you a mild sedative?” Nida smiled at Unto, doing her best to defuse the situation. The Toydarian appeared to have shrunk back since the arrival of the two new strangers, nervously glancing away from the male of the bunch. “Y..yeah. Go ahead, kid.” He grumbled, finally feeling cooperative.

Nida turned towards the other two, beaming. “I am sorry to ask for more assistance, but could you two do one more favor for me?” She hated to pull them away from whatever duties they needed to attend to, but with the three of them, this would go faster. First, she turned towards the woman, handing her a stim. “Could you use this sedative on our patient while I prepare a line for the antibiotics?” Bringing the man into the fold, she motioned for him. “And could you please hold him steady for her?”

Three sleds had been loaded up as one of the nurses came and looked at her with her hands on her hips. The Gamorreon Nun's were big on healing and the one she knew as Helai stood there speaking in her guttural language. "Really?" The jedi master looked up and moved off the sled as she was leaving one of the droids slaved to it and stood there. THe interns and medical corp students were moving around. "So... how many healers does it take to treat a patient?" She said it standing there and watching them for a moment before she checked a datapad. "THe answer if it is more then one is too many. I guess it is time to potty train try and be gentle."

The Nun squealed and it was a laugh as some of the other Nun's came in and looked at them when she motioned for them. "The zeltron, give her bed bad duty, the blonde have her work getting the leeches off of the non critical patients. The others who came over make sure they are doing scut work and get me some actual doctors who can help." There were nods as the Nun's and nurses were going over with Cathbodua stopping in front of them and speaking. "Children, good news, since your latest case is so important it has ground your ability to function to a halt. I will be taking over. Please go with the nurses for your new duties."

She looked at [member="Nida Perl"] and spoke. "You will be getting bed pan duty, it is great that you volunteered for it." She didn't stay pointing towards [member="Mariya Fleischer"]. "You get a special job, some of the medics who were in the muck swamps have leeches and parasites latched onto them. You get to carefully take them off." She looked at [member="Draven Dursden"] and spoke. "You have the strength, help load up the sled before the people die please." She kept walking and pointed a finger towards [member="Asaraa Vaashe"]. "And you hello my new scut monkey, dressing need to be changed, since you four can't function handling patients and need to all work together. I will let the real doctors handle it."

She continued to walk as the nuns who were working as nurses and the silent went about leading them for the tasks. "No, there is no special treatment. You are all learning and that means you ge to do the scut work and love it. Prove you can function without someone having to be over your shoulder or killing patients and I might let you observe in a controlled setting is that understood." She continued walking and looked at some of the patients who were in the surgical theater. Standing there as she was given a new set of gloves and stepped into the field. Her nurses and droid were working to clean the field and everything they could see.

The purple teen seemed to be a little more relaxed after her intervention, although the two of them got a little reminder from [member="Cathbodua"] to move on quickly to another patient if Unto kept up his resistance. Mariya made a weak smile and glanced up, catching the back of the Jedi Master who had already walked past them. The blonde concluded that everyone helping in the Triage was on the edge.

By now, Unto had attracted the attention of a tall male who was obviously a warrior, accompanied by impatient manners that suited his gruff look. That was probably sufficient to make the Toyadarian agree with the treatment.

"Nida? Nice name. I am Mariya, currently studying with Master [member="Matsu Ike"]."

She reached out for the stim that was handed over by the teenager and nodded her head, ready to begin treatment once Draven held onto the patient in front of them. She was half tempted to wave the stim in the air to show Unto the length of the giant needle and see his reaction, but decided not to complicate matters.

Aida was now perched on the edge of a stump that had been offered as a seat. Crossing her legs at the ankles, she folded her hands in her lap and watched as Callo settled next to her on a stump of his own (much taller than Aida's). The Toydarian eyed her through a narrow gaze, but he gave a nod.

“Speak, then.”

She drew a breath, figuring that it would be best to cut right through to the point.

“Very well,” She said in an even tone. “I am aware that the King of your world put through a distress signal to the Order of Silver Jedi. We are here to provide the help that your world needs.” She bowed her head momentarily. “And I wondered, if by chance, the people of your clan might entertain an idea...”

Callo stared, as did his fellow Toydarians that had gathered to listen. “What idea?”

“Might we place a small research outpost near your swamp?” Aida asked, canting her head to the side. “The area is rich in fungus, many of which are bound to have medicinal properties that we could study. Of course, we do not wish to be intrusive – much respect will be given to your clan boundaries, care will be given to ensure that the nature and wildlife is left relatively undisturbed -- we will keep to any space permitted to us for study.”

After Aida's explanation, Callo answered with a snort.

She listened and looked around the kitchen they were in. As the two continued... almost unabated they had changed some tactc working to reassure that they weren't going to withhold it for a deal but she still rolled her eyes and stood there with the king next to her when she took one of the knives in the kitchen. "Are you certain about this your highness I know some royals prefer to let those under them prepare the food." SHe asked it and the king stood there flying up a little as he moved back and forth. "Just because I rule doesn't mean I am out of touch human... I wasn't born a king. Before I came into power I had to survive and be on the world."

She laughed a little to that and slid a sharpener out as it remained on the counter and blades from both of them were sliding along it. The edges of the blades being straightened and made to be sleek and sharp once again. Some of the rations after being re-hydrated and placed out before them. She still listened to the two before speaking. "JEssica, Rick... we need some of those potato's peeled. Please." She offered them a smile while looking at the other two. "Yuroic why don't you chop some of the leeks and Sko big strong mando you are... how are you at smashing garlic?" She said it with a wider grin but was working with the king as the sections of fat were being sliced off to make the meat more round.

"Now lets see some jakobeast bacon... yes and we're going to need seasoning... then something." She slid through some of the drawers. "Ah here we go. THe small cylinders were edible, frozen butter that she could use and stabbed into the meats to hold them in place. "Now your highness lets talk food, local delicacies here that we can start moving in and medical supplies. We have the orbital tether that has been used to get medics and doctors on the ground. They are working with your people at the crash site. Now restoring the city and farmland around it can take time... more time then we have right now but the food we are bringing in can be sent out."

That got a nod of approval as they continued and there was a large pan being oiled. The flames high below it and cast iron before Wu slid some water sending it in there to get a nice sizzle. "Wonderful... so how is the rest coming guys?" SHe had a look around the kitchen before turning back. "Now we understand what happened, you came to power, you pushed for isolation to prevent your people being harmed and only asked us here because you didn't have the resources to effectively handle all of it. You asked us here not because you wanted to open trade, make deals that gave away parts of your planet... you asked us here to help and we came with no thought of what we could get out of it."

He seemed to muzzle her hair with his hand. "You are a smart one now aren't you and look at this you know how to put things at ease. You two." He pointed to her and Yuroic. "Must get out and meet people these two seem more like hutts then jedi." THe king was bringing some of the food around and there were sliced grabworm. "Wonderful things when you cook them, crispy and they practically pop in your mouth." Hmmm she gave a nod of her head to that. "Sounds good, lets see what else we have here. Some steaks wrapped up, seasoned well and oh yes mashed potato's thanks to our hard workers here." The grin was there but she motioned. "Now we are going to need plates."

"Ah then we shall feast and we will discuss the situation. While deals can be made lets look at what can be done and started right now. Weather control stations, facilities they take time to build and restoring farmland in time for it to be used, cultivated, harvested and productive before the survivors of the city who will be trying to rebuild try and fight another. The benefits verses the trouble is low at the present point. Lets see how well the rest of this dinner goes. Your respect has endeared you some to me... them not so much but at least it is good to see the old saying about many jedi needing to repair the actions of a few is true."

"Asaraa."

A gentle yet firm hand reached onto the shoulder of the Knight Asaraa Vaashe. Trying to take their negatives into herself in order to calm the patients was admirable. It... Well, it was more or less what he would have done in her position. Except this was unnecessary. There were other ways to do this... And in a way more effective to help more people.

"You'll only hurt yourself this way. A+ for effort and everything, but there's a more effective way to do this."

Taking a deep breath, Josh would sit down beside her, cross-legged. Motioning for her to follow his lead, he would begin to project Battle Meditation.

"Close your eyes, relax your senses. Find your peace... And then reach out. Reach out to the people around us, feel their energies, feel all that they are... And then project. Instead of trying to take away and turn something around... Project that positivity you want them to have. It's less straining than what you're doing, and it will allow you to effect more of them."

He smiled softly. "Once you've figured this out, we can split up and hit them together, so don't fret too much if you don't think you're up to snuff. I'll be here every step of the way."

William paused, his glove brushing across the bulkhead. A deeply engraved design marked the corroded metal. An eye within a triangle. A slight frown flickered on his face at the symbol. He had never seen this variation before, and a sense of dread echoed within the Force. The frown eased into a noncommittal expression. It wasn't a presence that gave him the impression but rather instinct. His mouth opened subtly as canines elongated slightly. It was a sense born of his experience as an Underlord. It took a special mind to carve a symbol every few meters.

The YVH droids turned in unison, mechanical voices coming over the comms. "Organic and inorganic detected. Proximity alert. Classification: Friendlies." William turned away from the symbol, his fingers drifting from the bulkhead. Looking at the approaching pair he shook his head at the inquiry.

"I've seen the Order, but no, I am not one of your number. I'm the governor Olanet, within the Siskeen System. A member of the United Siskeen Coalition. I'm here to offer aid. The name is William."

The trio began to walk forward to meet the Silvers.

Somewhere along the hall an unseen senor was tripped. Deep within the ship systems that had been on standby for eons cane to life. INTERNAL SENSORS READING LIFEFORMS. ACTIVATING PRESSURIZED ENERGY FIELDS. INITIATING THE AWAKENING. As systems long dormant came alive, life support systems engaged. A bay hidden deep within the core of the ship flickered to life, lines of stasis chambers opening.

The Order of the Terrible Glare awakened to the galaxy once more.

It was like a haze, there was just so much of it, so much pain and fear, it felt like an ocean opening up beneath her, the bottomless sea of anguish pouring into her threatening to swamp her, carrying her away with it into an endless plain of numbness. She could hear the other's talking as if it was from a distance, tears leaking out of the corner of her eyes, if it had just been a muddle of emotions then she could handle that, but this was different. She could almost hear the child calling out for his mother, the woman regretting her choices, the shopkeeper worrying about if he'd have enough stock left to feed his daughter. A million lives gathered here, waiting for transport up to the orbital elevator, a million stories and problems. A million sources of agony, and just her, it was too much, too overwhelming. She could feel herself quailing under the assault, curling up in on herself before a hand touched her shoulder, familiar words, a familiar presence.

The girl's blue eyes snapped open, the breath rushing out of her lungs as she sagged down, tilting her head back to stare up at him, watching Josh settled down across from her, echoing his stance as she closed her eyes again, breathing out as she reached out through the force. "Always something to teach me huh?" There was an element of forced levity in the force as she looked inward, looking for the positive memories, those hidden gems that made her smile, letting the positive vibes flow out of her into the force to fill the room. "This...does make it a little bit easier." At least she didn't feel like she was drowning anymore.

As the man explained who he was, Cassius’s eyebrow quirked up. He’d never heard of such a position, or the organization he claimed to be with. The galaxy was a big place, though, and he didn’t seem to have any sort of malice against him.

“Well met, William,” Cassius nodded to him, his voice still slightly distorted through the intercom on his helmet. “I’m Cassius.” He continued to walk towards him, saying, “I’m trying to locate any sort of data disks or records that could still be left over from the era this ship is from. If you could help me out with that, that’d be great…”

Just as he was about to explain the history of this vessel if William didn’t already know it, the ship suddenly came to life. The floors and walls shivered as energy flowed through conduits for the first time in millennia. Lights flickered on and bathed the hallway in a bluish white hue. Confused, Cassius slowly spun around, feeling the energy of the place come alive. Similarly, T-4D4 looked as apprehensive as a droid could.

The young Jedi archaeologist would probably think it was fascinating if it wasn’t for the sense of foreboding washing over him. “The ship is becoming pressurized,” T-4D4 reported, “and energy fields are being activated around the ship. Life signs detected,” he said, pausing for a moment, as if he couldn’t believe it himself. Many life signs, deeper within the ship.”

“Well,” Cassius looked to William. “I guess we should figure out what’s going on.”

The youngling who thanked him for his help drew out a weary smile from the knight, "No problem-" He was abruptly cut off by the Jedi master which made her way through, issuing out commands and orders, no hesitation or thought to them- at least that's the way it appeared to Draven. But when she called him a child, that was where the Jedi decided he had a bone to pick with this woman, "Last time I checked, I'm no padawan. Master." His voice a strained growl, before her, continued, "But it will be done as you ask." Emphasis on ask. Turning on his boot heel, he made his way to the sled.
Children gathered around the sleds, weakly chattering among themselves, as they made feeble attempts to climb aboard, Draven reached down, began to aid them, his shoulders rolling and flexing as he picked one after another and set them down aboard. The heat was absolutely smothering-but the knight pushed it aside, continuing his work steadily. One little girl smiled up at Draven, and waved at him, as he bent and with a grunt, planted her on the sled.
He looked wholly out of place among the mob of sickly children, loading them up one at a time, making sure the children had a spot first before the adults. They seemed oblivious of his scars, rather gruff exterior, and snarls when they pulled his long mane of blonde hair, absolutely adoring Draven's presence, laughter and giggles, though weak and sickly, filled the air, as he made faces and told jokes to them.
Who would have thought the jedi had such a touch with kids?
Once the children's sled had been loaded, he made his way over to the adult one- where the going was much slower. One body at a time, Draven loaded them, sweat absolutely soaking his clothes as he worked, the knight eventually having to take a water break, but instead of simply sitting and drinking, he went and shared out water among the children, comforting them as they chatted in low tones. What an odd sight.

“What do we get in return?” Callo was quick to ask a question of his own.

Aida drew a breath, taking note of the other clan members hovering ever closer. Her blue eyes greeted them silently, and she returned her gaze to their leader.

“The Order will provide you with rations, access to the scientific reports, and any cures that may be derived from your world.” She said, nodding.

“Hmm,” The Toydarian paused, wings twitching impatiently.

Aida had seen the initial communications that had been received by the Order. The world's resources were precious and few, it was the least they could do to help. And with the outbreak of strange infections that plagued the Toydarian swamps, the research that could be done here could benefit them greatly.

After a short silence, Callo gave Aida a brief nod.

“Proud as we are,” He said, “We will not turn down the help. There, by the rocky cliffs...” He gestured in that direction. “Come to see if it will do.”

Giving the Toydarian a respectful bow of her head, she placed a hand over her heart.

“We thank you, Callo.” She said, and stood to let him show her the way.

the fifth sled was loaded up, the medics who were getting things set up and the silent had finished the small caravan as Cathbodua remained in the operational theater using the laser scalpel to finish cutting into the rotted sections and cleaning it while the droids brought reports to her. She couldn't sign them but she could listen to what was going on while her concentration was in the chest cavity of the Toydarian. "Pressor." She had been saying it all day to handle the bleeding sections. "Seven more have passed in triage, we are getting information of five more transports coming in with full capacity. The repulsor sleds are prepared and a route to the orbital tether is planned."

She backed away once they finished and the droids were working on closing the patient up. Her eyes going around in the mask before she saw little being done. "Where are the scut workers?" She asked it looking at the nurses and one of them spoke. "THey are... doing I don't know. Was this really the best we could get from the Silver Jedi's healers?" The jedi master looked at her, the nurse was in charge of her people and did better then most. Hell she would say the decades of experience made her better then some of the doctors. "I don't know, last time I was babysittig baby docs and healers like this I was a padawan with a ponytail. I don't enjoy reliving those days."

While they were checking out she felt something tingling at the back of her mind and spoke. "Is one fo them really trying to do battle meditation?" She got the feeling in her min and closed herself off expanding her thoughts outwards to her doctors and nurses who were drawing off of the jedi with healers robes to revitalize them and improve their capabilities to stay on their feet as they were reaching towards nearly two days of work and by her estimates the patient to population was barely ten percent.. They weren't counting dead in the field who wouldn't give them numbers. So she was uncertain about how many they might end up receiving as the distant sounds of medical transports came.

"That is more coming... prepare for quick observation." She flicked her eyes back towards the gathered group and someone else had joined them.. she had met Joshua before and he was proving... less useful instead training one while people around were injured and dying. A jedi master could have proven helpful but. "So want me to pull in some candy stripers from the Kiyomi? WOn't help right away but they can be a lot more useful then this lot." The jedi master looked at her and gave a nod. "Might as well, I'll check the final figures of the sleds and the rangers assigned to escort them. Then I think the new patients will be here and we can look over them."

THat got a handful of nods from the staff who had been given tea and stimcaf from one of the managers handling influx and patient charts. Several of them were working to make sure everythign was organized as the jedi master went outside to see the sleds loaded with the patients and even more then almost stacked on top of them. THe barest hints of the osmatic fields as the caravan started moving away slowly with the doctor pointing to a small area where they could fit a few toydarians on each sled. "That would take us well over capacity and slow us down more." The one ranger said but she spoke. "Maybe, but we need to clear as much space as we can with the new arrivials coming every few hours."

She got some looks but they continued on and loaded up more. THe jedi master going back in and looking to see if anything had changed with the talking baby docs... and doubtful of it she went back towards the OT where she could work with some of the other patients they were bringing in. She could see the sleds were heading out, with the ranger's leading the way and the silent were walking along with them towards the tether. The healer watched some of the others and a nurse came towards her as she stood up to her elbows going for the debris that had punctured and torn up the liver. "We have the cloned organs ready for transplant but there is some messages from the Kiyomi."

She looked at the comlink as a holographic image appeared. "Yes ensign, where is your captain?" THe man was looking at her and spoke. "He is ahh on the orbital tether waiting for you. The chief medical officer says we only have room for forty patients in the first trip." The jedi healer remained there and continued to work, her senses divided little as she worked in the patient but she spoke with a neutral tone. "Do you know who your chief medical officer is?" THe ensign looked at her and nodded. "Good tell Mason that Cathbodua is sending her sixty patients. All of whom I expect her to treat like her elderly mother only without the strange touching."

She was terse or abrasive but the jedi master touched it and finished as she pulled out from the careful cuts the organ that had been shredded and the new one was being put in as she started to transplant and after several minutes with the scalpel started to pink back up. THe ensign was still looking at her and she spoke. "Are you going to tell her or do you want me to explain what ER stands for ensign." He waited there and he seemed to be loking nervous... she knew the Mason's and they were good healers but they were also about clout and respect... THe two butted heads before but always in a friendly competition. "Ahhh." Her voice came out a little louder but still neutral. "Everyone's Replaceable."
