I have feedback... But honestly? I don't think this thread is asking for it, given your reaction to even joking criticism. And I don't think you will like what I am going to say because of that attitude. You seem to be seeking more affirmation, than feedback. Which is fine, we all seek it routinely, and anyone that denies that is a rare breed indeed, or lying. But you posted asking for feedback, in a feedback forum, and so I am going to give you such. Unbiased, and objectively. Because honestly? I've not written with you much, if at all, and don't really care one way or other for or against the character. But I have seen that you have an eye for story and plots and 'the long haul' of developing a character. And while I think you have erred in your journey, I think it is able to be fixed, and that you have a ton of potential as a writer.
From reading others here, there seems to be a small consensus at the least that Ferus 'does it all', which can be rather boring to read and be a part of, to be honest. Julius here is stupendously skilled with a lightsaber, and is honing his skill more and more. As he develops as a Knight to a Master, he will be focusing more and more on that aspect, beyond all else. Yes, his lightsaber skills will be intense. I intend for him to know at a level on par with being able to instruct Knight level FU on all 7 forms of lightsaber combat. I want him to know lightpikes, saberstaffs, jar'kai, maybe even a little bit of lightwhips and guard shotos or such. Some would say that is too much, when you can just make the same old TK tank model and still be 'just fine'... Which is not wrong...
But you also don't see Julius mastering much else, and that to me offsets him being an 'apex' user in lightsabers. He can't really use much in the way of Sense powers (excepting precognition and instiinctive astrogation, to a degree, in that they relate to battle)... He has some skill with Alter powers, but where they are developed to now will be about as strong as they become..And surprise, they relate directly to enhancement for battle. Control he is pretty much useless at using or learning. Yes I could argue and spam out training threads and RP learning all sorts of weird powers or skills. It would be easy to view Force Powers as an ala carte selection that are selected only to enhance the character. It's so easy to most of us don't realize it unless someone points it out.
But I don't. Or I at the least try really, really hard not to...No one is perfect, after all. But I try not to, because down that path leads to the Snowflake, or the Mary Sue, and I know neither of those are your intent with Ferus. But lets be honest, with all the 'apex' level skills you have acquired, you are pushing that pretty strongly at this point, intentional or not... Even someone who was once a Sith Empress, and several other arguably 'apex' level characters in certain fields (Rave Merrill for Alchemy, Ashin Varanin etc...) on these boards don't really possess all the high end talents to such a developed degree you do. And that should be a good indicator that things may have creeped by without your noticing it.
In the end? I think you overstacked Ferus on powers. And, some people here seem to think they lack right to criticize you because you have so many posts, and some might think that such a post count justifies a breadth of ability like yours. Both of those opinions are, in my estimation, beyond wrong. But that is a tangent for another day - suffice to say post count in no way justifies power or ability. Quality of writing and character do, but no matter how much quality you have, I think you've pushed the envelope too far. I think you need to find a way (body transfer gone wrong, something) and 'lose' some abilities and find a true purpose and archetype/calling/niche/whatever for Ferus. I'd suggest the assassin bit. As he is now, he is spread very thin, but instead of doing a lot of things a little(which is common, and acceptable, if boring to me), you do a lot of things a lot, and that just isn't cool for most folks, regardless of my positive opinions of you as a writer or your ability to plot and set a scene well.
All in all, I wish you good luck, and I hope you either find the solid, genuine advice you were looking for, or if not, that something of this thread helps you in some way to whatever end you were seeking.
