1) We're currently at ~860 years after Yavin.

2) Can be trained if you want, but you'll be a padawan until somebody promotes you

Hiya! My input:

1) We follow this main timeline - http://starwarsrp.net/page/articles.html/_/timeline/835-aby-galaxy-at-war-r22

Pretty much gives us a blank template away from any of the movies or books so we can create new ideas and stories and dictate how we all progress.

2) A Force-sensitive character must start as an Apprentice / Padawan as noted here - http://starwarsrp.net/page/articles.html/_/role-play-rules/ranks-promotion-r13

This is so it gives you the chance to develop the character and also meet new writers as you progress and develop.

Also, just make a thread in 'Roleplay Discussion' with your Apprentice / Padawan and ask who can help train you with your requirements and I am sure someone will take you under their wing!

Hope this helps? :)

A master is not absolutely needed. You can progress with out one with enough activity at the discretion of the Faction leader of what ever Faction you end up in. Also from time to time the Role Play Judges and Admins pick somebody to promote themselves which I believe is also based on activity.

Some pick a faction and then create a character for that faction. Others create a character and then see whatever faction they end up in.

Both a very good ideas. You are more than welcome to shoot me a PM with any character ideas you may have and I will try and see what options could work.

Very few factions have an application process. I think I have the only one that does but I could be wrong.
