Salvor Arnex
Hedge Knight
18 months before the death of Romeo Sin.
In the library of a modest home in the country side of obidia on Eclipstica, behind a desk sat a young Zabraki boy with golden skin and feirce black tattoos. He sat eblows pointed on the table his hands resting under his chin, looking the way he felt...defeated. He had poured over every bit of knowledge in this library, played every holovid, listened to every recording(twice!) hoping to find what had eluded him.
Salvor Arnex was his name and never before had he been one to quit. He had survived the slaughter of his family, he had survived being the slave too a hutt, survived the fighting pits and the training, he'd survived where others had failed and he had done so without ever giving in, no matter how deplorable the situation. Today how ever he had his first real thoughts of quitting, though, was it truly quitting or was he just conceding to the fact that what he searched for did not exsist here?
As he wrestled with the thought a knock came at the door. He told whomever it was on the otherside too enter and in walked the newly appointed captain of his newly formed guard. He had recieved many new things since coming here to Eclipstica. This library and the house it came in for example. Both felt too large for Salvor's liking, he had grown so used to the cramped space he called him on Hutta or the crew quaters on the ship he'd been on with the apprentice that even a place like this, which was small by even some upper-middle class standards felt like a palace. Something else new he had recieved was his own personal guard, to go along with his new title all appointed to him by his new king [member="Romeo Sin"].
Romeo Sin, was a man unlike any other Salvor had met, he was light hearted and empty headed, jovial and overly serious all at once. there was a darkness in him and power to be sure, but he was so unlike anything Salvor had ever encountered that it was nearly impossible to take him seriously. Salvor reached absent mindedly and itched the still healing burn scars on his arm, another new thing of his curtousey of Romeo Sin. The two men had met at a party being thrown at Romeo's estate and through events Salvor could hardly remember even a week later they ended up in a sparring match, with Slavor burned badly and The Shadow King, bleeding from a gut wound. After words Romeo had appointed Salvor as "Shadow Warden", a title he did not understand but accepted regardless. An interesting way to become aquainted to be sure.
"We found something that might interest you, Warden Arnex." His guard captain said. Like him she was young and probably way in over her head, Charisma Renaii was fresh from the military academy and had graduated with top honors, her reward? To be assigned to guard a forgiener who had ascended higher than anyone could go without being king, a few short hours after arriving and a few short moments after trying to kill said king. If she was resentful she hid it well. Her face, while beautiful betrayed no emotion and he could not acess her mind, whether that was due to her own prowess or Salvor's failings he did not know.
"What is it captain?" he asked.
"A voice journal, Warden, or part of one. we have someone trying to recover the rest but I-we thought you would want to hear this." She played the recording.
