Finding Erida

While he took one hand, her other hand rose to curl lightly around his head-tress. There was a flicker of softening in her hardened-features. She didn't want to be his weakness, she wanted to protect him. But she also loved him. She buried the confusion she felt around Korr, all but lost in her perception of Odium's raw honesty.

"We must go to force nexus." Words demanded action but her body-language contradicted it as she continued to keep Odium pinned against the tree. She waited a beat longer, calloused-fingers curling around his before she finally stepped back.

He had let her into his tangled mind, his cold heart, and seen her tangled in his sheets. There really was nothing barring her from his deepest secret. He loved her, it was a strange thing but it was real all the same. The link that bound her to him was no less binding on him than her. He had many things he could say, many thoughts that he could bombard the poor woman with, but he nodded as she stepped back. His desire for her once again pressed down as he stepped from the tree and began to walk toward the nexus. She had been doing well but the use of the force was drawing attention and the stronger presences of the temple were already beginning to stretch out and feel for them.

Odium had let her have some fun so far flexing her power for the locals, who were primarily force users, and now it was his turn. As they walked he stretched outward careful not to hurt the woman and began to drain life from the surrounding jungle leaving a 3 meter path of dead lifeless plants and animals in their path as they walked. A trail of shriveled black around them as they moved like a carpet rolled out to cushion the feet of the terrible pair. They had brought death to Erida and all who came here would never forget it.
