Finding Kahlil

"Is he alright" Zel asked watching the Master of the Baran Do sitting and seeming to radiate emotions. Emotions, that were not his.
"I'm sure he will be. This isn't the first time he's done this." Aso Mek answered patiently waving him away to get back to work.

Xos's mind was too busy to hear any of what was going on the present, and in his presence. His mind was in another time, and another place. Scorned, mistreated, attacked. He saw a child just trying to grow up in an existence that tried to destroy him. Every pain, every fear or anger, Xos felt almost as if they were his own. And then, he was chosen, to be something Darker then his past. He tried to prove himself again and again. But as time passed, as his abilities were indeed proven, doubts. He felt doubt. He felt it rise as this individual experienced more and more of those in the world who weren't cruel. Eventually, it overcame him enough, and a decision was made. With the help of...two, one to help truly show him more, and one to help him in his...escape, from those who he may have been forced to stay with. It all passed through his mind so quickly, and yet so vividly.

He let out a breath and leaned forwards breathing in and out deeply as he finally made his presence known to the others of his ship, Aso was the first to speak, "Another Vision." it was a simple statement. He'd had so many before, but they weren't always so intense. At least not during meditation.

With a nod he stepped towards Gra, "There's someone I want to help. And I know, when ya'll find out who he is, some of you will question it. But I have to do it. He's not what he was once. And I believe...I believe that I can help him."

Gra narrowed his eyes, "Why won't we."

Xos sighed, "Because he was a Sith. But he is not anymore. And I must find him."

There would be some...discussion, but ultimately, they'd agree to go with him. Xos focused on the sensation, on the vision, dictating as he focused the directions and navigations they would be taking, listening to the force. It would guide him, take him to [member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

In the plains of Naboo Kahlil rested in the grass, his eyes on the sky above him. It was an oddly peaceful day where he could just enjoy the weather without worry of assassination or pain. He was alone, just reminiscing on where his life had taken him. That was about when he sensed something off in the Force. Someone was specifically coming to him, someone who could feel his memories.

He sat up, his gaze traveling the sky to whoever was coming in a hopes to see them ahead of their landing, to at least know if it was friend or foe. [member="Xos"] was soon to arrive.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]
Xos sensed the man as they grew closer and closer, finally coming to Naboo. It was a nice planet, a good place for meditation. He stood up and looked out below, searching for him. Sure enough there hew as, observing it seemed. They were close enough it was obvious, but as he ordered for them to descend he was making sure it wouldn't be all that bothersome or stick out too badly from the distance. He attempted to speak out through the force, telepathy, one of the more useful skills he'd picked up, both for moments like this and for other forms of diplomacy. Only wishing to speak to him, not force his way with the thoughts. "Greetings, I am Xos Drikre. If I may, I'd very much like to speak to you. The force has given me a vision. And I want to discuss it with you more in person."

As he'd leave the ship, he'd wave at his crew to stay behind as he often did in moments where his Vision would take him places where there was any uncertainty. The more people approached, the more someone could feel threatened. And he didn't want them to feel uncomfortable even if only a little.

He'd wave a bit from a distance as he approached with a quick steady walk, he was not particularly intimidating compared to almost any other Kel Dor. Dressed in a sort of formal robe, around 6' tall and of rather average appearance for a Kel Dor. And his very presence just seemed to be patient and uplifted. He bowed his head in greeting once he'd get closer, "I apologize if I was interrupting you. But the Force is not always timely in when it gives me my visions so I wanted to come immediately."

"You're not interrupting much." Kahlil peered curiously at [member="Xos"] as the alien came close. It wasn't often the young man interacted with a Kel Dor, let alone one so powerful in the Force. There was no mistaking it, this was the man who had been watching him. A hand rested on the grip of his blaster, just in case things were going to go wrong, but he did offer a smile in an attempt to diffuse the situation.

"So, what have you seen?"

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

Xos nodded happy he wasn't being too much of a bother so far. Though, he did take note of the rested hand on the blaster, that was fair. He had just spoken through telepathy and had just arrived on a ship with no forewarning. He wouldn't blame anyone for their worry. But still, he'd smiled, so that was nice.

He paused for a moment to answer the question, folding his hands together in front of him at waist height, "Saw, and felt. I saw scorn of childhood, I saw assassination attempts, I felt pain pain, I saw someone coming to you, 'taking you in', so to speak, I saw you trying to prove yourself. And then, I began to feel your doubt of the darkness, as you grew to find those who were not of it. I saw your rejection of it, and escape from it. A Sith, rejecting his place and power. I felt and saw much and yet little of your story." The statement was followed by a gesture and a nod of almost respect it might seen, "That is truly a wonderful thing. I know you were not alone in your decision, not truly, but nevertheless. For many that is quite an impossible choice to make. Whether for fear of consequences, or...desire for what it gives, or can give."

He gestured to the blaster with one hand, "I promise, I mean no harm, but if you want to have it out, I will also take no offense. You don't need to be at the ready to use it. I'd much rather you feel comfortable you don't have to take it out if anything happens. May we sit down here? We can speak in my ship but...well there are others there and I don't want you to feel outnumbered. I believe I have been given another quest by the Force, it does so often speak to me, and the last time it did with importance I found a Jedi. I want to help you however I can Kahlil, I am the Master of the Baran Do order and one of our greatest works is the attempt for peace, both of the Galaxy, but also within our own hearts. And if I can help you in any way, I will do my best to do so."

He tried to keep as un-intimidating an appearance as he could, at least for a Kel Dor. With his mask on, it was certainly much less then it could have been. And his voice was kept soft and smooth as it often was.

It was a long speech, but [member="Xos"] was well worded in his approach. Everything he said made sense and didn't seem too earnest, so Kahlil moved his hand from his blaster, nodding once. "Sure. Want some Caf?" Once he got a yes or no the young man turned, heading back to where he was sitting. A small brewer rested nearby which he turned back on to either make himself one or both.

"Do you understand what it is my father did to me?" He didn't look up from the kettle, but he kept a keen ear out for the Kel Dor. How much did he actually know?

In the way Xos walked it was clear he was happy with Kahlil's reaction to what he had said, but he shook his head to the offer with a simple, "Thank you, but I'm afraid it's quite difficult to do so without breathing. Sorry." he said gesturing to his mask as he explained. That was one of the issues, certainly, he could do so. But there was always the danger behind it.

He came forwards, prepared to sit down crosslegged, and thought about the question posed to him for a moment, "I know there is a soul inside you, a piece rather, that should never have been put there. There was no right in that action." there was a good bit of sadness in the statement, as Xos eventually sat down, putting his hands upon his lap, "It was a most unexpected thing to...learn of. I am not familiar with the ways of the Sith, but still, such an action seemed most unnatural."

"Right, forgot." Kahlil never did have much experience with the more alien citizens of the galaxy. He poured himself a cup of caf which he began to sip at as [member="Xos"] answered his question. So the Kel Dor really did understand. Though, perhaps he didn't understand the contrasting emotions the young man had on the matter. The pride of being chosen by his father turned to a feeling of betrayal and hate.

And now just fear of loosing who he is.

"The Sith do weird things, that's for sure. But always with a purpose. What my father had in mind however I've no idea."

Xos shrugged off the forgetting about Kel Dor limitations. He never took offense about physical traits regarding his species, it would be unfair to those not a part of it. He nodded thoughtfully at Kahlil's next statement, "I'm afraid, for that, I know nothing." he admitted with a tap of one hand. He wanted to bring things slowly, don't put any pressure on the boy. He'd already been through plenty.

"But, for you, what purpose do you have now?" It was just as much a question as one he wanted Kahlil to answer himself, rather then just give a purpose, to find it, even if he did not do so now, "Without a goal, a form of stability in your heart, there is danger. I only wish to help with perhaps putting you where you could be without the darkness. Give you some peace to your soul, some strength to your heart."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"I figured you wouldn't. That's no issue." He turned his attention back to the fields, smiling faintly. "My times limited. Should my father wish it, I cease to exist. I thought I wanted to explore the stars, see the galaxy for myself and I'd be happy." The smile faded as Kahlil lowered his gaze. "I want to help this galaxy, for as long as I can. Protect the people I care about."

He lifted his gaze, staring directly to [member="Xos"] . There was a determination in his gaze, a fire. "I can't say it'll be peaceful, but I will stand against the darkness."

Xos tipped his head down, the mention of his father's ability to simply cause him to cease existing. It was an unfortunate situation to be in doubtless. And powerful though Xos may be, he did not believe he possessed the abilities to make any changes to that matter. Certainly not in the present. However, there was hope in other things.

Xos's joy in response to Kahlil saying he wished to help the galaxy and fight the darkness was practically tangible, almost rippling through the air itself. And he gave a nod, "Then I shall do all I can to help you do so. I can teach you all I teach the Sages of the Baran Do, the techniques and skills, but certainly the meditation. Give you what peace we can, or joy. I cannot say quite how much joy I get when people make decisions like this."

"I don't use the Force anymore, I think I should have started with that. My strength was sorcery. Dark magic that corrupts and kills. I don't know how else to use it." It's ultimately why he started learning other skills. Anything to make him at least helpful to his friend and mentor who risked so much by helping him escape the eye of the Sith. "But, if you can show me a different way, maybe I can use the power I do have to help." Kahlil sounded somewhat hopeful, smiling calmly to [member="Xos"] . Even if he couldn't, at least he had his blaster and piloting skills to fall back on.

Xos actually was somewhat surprised he had stopped using the force at first. But after a moment thought and as Kahlil explained the reason. It actually made a lot of sense. Xos himself had realized that some of the techniques he taught his students were not transferable to when they were using the dark side. And they would actually find themselves at a disadvantage if they tried to darken themselves.

With a breath in Xos looked up towards the boy for a moment, then again seemed quite joyful, "I will most certainly try."

He folded his hands together in his lap and breathed slowly, "If you'd like, we could...test something, right now, it is a test I like to do among my fellow Sages or students. See where they sit in the force in a way."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"If you have something that might work I'm more then willing to try it out. But don't be surprised if it's still quite dark. I'm not sure exactly how that changes, but I certainly haven't used it since I stopped using my spells." Kahlil eagerly nodded to [member="Xos"] , seeming quite intrigued at the idea of using the Force again, of course in a much more controlled manner. He followed the aliens posture, folding his hands in his lap and beginning to breath slowly.

"What do I need to do?"

Xos nodded, "We shall figure it out." he said in response to Kahlil's answer, watching as Kahlil mimicked his movement. Wonderful. His voice would come soft and smoothly, seeming to drift through the air like a whisper of the world itself more then as if it were sound, "Close your eyes, do not focus, just relax. As if you were on the edge of a splendid slumber. Let your mind and heart drift, don't try to control it yet. Let them wander of their own accord. Feel as they drift into their rightful places, as the universe seems to come into an order within you. As the Force speaks through to you, let it flow, let it come forth from you, and go forth into you without resistance. Feel as it lifts you into the air, as if all around you transforms into a cloud, a pillow with which you are brought into a calmer state. Forget your past, forget the future, think only of the peace. Only of the kindness of the force."

As Xos spoke, he himself would begin to rise off the ground by mere instinct, hovering above it in meditation as he spoke. Should Kahlil not face interruption upon it, and he be able to reach a state of peace or calm, even if imperfectly, and let the force flow and lift him, he too would rise even if he did not realize it was occurring. Along with various objects nearby, their number and size depending much on Kahlil's strength in the light side and his state of calm.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

Kahlil took a deep breath as [member="Xos"] began to instruct him, his eyes closed and his attention drifting. This was.. A new way for him to feel the Force. After months of forsaking his connection it took him some time, but soon enough that connection sparked. Instead of trying to grab it and bend to his will as he was taught as a Sith, he followed what the man had told him, letting the stream flow through him on it's own.

It was a foreign feeling, one that made Kahlil uncomfortable. But for now he trusted the alien, letting it take him where it would. His memories, his aspirations. He let it all fade away. Soon enough the young man was floating, though barely. His connection to the Light was limited by over a decade of bathing in the dark. There was still a long way to go.

Xos sensed [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] rise, and more importantly, he sensed where he lay on the 'spectrum' so to speak. He was not irredeemable from the dark, he had already made all the most important steps. Now it was more a matter of teaching him where to go now. He was strong in the force, though certainly more in the dark. But he believed Kahlil's will and choices were enough to turn him properly.

Again he spoke, calmly, opening his eyes just slightly to actually see the slight rise, "Now let it guide you, like being pulled by a river, or the way a leaf turns in the wind, all you need to do is angle yourself with it. Feel where we are, and lift, something, anything, it matters not. But let the force do it, all you have to do is guide it right now."

Later he would be able to properly learn how to do more difficult things, but for now, he had to make certain Kahlil could properly use the light side to preform actions yet. And this was the easiest way to test it. Even if it didn't work, he'd at least be able to understand more about Kahlil to better teach him. It required patience to learn this way, but it was far more calming then the harsh methods of the Sith.

Kahlil's brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to focus on what [member="Xos"] meant. He had let himself listen to the force for once, even let it flow through his being. But to let the Force guide him? It was a sense of surrender that no Sith was use to. They had been trained to do the opposite after all. His hands trembled as he tried to force himself to give in, but the back of his mind wasn't going to let him. Not easily at least.

After a while he let out a sigh, opening his eyes as he again sat on the ground. "I can't."

Xos felt Kahlil try, and felt as he eventually stopped. It wasn't entirely surprising. He nodded to himself calmly, setting himself down properly, "That's quite alright. With as much time as you've spent among the Sith, you may just not be quite ready yet to go that far." his voice was entirely non-judgmental. Even plenty of early students, not corrupted by a past of darkness, could have trouble surrendering themselves to the force the way he asked.

"We can work towards it, over time. I wouldn't want to try and rush it. It is no flippant thing to traverse from dark to light, though the opposite has certainly been far easier for far to many. We can take our time, meditation alone is a good step. And the more you do it, the more you let the light side flow through you, the sooner and easier you'll find you can guide the force as the force can eventually guide you." he waved a hand aside calmly, "But there is no need to rush."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Meditation hmm?" Kahlil mumbled as he let out a sigh. Time wasn't exactly on his side, but at the same time [member="Xos"] made it clear he wasn't going to be able to rush it. The ex-Sith leaned back on the ground, staring up at the sky as he thought on the Master's words. It really was easy to fall from the light. "Someone I met told me to seek out the Silvers. That they might be able to help. I plan to. I need to be able to fight against my father and my family so I can protect those I care about."

He glanced to Xos curiously as he finished speaking, wondering just what he'd think of what Khalil had said.
