First Order: A Land After Time [Dominion of G'Rho]

Mishel didn't quite get a chance to respond to [member="Zmej Ren"] properly, she followed the blonde into the fray doing her best to either force crush or choke those she could but with one hand it was quite troublesome. Worse, some of the mob diverted toward her forcing her to throw up a wall of fire to defend herself. She felt pain as talons dug at a chunk of flesh in her upper right shoulder. It forced her to her knees, where an animalistic growl could be heard emanating from her throat the familiar hiss of her lightsaber and the smell of Saurian flesh burning was all that was needed to know that the teenager had killed yet another one. She switched into Djem So chopping sloppily with one hand while the other - albeit a stump of a limb would have to be used to channel the force. When she looked back to find Zmej all she could hear was her sister giving her an order, the cloak of pain still on the girl approached the armoury and looked down at Zmej. Grabbing the blonde knight with one hand she pulled her back and began to use force healing to try and ease some of Zmej's pain, with the armory open Mishel had to come up with a plan and as of now her plan was simple. "Keep her still," Mishel told @Samka Derith as she walked into the armory.

Now was the time to remember how to do this, how to use these weapons and with one hand she wasn't sure if she could. Instead she took a few steps back and focused on her pain, focused on the damage to her body recalling the moment her hand was ripped from her. She was pulling on her reserves, as a forceborn she had a larger pool of force reserve than her siblings and even now that limit was being put to the test. Her hand outstretched she focused, and channeled her energy fire flew forward from her hands into a fifteen-foot cone, Mishel's mind dug for the words of Seiger Ren to keep her inspired and to keep her fire going. The painkillers were starting to wear off as she could feel the oxygen making content with her open wound. Another shout and scream and then she heard someone calling her, opening her eyes she saw that the armory was about to go. "I believe the time to escape is now."

Captain's Log, Supplemental

Our ongoing scans of the G'Rho system are meeting Professor Starali's needs. His grant depends on better astrometric analysis of the Shiritoku Spur, especially in light of the nearby Ssi-Ruuvi advances. I've assured him that we can collect much of his future data at range, using shuttles to deploy civilian-grade Naboo probes.

In the meantime, we've encountered an unusual person. I'm unable to stick any firm labels to them, but I've asked them to join me in the conference room. I'm hoping they can provide insight on this remote area. It might help keep the shuttle deployments safer.

***
The conference and briefing room aboard the civilian science frigate Shamballa wouldn't have been out of place at a high-end university. Refreshments included ice water, hot caf, an assortment of small baked goods, and fresh exotic fruit from the Shamballa's recent visit to the markets of Sor Yusan. Ashin, a tall woman wearing an off-white uniform, sipped ice water behind the table and waited for her guest.

G'Rho Space.

Aboard the S.S. Shamballa.

The time one would question life itself would most likely be in a particularly peculiar situation. Questions of why, when, or who. But alas, the questioning of one's self was the most applicable in this context, rather, it was the query of the world around them and what was in it. Years of standby and darkness, the unknown of what the future would hold or if any future would come at all was the last thing The Hound thought before sacrificing themselves out of the fact that an apprentice would succeed them.

Even during the era of the Rule of Two, Sith did not abide by rites of passage fairly. Even the art of escaping death's grasp was not completely foreign, if at all. The only thing The Hound understood was that he had been helping a group known as the First Order. Other than that, he hadn't the smallest inkling of what they were, or why they had so willingly accepted him. Their ideologies were so foreign, appalling even.

What had happened to the galaxy? Did Darth Bane's teachings not bear any fruit? The Hound felt so lost, so confused. What happened to the Sith of old?

But from hereon, only answers could be obtained through further questions fallen upon the correct ears. And that's exactly what was needed. Upon being requested to meet with one [member="Ashin Karrde"], The Hound was escorted by a pair of guardsmen, walking him to the room where a conference was supposed to be taking place. On arrival, the ancient Sith walked slowly into the room in utter silence, unaware of what to do in such a surreal setting.

By half a decade of habit, Ashin concealed her Force presence, muting the Dark Side and making herself seem to be an untrained Force-sensitive. As she recognized the Dark Side in the cyborg, though, she opted to unmask her cold, hard presence in the Force, just for a moment. As messages go, it was fairly unmistakable. The brief unveiling also served to determine just how skilled her visitor might be: whether they'd be able to discern the source and nature of the chill that had just swept the room. She had no fear of being sensed by others. She'd made fairly sure that she knew the midichlorian count and training status of every crewer and academic aboard the Shamballa. A few might feel a deeper chill than others, but that was pretty much it. And they might easily attribute it to the visitor.

"Have a seat, if you like, or try the refreshments. The Dosuuni beignets are delicious." She took a long sip of ice water and set the glass aside. "I'm Captain Ashin Karrde. Welcome aboard the civilian science frigate Shamballa. I have some questions about this region, if you're amenable."

[member="Ashin Karrde"]

The Hound stared daggers into the woman before him as he took a chair opposite of her direction, remaining silent as he felt the sudden ping in the Force. What was she? And why hide such a power? Whomever she truly was, it was not simply a captain of a science frigate. "I know nothing if what you're asking, Captain. I was discovered by the First Order, ever sine then, I've been used like another gun to an arsenal. As to why I'm even on this very ship is a wonder."

Irritation and razors laced the words of the man sitting before the Captain, clearly disgruntled. He stood from his seat, pacing the room for a moment before stopped by thought. "What has become of this galaxy? And what gives you the right to exist? Clearly things have gone very wrong, the truths of Darth Bane have been broken along with all of the promise to annihilate the Jedi. And here I am... too weak to do anything as of right now."

The ancient entity wanted so badly to lash out and hijack the ship, to slaughter everyone in it to sate a thirst that hasn't been quenched in nearly two millennia. But of course, the very factor of time itself was lost to the banite.

Shell after shell soared from the edge of the forest and the Stormtrooper lines into the midst of the Ssi-Ruuk reinforcements within the ruined base. Great explosions and plumes of flame, earth, building materials, metal, and smoke filled the air around and above the base. Pharazon and the rest of the Stormtroopers of the 189th watched the horrific display through their helmet binoculars, ruthlessly evaluating the impact of their barrage on their saurian enemies, with Pharazon and his lieutenants dispassionately assessing when they should end the barrage and finish off this set of reinforcements. Pharazon and his Stormtroopers were ready, blasters fitted with fresh packs, wounds patched up and armour once again secured and battle ready.

Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. The mortar crews were demonstrating their skill, discipline, and efficiency near to the point of artistry in the speed of their loading and targeting of the mortars. A massive explosion once again rocked the ruined base. The shuttle… good Pharazon thought darkly, one more grand display to keep the saurians away from the more covert missions taking place elsewhere on the planet. Pharazon signalled for one final barrage. A courus of thumps and distant explosions sounded in response. Then there was one final thump, one final explosion. The mortars fell silent, the ruins were aflame once more, once more smoke and earth plumed into the sky.

Once more Pharazon and his Stormtroopers surged up the hill toward the once proud base.

The First Order's barrage that rained down upon the base the 189th let loose was beautiful, if such a thing could be called that. From the stormsniper's position it was almost like an Imperial Day fireworks display the spirited Corellisi had witnesses when first arriving on Dosuun soon after her stint with the Commonwealth before it went quietly into the night.

The former CWMC sniper had yet to fully feel at home amongst her peers in the Imperial faction, though Sash hadn't expected to right away. She wasn't born and bred to be one of them, rather her Corellian heritage had made the redhead a bit of a rebel though none the less loyal and dutiful to those that garnered her skills formally obtained at the CorSec Academy before her homeworld was no more. Well at least in it former glorious self that was near and dear to her heart.

It was time to change locations so Sasha slowly moved backwards on her armored belly from her position amongst an outcropping of rocks and trees, careful not to make sudden movements to give herself away to an enemy with her sniper rifle in its drop bag for ease. The camouflage hooded poncho worn over the white scout trooper armor helped to blend into the natural surroundings. Plus the use of some sprays of juvica, a scrubby bush native to G'rho, were adorning her First Order attire.

A snap of a twig stilled Sasha in her place, but not before her gloved hand slid down her right side to find the grip of the SE-44C blaster pistol holstered on her thigh. It would be hard to see the scout trooper, but not impossible if one knew what to look for.

Soaring silently above the research facility of the Ssi-ruuk below, Task Force 717 prepared for its silent descent upon the facility. A simple smash 'n' grab operation conducted during the night. Task Force 717 was a mix-and-match unit of different military departments. Its leaders and responsible for its formation - The FOSB.

Falkrowe had been tasked to lead the eight men unit due to his experience as a recon stormtrooper before.

The plan was simple. Tether down to the roof, break the exit open and storm the facility. Silently dispatching everyone was priority due to the fact that the FOSB was here to acquire a particular set of assets that the Ssi-ruuk had been successfully denying them by wiping out all databases.

This time it would't happen.

"Tethering down in 3. 2. 1."

The unit jumped, their black stealth armor attached to a tether on the vessel to land smoothly on the roof.

The armour that Cassius sported was different from what he usually wore, but the unusually tall and muscular looking Eldorai sported it all the same. There was a mixture of both Auxiliary, FOSB, and Army units in the eight man team, led by the Special Agent. None of them had seen each other's faces, all of them wearing helmets from the moment they came into contact with each other.

The order had come in that it was time to tether down.

Cassius nodded, more to himself than anything as he locked his harness.

3. 2. 1.

He dropped, right behind the leader, wicked metal sword strapped across his back and a heavy blaster pistol upon his waist as they descended.

Follow the leader.

The modified plasma torch sliced through the door's security without raising alarms and the men went in.

Nightvision on.

"Silencers on." Jude whispered through the radio comm and tightened the silencer on his slug. Those with blasters had to insert the modified tibanna gas mix canister that made the bolts invisible and silent.

"We want the power down first. Intel says left, right and then the turbolift do-" Jude began explaining when three Saurians appeared in front of them.

Quick. Fire.

Research Facility.

Sword was out in hand as soon as the three hostiles appeared before them. They had to be quick in taking them out, else they'd sound the alarm. The Force seized control of his normal, earthly movements. He lunged forwards, sword slicing through the chest of the first saurian before curving downwards out of its body, only to come back and rend flesh and bone as the blade tore leg from body.

Cassius's sword glistened with blood while the other two were systematically shot down as well.

At that point, Cassius was the furthest ahead.

Left, right, and then turbolift down.

The Eldorai Captain forged forwards.

The Ssi-ruuk fell without raising an alarm and the unit proceeded as silently as possible.

A door slid open to their left forcing everyone to stop. Armed goons. Two men of the unit approached silently the goons as the doors closed and broke their necks professionally.

It was common sense that the bodies were dragged in the room they came from along with those that were previously shot and their slicer made sure the door wouldn't open again.

The unit reached the turbolift only to find it completely disabled.

"Tythax, use the fusion cutter to open up a hole in the lift so we can tether to the floor below."

The Captain did as he was ordered to do easily.

The fusion cutter being handed down the line of operatives and to the lead warrior and he began cutting the ideal size for a hole for the average being. Chop chop, burn, burn, melt and melt.

And then he was using the Force to pull the cut metal sheet out of the lift doors so that it didn't fall and create a bunch of noise.

Huh.

He slipped in first, reconnecting his harness to the ledge just below the lift before he threw himself down.

The Eldorai was swift with his task as he was with his blade. Jude gaped at the hole that was open to reveal only darkness. He hated turbolift shafts.

Nonetheless, the task force was quick to attach themselves to the lift and tether down to the floor below. Their slicer made quick work of the shut turbolift door but this time even silence could not help them as a Ssi-ruuk stood just in front of the doors as they opened.

He was just about to scream and perhaps only the Eldorai's blade could make the quickest work here.

And so it did.

The force enhanced blade ripped through scales, the standard sized Ssi-ruuk being six foot, an entire foot shorter than the Eldorai as his blade took its head clean off. Pulling the body into the lift as well, the Eldorai Captain stepped out of the lift in front of the slicer, his larger body being used as a meat shield and alchemized blade in hand.

He reached out into the Force, he could feel life ahead.

Straight down the hall.

"This way," he muttered into the comms to pick up.

Blood gushed from the stabbing lethal wound that Tythax had delivered upon the Ssi-ruuk. The enemy had lost the ability to raise the alarms meaning the unit was good to go.

The holoprojector lit up from his wrist datapad to give him the directions. Down the corridor, turn right at the intersection and...an energy field.

This was not part of intel.

"Tythax, find a way to disable this field. The rest set up positions so we have eyes all around us. Dispatch only those that see us or get too close. Leave the rest." Falkrowe ordered as he got on one knee and aimed his slug around waiting for any Ssi-ruuk to appear too close to their circle.

And then they ran across an energy field, and the Eldorai paused in his actions. He may have been able to use a fusion cutter to cut through metal, a sword to take life, but how was he supposed to disable an energy field. The warrior paused as he looked up and down, reaching out with a hand to feel it, the shock that ran through the armour stung, and he shook his hand in response.

"I see," he whispered to himself.

He raised his head up to the ceiling and paused.

This stealth mission would no longer be one of stealth after he finished his thoughts.

It'd be a race against time.

There were shield projectors in the ceiling and the surrounding walls, he removed a breaching charge from his pouch and began setting it up along the nearest wall, right next to the projectors. He offered a nod to Jude as if to say 'here goes nothing' and then he turned around, and the charge blew up.

Karking great.

The idiot went with karking up the whole stealth plan. Well, the energy field was down but now they had to freaking storm the designated room before they could wipe out the data.

The Ssi-ruuk immediately dashed towards the room but a hail of slugs and bolts from the unit tore them down.

"All guns blazing, guys. Shoot everything that moves." It was a hard and tough order. Despite his distaste for the Ssi-Ruuk due to their inhumane techologies he still felt bad ordering the deaths of so many living beings.

Just like on Omega.

"Tythax, you're ahead of us. Get in that room I am transmitting to your datapad and let none of them inside be able to wipe out the core files." He ordered to the Eldorai over the radio comm.

Kaboom.

Time to move.

The words that came over the comm were ones that he already assumed would come to him. His DataPad beeped, and he pressed a button on the outside of it to transfer it to the HUD Feed in his helmet as he ran into the room.

There were both slave soldiers and their lizard masters in the room.

A mixture of both the Force and his blade made do of them, and soon there were bodies littering the floor, but also smoking holes in the Eldorai's armour.

He was struck, multiple times, but he forged onwards. There was a mission to complete.

"Got it," he said as he began downloading the files to the DataPad.

Modifications allowed it to be the variety that sported large compressed files. Encrypted too.

It was done.

Quick as it was supposed to be.

Even if they had karked up thanks to the Eldorai's idea of blowing up an energy field, Task Force 717 proved capable enough to handle the situation. It was a good day for the FOSB and for the First Order. Task Force 717's operation was able to gather important technological data of the Ssi-Ruuk. Something they were seeking for so long but ultimately failed. Now they had a core of data, key data, important intelligence, technological advancements and research.

The First Order had the complete capability of eradicating the Ssi-ruuk thread once and for all along with utilizing the Ssi-ruuk's technological advancements to their own cause.

Today was a good day.

And Jude needed a cigarette. He hated Direct Action ops.
