First Order Economic & Commerce Summit [Invite]

Lan gave the Moff a slight bow, nothing so deep as to encroach upon her personal space as he was much taller than most baseline humans. He smiled congenially as she mentioned the travel.

"The honor is all mine, Moff Fortan. Seeing commerce thrive in this part of the galaxy behooves us all and the First Order is a stabilizing presence that helps keep consumer confidence up."

His slightly nasally voice was somewhat deeper than expected, and his attention pulled from her a moment to look over the guests of the cocktail reception, before he continued.

"You have brought together some very notable names with these proceedings and our support of this summit is just as important for the Banking Clan as well. If there is anything we can do to help others then the trip was a small cost to gain so much more for all involved. Wouldn't you agree?"

Chairman Porgata sipped his brandy neatly, as Eon gave him a private message but the momentary distraction did not take his attention from her for too long before he continued in a quieter tone.

"We would also be interested in discussing the current economic state of the First Order itself, at a later date should it be necessary. I believe there is much we can do to help each in these trying times."

Governments could be invested in just as companies could and the government of the First Order could be seen as a worthy haven for investment dollars allowing them to continue their work in this region of the galaxy.

“Well, then! We will certainly be waiting to see what you have in store for us, Ms. Brentioch.” Jean Paul grinned at her. A moment later, Jean Paul downed the contents of his champagne. “If you will excuse me, ladies... my flute seems to have run dry.”

Marzena’s gaze shifted to Jean Paul, watching curiously as he smoothed his blonde hair back, and made haste in the direction of a waiter. The waiter stepped away, revealing a group of men in First Order uniforms, likely junior officers. Oh, goodness. She tore her eyes away from Jean Paul and returned her attention to Valessia and Claire.

“There are so many boutiques I’d like to show you here in Cloud City.” She said with a nod to [member="Claire Organa"]. The city boasted some of the best restaurants around too, and Marzena did have a few favorites. Her favorite place to eat was Fleur de Lys, owned by the well-known Chef Rubert Keller. “Perhaps we can escape for a quick lunch tomorrow and I can show you around. Ms. Brentioch, you are welcome to join us, of course.” She smiled brightly to Valessia.

“Who knows, you may even find the perfect space to open a branch of Contessa.” Marzena took a sip of champagne, grinning down into her flute for a moment. If she brought it up a few more times, perhaps Claire would give in. She also hoped that [member="Valessia Brentioch"] was planning to put down roots in First Order space. With a momentary lull in conversation, she let her eyes wander about the room once more, it seemed to be full of guests, and there were still some arriving. Among them she spotted a woman in a stunning evening gown, followed closely by a tall woman with flame hued hair.

Her eyes once again found [member="Natasi Fortan"], now speaking with a Muun.

“Ms. Brentioch, if you don’t mind me asking,” She turned slightly, “Who is that woman? I’m afraid I haven’t had a chance to introduce myself to her yet.”

skin, bone, and arrogance
Natasi returned the bow, without much concern about encroaching on the Muun's personal space, for she was not nearly so tall. This one was difficult to read, but having no intelligence to suggest that he was anything to be concerned about, Natasi determined that she could safely be cautiously optimistic about his presence here. "Yes," she murmured. "It is rather diverse, isn't it? I'd like to think that the First Order should appeal to any corporate interests. After all, what is best for business interests than stability, order, and profitability?" She smiled at the assembled group before looking back up to the Muun.

"I'd be delighted, truly," Natasi said graciously. "In fact, tomorrow one of the breakout sessions will be one-on-one meetings with First Order officials to discuss privately the interests of summit attendees." She inclined her head gracefully. "If you have no objections, I will ensure that your delegation is on my list to meet with so that we have some uninterrupted time." She smiled pleasantly. "I'm the meantime, is there anything you need? Any particular dietary preferences you have?" She was not aware of any particular needs for Muun generally, but [member="Lan Porgata"] was the Chairman of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, and he seemed amenable to a financial relationship, so if he wanted Natasi to peel grapes and serve them on a silver spoon she smelted herself, then damn it, Natasi would find a forge.

Dunames then sets off on a course to approach Anna, while Jessica moved away from her to meet with other company representatives. She learned enough about the condition of the other dark-sided factions' economies, despite Jessica's claims not to be able to juggle political risks. On her way through, however, she passed through a throng of other attendees, most of which she already spoke to, and obtained their cards. She saw a Neimoidian, whom she overheard one of his kind inquiring about the relative economic strength of the First Order relative to other dark-sided factions. Dunames decided to do business with the First Order because to her, power is just a means to an end, and not an end in itself as it would seem to be the case for the Sith-led factions.

"I believe you are a member of the Aurum-Saccs delegation. My name is Dunames Lopez, and I represent Star Tours. I think I overheard another member of the delegation inquiring about the relative economic strength of the First Order compared to other dark-sided factions"

"That is correct, although to be fair, light and dark-sided factions seem mostly to designate on which side of the Force their military leadership lies"

"Most dark-sided factions seem to focus more on military might and atrocities than actually developing an economic base, especially the One Sith. The Sith Triumvirate seems to have put little economic effort, and of the main dark-sided factions, the First Order is the one that actually does anything about economy. Of course, the light-sided economic powerhouses, Silver Sanctum and Galactic Alliance, are not to be trifled with, and the Mandalorians are economically inept, too"

"This is information my master would perhaps wish to have" the Neimoidian responded.

"We need to streamline bureaucratic procedures within reason. That is not to say to do away with banking regulations entirely, just that some of these regulations seem to be a straitjacket more than of any real protection. And a demilitarized zone between the Galactic Alliance and the First Order is rumored to be introduced in this summit"

Hope this Gungan will actually make it to Alliance Intelligence, she thought. She heard rumors that documents outlining the demilitarized zone project fell into Galactic Alliance hands after being seized on Eriadu by Alliance customs. Knowing the Gungan she is referring to, he would find the demilitarized zone the juiciest tidbit in these documents, more than any count of graft, corruption or embezzlement that these documents may have recorded. And Alliance customs can be a little... incompetent in handling diplomatic suitcases.

Maelion’s eyes scanned the room as she took a drink from a tray. HRDs were designed so they could eat and drink, blend in with those around them.

She had a list of important persons within the First Order, so naturally they would seek these persons out first. There was little point talking with low level functionaries after all!

Her eyes picked out one of their potential figures of interest; a certain Natasi Fortan, and made her way towards the Moff.

She was talking with a Muun, but Maelion patiently waited to be acknowledged.

A brief wireless transmission to Callisto let her know about the importance of this target for Archangel’s goals, but also authorised her companion to seek out other targets if any of interest appeared.

Valessia Brentioch

"That my dear is Moff Fortan." Valessia beams, "and I would be more than delighted to join you in the future. Why don't I contact you when I've had a better look at my schedule." She reassures Ms. Choi, "and it has been a pleasure to meet you Ms. Organa, and I would most look forward to seeing both of you again either here or elsewhere."

From there Valessia politely excuses herself. She makes notes of the new people who have gathered and thinks to at least look them up on the holonet later. Checking her time the Bretaalan looks to her guards. "I believe we've spent our due time here, shall we return to our suite?" They don't respond without so much of a blank look, Valessia sighs and makes her exit of the cocktail lounge. She mingled as she had planned to if she was prudent for the next two days then perhaps she could make off with a rather major investment.

Upon return to her suite, she kicked off her heels and began to take off her earrings. Guards at the door. "Edra, Cin." Her voice rings out but there's nothing. "Edr- Paddy!" She gasps seeing her personal droid broken and glitching. "Paddy." And as she kneels, she sees a set of boots. A reflection on the well-polished floor of her suite and as she glances up she can see behind this figure that Edra and Cin remain unharmed. "Vinors'tahl." She exaggerates the last syllable. "What are you-"

"Shhh." He places a finger to her lips and the tip of a blaster pistol to her side. "Is that any way to treat your big brother?" Vinny sneers. He moves a hand to her chin grabbing, moving her face so that they can see each other eye to eye. "Now why don't we, take your little friends." Vinny kicks at Paddy's metal carcass, violently - sending the poor thing into various directions. Valessia flinches but tries to keep her guard. "And you, and that precious ship of yours back home? A Brentioch family reunion."

He releases her and turns the second pistol on Edra who had scrambled to grab a weapon. "Nah ah, don't even think about it, alien scum. Why my sister continues her affair with you I'll never understand." He charges the pistol, "so why don't I put you and this horned-freak out of your misery now."

"Vinny stop!" Valessia demands, "just stop. We'll go home, we'll see mother and father, but you will cease and desist immediately." She stretches her arm out and just as she had on Togoria a ripple of power sent Vinny flying the blaster discharged and struck Edra. "Edra!"

"Karkin'." Edra muttered with a knee to the ground, "gonna be real glad that new armor of yours is panning out, but on the flip side - it doesn't get rid of the burn." All three women turned to see where Vinny had landed, it appeared that his head hit the corner of a bookshelf and then the ground. For the time being, he would be subdued, leaving Valessia with little choice but to grab him and head back to Brentaal IV and sort out whatever nonsense he'd gotten himself into, or discern whatever Vinny had up his sleeve. "Fething abyss of a brother of yours, he'd been workin' as some junk guy. Didn't even know it was him till he took Paddy apart, poor kid."

Cin had walked toward Paddy and looked at all the parts. "If you got parts at your place, pretty sure we can get Paddy back together." There was a nod from Valessia. Cin grabbed a box from nearby and began to place Paddy's parts in them.

Sighing with relief. "It's a rough draft, Edra." Valessia turned to see where the 'guards,' had been and sneered when she noticed they had fled. "Also, next time. I'm hiring the guards. Edra, grab him. Cin I'll help you get Paddy." A pause. "Then we're going home, the long way around."

Notes: Valessia's exit from the thread, please refrain from tagging her here, thank you.

Claire nodded and smiled listening more than anything she understood that was an Organa trait listening, a Moff, how fascinating she wondered if she needed a new wardrobe.

She looked at [member="Marzena Choi"] , "Oh a place here you say" Well you know it might be worth it, but what would it do to her standings with other customers would they be put off thinking her a collaborator of sorts. Nahh it's just clothes. She would speak to some of her advisors and see their opinion.

"I look forward to meeting with you again Ms. [member="Valessia Brentioch"] " A warm smile for Claire was genuinely interested in meeting with the woman again, and that left her alone with Marzena. "Did I scare all your friends away Marzena?" She knew she hadn't she was just making light of how quickly everyone disappeared

Dunames Lopez

Megalomaniac CEO of Star Tours
After Dunames was done talking to the Aurum-Saccs people, rather than to go for the Archangel people as originally planned, she'd rather huddle back to Marzena. This time around, Marzena was alone with another person that Dunames only heard about through the HoloNet. But she seemed to be there for some sort of fashion reason.

"I am Dunames Lopez, from Star Tours. Perhaps you never heard about the Lipstick Express, and I know that, for many people, cosmetics and clothing go hand-in-hand. With the Lipstick Express, Lipsec is now on the fashion world radar, at least dark-sided. Claire, you may also want to ask Anastasia Volzhin if you need a spot in First Order fashion shows: her tariffs may be a little high, but she used to be a star of the runways on Coruscant"

But Marzena did fly on the Lipstick Express's maiden flight, after all. Although Anastasia is a little idiotic around alcohol, man does she have talent for modeling. Most models of lesser stature find it difficult to get commercial modeling work on equal footing outside of the Force-alignment of their home base, i.e. a dark-sider (in the commercial modeling world, light and dark sides of the Force are labels applied to models, locations and, well, just about anything) will have to make it big in dark-sided territory before they can think of hitting equally prestigious runways in light-sided territory, and vice-versa. That is, a model is branded a dark-sider if their professional debut was made in dark-sided territory and vice-versa.

"Just don't give her access to alcohol, and you'll be fine. Oh and on Lipsec, you may also want to take a look at the Galactic Cosmetics Museum and its ongoing campaign to fund reconstruction of four additional buildings in order to house the clothing and fashion accessories of a thousand generations, using blueprints dating back to the pre-Gulag era"

Marzena Vaas

Guest
Marzena’s gaze remained on Natasi Fortan for a short moment longer. At least now she knew that the woman held a position in the First Order government, Marzena had the feeling that she was an important figure. It was a point quite apparent by the way the guests seemed to be queuing up to speak with her. She offered Ms. Brentioch a nod and a smile as she excused herself, and she watched her form swept away gracefully.

She took another small sip of champagne as she and Claire stood alone. Jean Paul was still busy making conversation across the room, she could see him speaking boisterously and laughing. Marzena let a small chuckle escape when Claire teased about frightening her friends away. It seemed that conversation would always wax and wane at such social gatherings. But they would not be left to their own devices for very long.

“Good evening, Ms. Lopez,” Marzena said with a small smile, “It’s nice to see you again.”

It seemed that the two ran into each other quite often lately. However, she knew that Dunames had likely approached to speak with Claire. Marzena had already visited the Lipstick Express, and had even filmed a HoloAd for their tour on Lipsec.

“Anastasia Volzhin?” Marzena repeated the model’s name. Had she been that intoxicated woman at the Grand Theatre’s masquerade? Having worked around models many times previously, she knew that many were weak when it came to their vices. She would reserve any judgements for a later time. “I look forward to meeting her.”

Marzena waved down a waiter to take away her empty champagne flute and stood back to let Claire and Dunames converse.

[member="Dunames Lopez"], [member="Claire Organa"]

"That would be most helpful, Moff Fortan. I look forward to the chance to get to know your people better."

He pulled his dark eyes from her to glance around the room, briefly wetting his lips as he mused on the proper words to describe the gathering. He looked down to her and smiled, softly and touched that she could ask about their diets.

"We have been well received by the facility here and it seems they are quite versed in our cultural needs. I can assure you, we're very comfortable and pleased with everything thus far. I believe my associates are looking forward to some rest this evening in order to be fresh for their meetings in the morning. I thank you for the hospitality. May you feel as welcomed should you ever come to Muunilinst. I shan't take up more of your time this evening. Cheers."

He bowed again to her, and stepped aside, giving her an opening to excuse herself. She must be a busy woman and there was much to be seen to at an event such as this. Lan sipped his brandy, letting the heavy burn of the alcohol slide down his throat. He was curious what the morrow would bring him but patient as always.

Eon checked the schedule and made a few notes to pull some files on the First Order so that he could refresh his memory for the relevant information at the First Order meeting. Lan hadn't told him to, but he knew his boss would ask for them regardless.

"Cheers," Natasi said to [member="Lan Porgata"], though she had no drink, and instead returned his bow. "Very nice to meet you in person. I look forward to our discussions tomorrow. If you'll excuse me..." She turned gracefully, caught the eye of the bartender who nodded and almost immediately dispatched a gin and tonic her way. She collected it off the tray a handful of moments later, catching sight of [member="Marzena Choi"] eyeing her again. Something icy and green clutched at her insides, but conversely her cheeks grew hot. She didn't linger, instead looking down and to the side demurely; after all there were others waiting to see her, but she felt the moment of reckoning approaching, and idly wondered how much of a horse's ass she was going to look like. It depended, she supposed, on how much their mutual friend had shared.

"It's Ms. Comnena, isn't it?" Natasi asked [member="Maelion Liates"] as she approached, extending her free hand in greeting. "With Archangel R&D, if I'm not mistaken. We're very pleased you could make it." She glanced at [member="Callisto Scarlett"] and offered a polite nod of greeting. "Natasi Fortan, First Order. Is there anything either of you might need, that might make your stay more comfortable?"

[member="Dunames Lopez"] | [member="Marzena Choi"]

Claire nodded and smiled her greeting at Ms. Lopez, "Lipstick Express, I've heard of it actually. It quite intriguing to me the pairing of cosmetics and fashion. Marzena of course is a prime example of how wonderful the two look together" She winked at her friend. Claire worked with some models they were a key part of her company.

"Anastasia Volzhin love the name, would love to meet the model" She noticed that Marzena held back just a bit, was the model a risk? She didn't know she looked back to Ms. Lopez, "Perhaps you have a couple of makeup artists who can show me their work, maybe they can help at the next fashion week."

She would recommend them to a few of the designers she was working on a few items for the next show. If she didn't stay competitive she'd lose out.

Dunames Lopez

Megalomaniac CEO of Star Tours
"When I said earlier that Anastasia shouldn't be given access to alcohol, you'll understand why if I told you that she is now in hospital because she drank 37 servings of scotch in one go during that masquerade. She is open to visits so long as you do not possess press credentials. Be warned that, even without press credentials, the lineup at Bespin General Hospital is long. But she blamed the mask for limiting her ability to drink: she claimed at the time that she would - need - to drink an entire Nar Shaddaa-standard bottle (1.75 L) of scotch (or another 40% ABV spirit) or a case of beer before trouble occurs. I drank three servings of scotch from that very bottle she drank from that night: normally Nar Shaddaa-standard bottles are good for 40 servings"

And if her recollections are correct, Anastasia was also suggested to open a shop on Nar Shaddaa if she could replicate that feat without a mask, knowing that Nar Shaddaa residents respect people and species with drinking ability. But alcohol was Anastasia's weak spot, more than ships, clothing, homes or anything of that sort. She had just finished moving to Lanteeb from Dulvoyinn that she already gets into trouble for alcohol: dark-sided tabloids love to exalt (or prey upon) her ability to drink, which could even surpass those of Zeltrons or Devaronians.

"She is renowned galaxy-wide for her extraordinary ability to drink alcohol: 40 servings of scotch can kill all three of us if we drank that much the way she did that night. But, for 200-300k credits, plus the costs of any makeup artists, she can appear during a fashion week wearing another clothing line than her own. The team of Taking Off on a Star Tour inquired about the cost of her appearing on that magazine for the First Order's advertisement contract, whereby she would have the full-page allotment on this week's issue all to herself"

Maelion shook the hand firmly, but carefully too. With a grip that could crush bone and flesh the key was to do things delicately, showing neither weakness or unnatural strength.

“That’s right, and this is my associate Callisto Scarlett. She is my aide and secretary,” Maelion said.

“We thank you for the invite, Moff Fortan, we are very interested in investigating business opportunities with the First Order, and we have a wide array of products which might interest you.”

She sipped more of her champagne. “We follow the news of course, but are you able to give us any idea of what products you may be interested in? We have a great variety of military and non-military products.”
She produced a datapad and offered it, though Ms Fortan may have gathered their product list previously from elsewhere.

Callisto gave the Lady a polite nod. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Moff Fortan. This is an impressive soiree. We've been very satisfied with the service here. We understand that you're rather busy and would be ready to discuss potential business opportunities at a later date in a more private setting, if that is more convenient for you," she said smoothly. After all, the Moff had to deal with plenty of things, aside from acting as hostess. Like various bureaucratic duties.

"We believe Archangel could put down roots in First Order space and that a partnership could benefit both entities." This would also give Natasi time to familiarise herself with Archangel's portfolio if she was interested.

skin, bone, and arrogance
Natasi shook hands pleasantly and accepted the datapad in her free hand once released. "Thank you," she said, activating the screen, where she reviewed the company's offerings. "My, but you do offer quite a variety," she said with a smile at [member="Maelion Liates"], and then to [member="Callisto Scarlett"]. "I won't pretend to be a grand military strategist or to be able to ascertain their needs, but certainly I can circulate a list of your goods to see if there is anything in particular that might suit." She handed back the datapad and added with a tight smile. "Naturally I'll print it on flimsi instead of passing your datapad around." She took a sip of her gin and tonic, then wrapped her other hand around it.

"The non-military applications are promising as well," Natasi admitted. "Some of my department heads are here tonight. I'll ask them to speak to you during the summit and explore their needs. And of course, we are committed to creating a business-friendly environment in First Order space which we believe would lead to great dividends for both the First Order and businesses that set up shop here." The Moff inclined her head in recognition to Callisto's point. "I'd be pleased to meet with you privately. We have an entire session blocked off for one-on-one meetings tomorrow afternoon. I'll arrange for us to meet then." She smiled broadly. "If you'll excuse me, there are others I must welcome. Do enjoy your stay, and let me or any of the staff know if there's anything at all you need."

Natasi bowed respectfully and stepped away. There were no other industrialists waiting, that she could see, and so she strode across to where [member="Marzena Choi"] was standing, somewhat separated from [member="Claire Organa"] and [member="Dunames Lopez"]. Her mouth turned suddenly dry halfway through the walk, and she swallowed anxiously as she finally came within arms' length of the celebrity singer. Natasi summoned a smile, inclining her head stiffly. "Hello, Miss Choi. I'm Natasi Fortan," she heard herself say. How had she managed to make herself sound so pleasant? "The committee was -- so pleased -- that you agreed to be here. Thank you."

Marzena Vaas

“Oh, Claire,” Marzena said with a soft laugh, “I’m very flattered.”

How she adored compliments. She knew that [member="Claire Organa"] was always in the market for models, they seemed to come and go in the fashion business. One day you’re in, and the next day you’re out. Marzena’s eyes took on a critical gaze when [member="Dunames Lopez"] mentioned that Ms. Volzhin was currently being hospitalized for over indulging. Was it a good thing to be renowned for being an extraordinary drinker? She was inclined to think that it was a liability. Especially when one lived in the public eye, reputations were best kept clean, in her opinion.

“Well, please send our well wishes along to Ms. Volzhin.” She said with a small nod.

Marzena turned slightly to see that [member="Natasi Fortan"] had made her way over, and her dark eyes glinted brightly. A warm smile found its way onto her perfectly painted lips. She took in Natasi’s appearance; noting that the Moff’s style of dress was lovely, even if it was a bit demure. It seemed that everything about her was pulled together, at least on the surface...

“Moff Fortan,” She said pleasantly, “It is a pleasure to meet you.”

She was feeling thankful that Ms. Brentioch had clued her in to Natasi’s title; Marzena did care about making good first impressions.

“I am honored to be here,” Marzena nodded, “It will be very nice to step back into the spotlight.”

This would be her first concert since her catastrophe of a performance on Lanteeb. Claire knew the details about the alien terrorists, along with anyone else that had happened to see the news on the HoloNet.

“It looks like the summit is going to be a smashing success, at least based on tonight’s turnout.”

skin, bone, and arrogance
Natasi swallowed audibly, searching in vain for the words in what was an uncharacteristic moment of speechlessness. By the Balance is she stunning. I could never wear that dress. Both the color and cut are -- She forced her internal monologue to stop running and then offered an apologetic smile, blinking a few times. "Ah -- likewise indeed," she said after a moment of noticeable silence. "Forgive me, Miss Choi. It has been a long... several weeks," she concluded delicately, looking down into her drink. She stirred it with the swizzle stick and then looked back up to Marzena. "I hope you'll find everything here to your liking," Natasi finally added a moment later. "We've expanded our typical security, and not just because of our foreign delegations," she said, glancing sideways to indicate the visitors, letting the veiled reference to security being the only nod towards the events at Lanteeb. "But if you should need anything, I hope you'll tell me or... or one of the hotel staff."

Another vague gesture at the crowd, this time apparently indicating the hotel staff who were milling about with trays.

"Are you representing your own corporation's business interests this weekend, Ms. Choi? As I understand it you are the Chief Executive of ... it's Kingdom Group, isn't it?" She raised an eyebrow, leaning forward in interest. The Moff didn't have a particular interest in retail boutiques and other such luxury establishments, and if she did, following the disaster at Herevan and her fortune being liquidated following her 'death', she was no longer in the correct income bracket to appreciate it. Still, it was her business to know all the attendees, and though the committee had invited Marzena for her celebrity status, it wouldn't do to ignore what else she might have to offer. "Executive, singer, and actress. I believe that is what they call in the entertainment industry a triple threat." She offered a personable smile that didn't quite reach her dark eyes, and sipped her drink.

"That would be ideal for us. Thank you for your time, Moff Fortan. We shall not detain you any longer. We look forward to working with you in the future," Callisto said in a cordial tone and returned the polite bow, having accepted the datapad.

The Moff left to entertain other guests and Callisto sipped her glass of champagne. Her model of HRD was advanced enough to blend in by doing things such as eating and drinking. Her scanners told her that the wine was most exquisite, though a machine lacked an appreciation for such matters.

Settling in First Order space and establishing a partnership with the neo-Imperialist faction would be most advantageous. Perhaps Archangel could even lend its expertise in...reeducating wayward citizens and turning them into productive labourers. After all, these dastardly rebels had a habit of rebelling against their betters instead of pursuing productive lives!

Dunames Lopez

Megalomaniac CEO of Star Tours
"Anastasia will probably end up moving her business, Anastasian Creations, to Nar Shaddaa once her star on the runway fades in First Order territory, and Nar Shaddaa may prove to be her swan song as a model. Less expensive, but much more sober, is Elena Morzas, a rising First Order runway star which was also contacted by Taking Off on a Star Tour to feature on this week's issue of First Order advertisements in that magazine. For 70-100k credits, plus the costs of any makeup artists, she can be used to this end. Unfortunately, she is not there at the summit because she feels that she would be unable to contribute in any meaningful way about economic or commercial issues"

"There is truly no ifs, ands or buts when it comes to runway models fading from stardom. I predict that, even if Anastasia somehow managed not to get intoxicated again, she will be simply an executive in five years' time, and only be able to be on the runways of Nar Shaddaa, if only that. The shelf life of models is about 10-15 years at most" Frank told the duo after eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Frank, on Nar Shaddaa, so long as Anastasian Creations can still produce clothing collections for customers of all ages, and that she can still live up to her reputation as one of the best drinkers in the galaxy, she can model there well into her eighties. But that kind of act wouldn't hold up anywhere else. Forgive me, but why are all the costs of models here always say, plus the costs of any makeup artists? It doesn't work like this on either Nar Shaddaa or Ringo Vinda" Jessica told Dunames.

"First Order standard fashion practices"

If Dunames had to guess, magazines often sold alongside Taking Off on a Star Tour often include tabloids and travel magazines. Jessica received one customary copy as a result of having written a guest column in the latest issue of Taking Off on a Star Tour and she realizes that another of the guest columns talks about how modeling contracts work - but that wasn't written by anyone she knew personally. But one supposes that she worked on Nar Shaddaa when she worked for Bluth Company...
