First Order: Sunglasses at Night [Development]

COMMS STATION: [member="Malok"], [member="Kaalia Voldaren"], [member="Kyrel Ren"], [member="Sara Lee Jones"]

While the Knights of Ren went to attack, Valessia knelt down firing off rounds of her carbine. Looking around she could see a small trail, "Malok!" The snow was uncivil to her, flying up into the air as fighting ensued she watched the beasts fire and charged forward. Carbine was only going to hold up so much, the Ambassador managed to sidestep one charge and clip on her vibrobayonet and then five foot step back. Stabbing the Talz in the side, twice. Withdrawing the blade she watched the Talz scream in rage the Ambassador took a push back, the power and strength of the Talz sent her flying back. She looked over to watch the two accompanying Knights of Ren and Malok embattled with Talz.

Talz enraged stomp through proving formidable for those there fighting the Talz. As she watches the fight and looks at the trail she realises that the trail runs through them, "I have an idea about the station," looks as if the Talz were responsible. Calling back on communications, "Jones, think you can sweep us up we need to follow the trail from the Talz, if anyone from the comms station is still alive, we need to get to them, now!"

With the Wampas gone, both [member="Boo Chiyo"] and [member="[/FONT][/SIZE][SIZE=14px][FONT='lucida sans unicode']Jarven[/FONT][/SIZE][SIZE=14px][FONT='lucida sans unicode'] [/FONT][/SIZE][SIZE=14px][FONT='lucida sans unicode']Zexxel[/FONT][/SIZE][SIZE=14px][FONT='lucida sans unicode']"] have a moment breathe - but the sounds of battle are never far away.

 

[Kyrel Ren]

Kyrel strayed from the group as soon as he got off the ship, no one had seen him, and no one seemed to care either. He had wandered through the snow of Hoth his suit insulated from the freezing cold, and so had no trouble when it came to the crazy below freezing temperatures. However his prosthetics struggled a bit when it came to moving, and so drew upon the force to make his movements faster. He had little reason to come here, except escort the ambassador on this expedition and helped her with whatever she needed. He thought to himself in annoyance. 'I'm starting to rethink why i had come here. This is not where I should be." With his way of thinking perhaps he thought he was entitled, but he wasn't in order to vent his self loathing he had a constant taste for combat. He for all intents and purposes hated his life, and the only thing he sought peace in was serving the First Order, and to grow more powerful in the dark side. In the months since opening up to the force, he had grown powerful and more wiser than he had been before.


He wandered the land for what seemed like hours, and always felt he had eyes watching him. He payed no heed to it nonetheless. He studied what looked to be a small outpost spotted in the distance, but as soon as he did he felt a disturbance in the force. He used a burst of speed to increase his movements, and to find the source of the disturbance. He saw what looked to be the group he was with earlier, and moved in swiftly. He saw the group of Talz attacking the group and several in front of the ambassador. He approached them from behind, the only sounds that filled the air was his breathing, and the snap hiss of his lightsaber. With one swift motion he decapitated two, and approached the other one, who at first had a battle hardened look to him that quickly dissolved into fear as Kyrel quickly delivered a horizontal slash to the beast.

He looked around as he said in a witty comment. "I do hope I am not late for the party."

It was clear now why the comms went down. As the Talz ambushed the group, Kaalia quickly reached for her sabers, igniting them as she went on the attack. Going from cover to cover, the redhead used her agility to take out the Talz one by one. Dodging fire, she closed the distance on one of them, thrusting the blue beam of light in her hand through the heart of her victim. The body slumped to the snowy ground as a red flash decapitated another approaching Talz. Seeing [member='Valessia Brentioch'] being pushed back, the redhead looked to make her way to the ambassador, but the sheer number of Talz made that impossible.

The numbers started catching up. The Ren found herself outnumbered four to one, and as they all fired at her she narrowly found cover behind a rock. The arrival of [member='Kyrel Ren'] had good timing however, allowing Kaalia to use the distraction to fight back. Clipping the red saber in her right back to her belt, she gathered the Force around her hand. Using the power, the young woman used it to kick up the snow beneath the Talz' feet, obscuring their vision. Her blue saber temporarily extinguished, she dashed over to the enemies, reigniting the weapon to strike. The disoriented Talz recovered, but only after two of them had fallen. Letting the Force guide the red saber back into her hand, flashes of azure and crimson were seen as the other two Talz received mortal stab wounds in quick succession. As a final gambit, one of them fired at Kaalia grazing her leg as they fell lifeless to the ground. Pain shot through her body as she fell back to cover. It was merely a flesh wound, but it still very much hurt.

Orders head been received, Sara had been doing her sweeps, the snow made it hard to do so yet she kept on, now she moved back to the designated location as she spotted blaster fire all around she spun the ship around as she brought it down hard and got up as she grabbed a blaster as she opened the door aiming around yelling out

ALL ABOARD! NEXT TRANSPORT OUT

She yelled as she fired at the enemies get near

 

[Valessia Brentioch]

Jones didn't have to say that twice, Valessia managed her way into the back of the shuttle. Snow, blood - Talz not hers and a rescue mission, if not it would definitely be a recovery mission. There were more questions than answers at this point. When the shuttle was loaded up she gave [member="Sara Lee Jones"] the new orders, "get us to the caves - we'll find the crystals and hopefully what's left of the comms team."

"Are you alright?" She asked turning to both [member="Kyrel Ren"] and [member="Kaalia Voldaren"], to most the Knights of Ren were something of a myth and didn't actually exist. At least to your run of the mill citizen of the First Order, but to those who knew better - the Knights were so much more. "And thank you," Valessia told [member="Malok"], certainly he and his kind had done their share of Talz destruction, "but I have a feeling we're going to have to do more than slam a few Talz around."

 

[Kaalia Pavanos]

The shuttle came with perfect timing. Grasping the wound on her right leg, Kaalia made her way to the shuttle as quickly as she could. Luckily, there was a clear path, allowing her to get to the shuttle without any more trouble. There was a sigh of relief as the sound of boots meeting steel filled the Ren's ears. Meeting back up with the rest of the group, the redhead answered the question asked [member="Valessia Brentioch"] with "I'm fine. Let's hurry." as she still nursed the wound. Looking around, [member="Malok"] and [member="Kyrel Ren"] could be seen, and with a quick nod the woman confirmed everyone else was unharmed. "What's next?"

[Valessia Brentioch]

Soon after the shuttle piloted by [member="Sara[/FONT][/SIZE][FONT=verdana] Lee Jones"] would arrive at the caves, the same caves they were supposed to be at originally in order to mine the permafrost crystals. "We hope by the balance that we find someone alive," she said to [member="Kaalia Voldaren"]. "Set us down, Jones. We'll go on foot from here, thank you." As they stood at the mouth of the cave, signs of the crew from the comms station showed themselves. Evidence a defensive struggle took place, and more blood. "Here keep this on you," she said to both Kaalia and [member="Kyrel[/FONT][FONT=verdana][SIZE=14px] Ren"], "communication badges we'll be able to stay in contact in case something happens." If something were to happen, entering the cave one could feel the whispers of death, and cold hollowing breeze that echoed like a nightmare off the cavern walls. Ice formations took up most of the path with narrow ledges leading down separate paths. Permafrost crystals were further back all throughout the cave, Valessia would harvest as many as she could while still trying to find the men and women of the comms station.

"Here," she gestures with a light, "fresh blood."

[member="[/FONT][/SIZE][FONT=verdana][SIZE=14px]Malok[/FONT][/SIZE][FONT=verdana][SIZE=14px]"], Valessia drew her attention back toward the ape, "let's see if we can't introduce you to the Talz."

Once everyone was off, she started taking off, she looked at her radar, she could see faint movement, she took off back to the base, she hurried as fast as the ship could

She got back few minutes later, she immediately got out, the ground crew had just finished fueling it up, she hopped it as she started checking the systems, she looked back as a gunner got in, she gave a smile as she started lifting off back to the cave, she started patrolling as she looked around, nothing moving for the moment...nothing yet...

As they moved back off the ship, Kaalia's leg bandaged and ready to get back to action, the cave entrance gave away a scene of a fight. Blood could be seen and death could be felt through the Force, making it clear that the Talz wouldn't be the last bit of combat the group would see. She nodded as she took the communication badge from [member="Valessia Brentioch"]. "I sense... Death. It goes without saying we should be alert at all times, I don't like the look of this." The redhead was on high alert, ready to strike at a moment's notice.

The group made their way into the cave, their lights leading the way. More blood could be seen while moving deeper in, but Kaalia couldn't make out the presence of a live being just yet. They approached a split in the path, leading multiple ways. "So, where are we going?"

[Kyrel Ren]

Kyrel got off the ship, and walked slowly with the rest to the mouth of the cave. He looked around, his photoreceptor's seeing the blood all over the mouth. He stood there unphased by it, as he relished in the blood of his enemies eager for more death. He however sensed Kaalia's displeasure and so chose not to speak. He was handed a communication badge by [member="Valessia Brentioch"] as he stood there patiently. He followed after her quietly, activating his lightsaber with a snap hiss. The blade ignited illuminating the surrounding chamber, and explored awaiting to see if he would encounter the blood thirsty beasts known as the talz. When he heard the Disciple ask Valessia where they were going he encountered that he was thinking the same thing, and asked his own question. "How will we find the crystals here?"

Valessia recalled the image of the crystal from the briefing. "Icy blue, should stick out against the white - however as far as where we're going. We're going this way." Motioning through the echoing chamber, and as the group continued to walk. First Order crates lined either side of the narrowing cavern, some open, some closed. Supplies, equipment including a laser that would be quite useful for extracting crystals, Valessia grabbed one or two of those. Medstims, medpacks, were also in the crates, blood still fresh marked the path ahead. "Hello?" She called out and when she heard nothing but her own echo, the Ambassador pressed forward. It was just as she began to walk forward that she heard a very meek reply of, help. Someone was still here, so she called out again, "hello? Where are you?"

And then there it was again, a call for help. A small path diverged off the main one, Valessia listened carefully. "Hello?"

It was heard again, "where is it coming from?" She addressed [member="Kaalia Voldaren"] and [member="Kyrel Ren"] wondering if either of them could discern where the sound was coming from.

Meanwhile [member="Sara Lee Jones"] would spot a patrol of Talz heading for the comms station as well as a group of Wampas heading for the cave.

Her gunner spotted the talz, she checked her radar and gave a nod, she made note of the wampas but paid to mind to them as she swung her gunship around, she immediately contacted the station

comm station this is captain Jones be advised we have enemy combatants heading to the station seems to be a small patrol doing a run on them

She said, she immediately lowered a bit, she checked her weapons and checked back, gunner gave a thumbs up, she passed over them releasing a hell storm of fire upon them, she then pushed forward the gunner doing a follow up on them

Grabbing a laser for crystal cutting and some medical supplies herself, Kaalia heard the meek pleas for help. Reaching out in the Force, she found the source of it, and was now following a fresh trail of blood towards where the voice was heard. "It's coming from this direction, I can feel it." She whispered "We're here to help." in the direction of the voice, slowly making her way towards it.

"We're getting close now." An uneasy feeling crept over Kaalia, warning her danger wasn't far away. "Keep your eyes peeled, I have a feeling the perpetrators aren't far off either." She glanced over to [member="Kyrel Ren"]. "What do you sense?"

As they neared the sounds of the muffled cries, the icy blue crystals began to appear. Valessia using her laser stopped a moment to grab a few, thankfully they weren't buried too deep and looked as if someone had tried to pull them before. Stuffing a few into her satchel she pressed forward. She paused a moment hear what the knight would say but then a shriek echoed, followed by a blood-curdling scream. Time was up, Valessia knew it and bolted toward the sound. Everything in her body was screaming for her to stop and yet she knew if she showed anything but concern then something might become questionable such as why wasn't she concerned. She looked over and saw the Talz with members of the First Order military who looked worse than when the Ssi-Ruuk had gotten through Avalonia. Grabbing her carbine she let off a few shots, "over here!" She shouted toward [member="Kaalia Voldaren"].

"Copy that [member="Sara Lee Jones"]!"

The Talz took cover and began taking pot shots at the shuttle.
