Veterans: Having fought for the Sith Empire since the Battle of Kol Huro, the First Assault Army is comprised of hardened veterans who over time have conditioned themselves to show no fear and accept no retreat or surrender. - First Through The Breach: The army's willingness to fling itself into the jaws of danger typically results in the destruction of less-skilled and less-experienced Legionnaires. While this inevitably creates a core of hardened veterans, it thins their ranks considerably after each battle.
DESCRIPTION
As the Sith regained control over their ancestral homeland in the Tingel Arm, they gathered onto themselves a menagerie of followers and devotees ranging from lowly soldiers to ambition politicians and bureaucrats.
Chief among these subjects were the soldiers who followed the various Sith Lords in their exodus from the Core Worlds. Warriors and generals who had fought through the calamitous war between the One Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, their hearts hardened by a decade of ceaseless violence and strife.
For a time they were the Sith's only standing army, but as the Sith reorganized themselves into an Empire, those ranks began to swell. Conscripts and volunteers marched alongside seasoned soldiers into battle, the weak torn up in the brutality of war while the strong survived and passed on their experience to the newest batches of recruits.
Following the Dominion War, the Imperial Army was reorganized into the Imperial Legion and those long-standing veterans were assorted into the First Sith-Imperial Assault Army. Designated as the tip of the Empire's spear, they were always the first into battle, charging headlong into danger and breaking enemy formations faster than any army that came after them.
