"I mean, you do look pretty strong. And muscle weighs a lot. So seven times isn't that much if you think about it."

Reina couldn't help but chuckle at that. It was nice to joke around and tease a friend. It made things seem ever so slightly normal for her. Even though nothing was really normal for her. It was all just a huge mess. But it was a mess that she was slowly starting to make her way through everything. Though reina did turn her head over towards Alana as the white-haired woman spoke.

"I do know what I'm signing up for. I'm not the easiest person to be around either. But you've stuck around. So I'm going to stick around with you, when you need me."

If she hadn't joined up with the Jedi, Reina might have decided to travel with Alana through the Galaxy. But alas the woman had other responsibilities. She'd need to stick with the Jedi until she felt like she had done enough for them. The Jedi had given her a place to belong, but Alana had also helped Reina to believe that she belonged as well. It was a nice feeling.

"Hey. If you fall, I'm going to find a way to carry you no matter what. I'll never leave you down."

It was true. No matter the situation, Reina wouldn't leave Alana behind. She wouldn't let the other woman take life laying down. If Reina had to drag her, or carry her, then she would do her damned hardest!

Alana huffed out a quiet laugh, shaking her head. "Yeah, yeah. Real noble of you."

She glanced at Reina, something softer flickering behind those red eyes—something she wasn't quite ready to name.

"You say that now, but I'm not exactly light, y'know," She added, smirking just enough to mask the weight behind her words. "And I don't plan on making it easy on you if it ever comes to that."

But there was no bite in it. No real challenge. Just an understanding. A quiet acceptance of something she didn't quite know how to voice.

She exhaled, stretching her arms above her head, feigning ease. "Guess that means I gotta make sure you don't have to carry me in the first place, huh?"

It was easier that way. It always had been.

Still, despite herself, she let Reina's words settle. Let them linger.

Maybe—just maybe—she believed them.

"Well, I doth happen to be a most noble Knight."

Reina grinned to herself, doing her best to try and sound like an old fashioned Knight. It was like in those old books she read as a kid, before they got thrown out to sea. Though she frowned as Alana spoke more, slowly shaking her head afterwards.

"No."

It was simple. Straight to the point. Blunt. The fisherwoman's eyes narrowing in on her friend for a moment. This was exactly what she didn't want her to do.

"Don't keep it all in. Don't try and keep all your issues to yourself. That's...why we've met. To help each other. So we don't have to hold the weight alone. If you ever need me, I will come running. No matter how small it might be."

By the Spirit. Part of Reina felt so stupid for talking like this. But she felt like she had to get the words out, otherwise Alana might not believe her.
