Flashpoint: Roche OOC

Why thank you.

Also, @[member="Wolan Tsomcren"] for your consideration:

This is a CWIS. There are four or more of them on US Naval Carriers. They shoot missiles.

Point-defense lasers > CWIS

60 point-defense lasers = bye bye proton torps

Also, you might want to watch this, actually, everyone should watch this.

Star Destroyers have turrets on the top and bottom, front and back.

Id like tor emind you that those 60 point-defense lasers are around and at each point on the destroyer. There were about 20 on the underbelly, and 5 around where I am. At the amount of torps I shot (ie about 200), one quarter should have hit.

At any given point while underneath or above a star destroyer you are exposed to all its weapons on that side. If you can see them, they can see you... and they can shoot you. Unless you're literally skimming the hull of the star destroyer, in which case good luck on surviving the detonations of your own proton torpedoes.

In any case, As I've Said Before:
"Do you wish to take this to the hutts? I'm sure they can settle this."

I'll discuss your offer with my fellow Hutts, @[member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""][member=""]Seth Shorn...

Good stuff. Me, I'm doing time with the in-laws and installing an AC. Best. Weekend. Ever.

Also, a note for @[member="Sirella Valkner"]. MSE-007 has been scanning the partially-assembled starfighters on the production floor and interfacing with their maintenance/diagnostic systems. I'm not saying he's got the full plans or anything, but now's the time to report to you and let you tell me what's up. IE, I'll let you figure out how much I've got.

Sirella Valkner

Because I'm a plant.

did a quick review of the posts, you got as much as you're going to get from those fighters. Time for you to bug out. Assuming you get away 1 "point" for the Sith.

You threw a thermal detonator at close range. The fight, for all intents and purposes, is over. I replied to you quite a ways back:
A thermal detonator has a blast radius of about 20 to 10 feet depending on the class of detonator. It is not a grenade. Roa glanced down at the detonator. Twenty feet. He ran. Feet pumped violently. He had to get out of the five foot radius, which would incinerate everything in it. Roa dove. Suddenly, he was flying and a searing pain burned through his back.

The shockwave of the blast picked him up and threw him like a ragdoll. He tried to control his fall as he descended rapidly toward the ground, but everything was upside down and sideways. He hit the ground with a bone jarring thud and starting tumbling, then skidding until he finally slid to a stop.

Everything hurt.

He lay on his stomach, his back was numb. He tried to crane his head around but felt a searing pain. The helmet had spared him a concussion, or so he thought. He tried to stand, collapsed, then tried again. Knees. He was able to get to his knees. Anything else would take an inhuman effort. Good thing considering he wasn't human. Roa needed about two Jorns before he could stand. He craned his helmet and stared back.

A massive crater took up the area where the shuttle which Monty had been hiding behind had been. Roa thought the man was a trained operative, but he had chucked a fething thermal detonator at close quarters. Rookie move wasn't even close. More like suicidal. Yet somehow, Roa suspected Monty survived the blast as well.

Roa glanced toward the access hallway and began dragging himself toward it. Overhead, blaster bolts criss crossed as Imperials and Republic troopers fought for control of the hangar.
