Jaxton Ravos

Vaulteroid - The Vault

The Lethe Twi'lek spent a moment to slice the doors, but was interrupted by the presence of Verpine flooding to attack them. She raised her hand and threw them with a powerful telekinetic shockwave, that literally flattened some of the Verpine against the walls. Jaxton made a note to stay on his guard, at best she was a powerful adversary that had issues letting go of the darkside, at worst she . . . no, she had to have some light in her. Everyone did. The Darkside couldn't consume everybody.

The doors opened and Jaxton was bought to a site of hundreds, maybe thousands of datapads, all intricately placed throughout the walls in some sort of librarial fashion. There had to be petabytes amongst petabytes of data in there. Quickly noticing the the sections were labeled, he made his way over to "g" and began searching through datapads.

"I'm guessing it's under Generator, but it might be under energy type. Do you know what powers the Generator?" Jaxton asked Anaya as he furiously searched for the proper schematics.

The remainder of the debris skidded away as her focus returned to the close-quarters standards -- physical enhancement, battle precog, instinct, timing. One-handed, angled slightly down, she parried the quick slash from his left blade. She whipped it back across her body to intercept the stab and guide it away, but it opened up her right flank's defenses. He was kicking from his back foot, trading speed for strength. It gave her a moment to react, no more. She shifted left and raised her foot, preventing him from bracing her leg and snapping it. His foot crashed into the side of her bent knee with punishing force, and she felt something snap in there -- painlessly, thanks to Crucitorn, but still crippling in the near future -- as she reared back on her left leg and counterkicked into the underside of his retreating kick.

It wasn't intend to do a great deal of damage. Instead, it was intended to pull her down and to the right. Her foot slammed into the ground, underneath his leg, as the front of a low, strong stance that put her far too close for comfort. As her lightsabre deactivated, her arm came down, and the blade snapped back to life at short range, aiming for his gut. Already she could feel her overstressed right knee beginning to swell, but she reached out with her left arm to grab his belt and keep him frozen for the gut shot.

Eldoc had heard the request for aid, he wasn't a squad but.. who would refuse a sith knight? Eldoc ran through the corridors towards Valik making his way relatively shortly due to his force enhanced speed. " I am here keep going" Eldoc sent a force bellow at the door.. It fell down making it mostly difficult to follow but a determined soul could squeeze through. Eldoc followed Valik's general direction hoping that he didn't get stuck in a fight or something.

The kick had the desired effect, although just has he tried to bring his leg down she fired a powerful kick into the soft tissues of his hamstring. The pain was intense but he kept his focus even as he buckled and lost his grip on his right lightsaber. The blue blade it was emitting quickly died as his grip released on the activation switch, and the electrum hilt echoed off the floor as everything slowed to a crawl. Ashin was point blank on him, and he tried to bring his left blade to her quickly but years of battle taught him he had lost. Her grip on his belt was firm as she held him in place with her force-enhance grip, and he didn't have the strength in his legs to fight back. Even now the soft tissues under the muscle of the back of his left leg were swelling and soon he'd be limping or not even able to walk from the damage he had just sustained. Everything was becoming crystal clear, and he knew what was coming next as the sky blue blade of the Empress deactivated.

The emitter pressed against his gut, and he knew there were only a few milliseconds to spare.

Snap-Hiss

It wasn't battle precognition, or even the Force that saved him from paralysis. Just a small wiggle that allowed him to move a few centimeters to the left as the bar of energy activated inside of him. Fire filled his body, and pain flooded all of his senses as his connection to the Force faded briefly. The small of his back flooded with sweat as his adrenal glands fired up, and his heart began to race even as the wound was already cauterized. His momentary shift in balance as he shuddered from being impaled only made the wound worse, and he felt the bottom of his lung get scorched from the bar of energy inside of him. His already weak knees buckled once more, and the GrandMaster of the Jedi Order could feel weakness overcoming him as his senses started to close in. It was a most convenient moment as a scream could be felt through the Force, but it didn't reach the wounded leader of the Jedi.

There was no tunnel of light, only scattered focus as Darron tried like hell to keep himself still. There was no power flowing through him, just the will power of a determined man that allowed him to hold his ground. The focus that normally clouded his face was gone, and it was replaced by a grimace of naked pain. Words failed him, and he knew he wouldn't make it through the day without medical assistance. He wasn't going to waste what energy he had left on crying for help though, instead his right hand shot out and grabbed Ashin's hand, and the hilt she had buried in his stomach. Their eyes met for what felt like an eternity as he gripped her hand as tightly as his mechanical hand would allow him to. Throat dry from dehydration, the Jedi Master forced the words out of his mouth.

"Either you die, or I do."

Electric blue eyes stared into pale blue, and then he acted.

The GrandMaster of the Jedi Order brought his left blade up and under the Empress' arm right at her elbow with all the speed he could muster as he kept her anchored right there.

It was just as before, just as everything had seemed so perfect. When all of the pieces of her world were in perfect place, someone shattered it. Ripped her joy out from under her, and brought her to her knees. She fell forward, one gauntleted hand supporting her weight on the cold stone floor while the other clutched her stomach, her lightsaber rolling away from her.

Mikhail's taunting rung in her ears, stirring a despair fuelled fury in he pit of her stomach. He had taken her baby. Stolen a life that was hers to protect. She had failed. She had failed against him before, now she had failed again at a greater cost. She should have listened to Darron, she should have stayed on the Teferi. And what? Let Brunswick suffer Mikhails wrath? No, she had a duty.

And you failed.

The lightning slammed into her forcing her onto her back. But there was no scream of pain as it reached through her a armour to sear the flesh beneath making her muscles spasm. The pain fuelled her despair and rage and slowly she began to repel the lightning, building a force bubble around her body that kept the worst at bay she rolled back to her knees, bringing her hands before her she slowly got to her feet as she channelled her despair into the space in front of her.

"KARK YOU!" She screamed at him, her lightsaber spinning back into her hand she moved forward, the lightning reflecting off her lightsaber once more

Mind expanding, the vast array of colors clouded her vision. Spencer knew this feeling all too well; the vision of her meditation became a reality once again. For some reason she felt stronger as her influence branched out towards the hundreds of auras out on the battle field. The information passed between her and those she connected too flowed freely once again. The girl’s chest rose as she felt the filling effect of the force, her mind focused on Ashin for a brief moment – the woman was still alive and that’s all that mattered. It was all she needed to know for the moment to continue to fight. The hundreds of troops that were on G99 became her new focus. Pulling all of her influence from everyone she focused the meditation on the troops there, the commander @[member="Falon Azrakel"] would feel a surge of confidence and the troops as well would feel the same effect.

She had been playing defensively the entire fight; it was her training to be a protector. Though the fight on G99 seemed to be a place they had to win. She had to fight and push forward with the rest of the Empire. Her body arched back as her head flung back, the Battle meditation released from its defensive aura tendrils of offense. She searched for a Jedi and recognized the feeling she received from the rock. A woman, she knew this woman even though she had just met her they had a connection.

It was funny how family worked out that way.

A smile crossed the young meditators face, the Jedi Master was an easy target – not because she wasn’t strong no, it was because their connection was strong and a good gateway to what she needed to do. Like claws, her aura attempted to latch on to @[member="Kalia Vondiranach"] ‘s. Words of influence flowed through the crimson tendrils that sent the malicious attack upon the Jedi Master’s mind.

Auntie….Auntie Kalia…Help me! Help me please! Auntie Kalia why aren’t you helping me!

Crucitorn.

Her grandfather's holocron might have reformed and refined her understanding of the ancient Sith power -- a power the Jedi had adopted millennia before. But Ashin had first learned to handle pain as a Jedi. Crucitorn could not be maintained when the Grandmaster's lightsabre had just removed her right arm above the elbow.

Crucitorn blotted out all pain, but there was a reason she used the power sparingly, and that reason had much to do with moments like this. A woman with this many scars could understand pain better than most. As the crucitorn ended, she browned out and fell to the deck.

Not a concession. Darron, too, would die. She chose to let that comfort her as she worked her way past the pain in her head. Now the full assortment of injuries cascaded through her mind; now she could fully sense what he had done to her. Her whole arm burned to the bone -- or it felt that way, because the limb was simply gone. She fought past numbness in her mind. Her right knee swelled to the point where her loose trousers were no longer loose. A couple of cracked ribs, too.

And another pain, a profound ache in her chest, over her heart. Eyes on Darron, she prodded the wound. Her breast moved oddly under her hand, providing unexpected angles of resistance.

A second batch of shock reinforced the first and stripped away her resistance to it -- to all of it. But the pain was more profound, more furious than anything she had yet experienced. Indignation and clarity filled her, granting her the power to rise to her feet. Her lightsabre floated up from her fallen hand, and she snagged it out of the air. Her right knee buckled, and she fell to it, eyes pinned to Darron.

Inside, of course, her attention fell to the diagnosis of the pain, apart from the insane fury of her right arm's stump. In an instant she understood that the poisons in her blood had become carcinogenic.

"What more can you take from me?" she screamed at the universe. Her lightsabre ignited by accident as her hand closed around the hilt with incredible force. The metal warped until the crystal splintered, and the blade died. She flung the weapon away; it exploded in midair. The entire hangar shook, or what remained of it. Droids and starships trembled and broke. "What...else...is...there!"

G99 - Space near asteroid

Delila stood in an at-ease position, watching the portions of the bombing commence. The asteroid was being pelted relentlessly by the Omega Pyre bombers, the explosives sounding like distance footsteps of a giant. Omega Pyre seemed extremely intent on leaving nothing behind for the enemy. The Major could appreciate their style, if they couldn't have it no one could.

A young crewman approached the two women, looking between them before focusing on Kerrigan. "Ma'am....what of the shield generator? It still has to be blown. Bombers are searching for the generator currently."

"Generator? Do you have envirosuits on board? I feel like stretching my legs."

The crewman nodded. "Of course. We have four in total."

"Excellent. I will personally go down and blow the charge. It will give me something to do...Would you mind showing me the envirosuits?" The crewman nodded again and Delila took off after him, passing some of the 73rd. "Three of you healthy enough who want to perform some explosions lets get a move on" Only two were able but between the three of them it should be easy to set charges and blow up G99's shield generator.

Pulling on the envirosuit, Delila triple checked all the seals and gauges along with the suits of the two soldiers going down with her. With the bombing and loss of power, there would be no real breathable atmosphere left on the asteroid, if it even had one in the first place. The trio was gathering enough explosives to take out the shield generator and more. Hell, with this type of explosive load they could take out a small township.

Supplies gathered, it was time for the fun to begin.

"Lets load up and blow this thing so we can go home."

Piling into their small transport, coordinates from a bomber about the location of the generator came in. The transport stuck close to the Omega Pyre bombers and fighters on the trip, taking no chances this time.

Nickel One Command center Entrance

As Rach was bringing down the barrier, Verz gave his last set of orders before the engagement. The comm connected all 60 something Mando soldiers, but to outsiders, all was quiet, with the exception of the crumbling rock. "All right, try to incapacitate the Republic troops if at all possible We're here for data and a Senator." Then the wall of rubble collapsed, and all hell broke loose. The enemy was foolish, having what appeared to be a single squad defending a command center. Many Initiates had weaker armor and dove for cover, firing back with stun pulses.

Verz was near no such cover, and relied on his beskar'gam and wits to keep him safe. He dodged some shots, others glanced off of his ancient beskar, handed down from father to son for many generations in his family. He fired back with his blaster rifle, aiming to wound or stun. His HUD highlighted a grenade, so he rolled away from the lethal blast, shrapnal pelting his armor. He rolled into a kneeling position, firing expert shots, and with cover fire from fellow Mandos, he and a group of about 20 Mandalorian Supercommandos moved forward, refusing to give a single centimeter up. The Initiates remained behind cover, protecting themselves from incoming fire. The Rally Masters formed a loose formation, close enough to help the man nearest him, but far enough that not all of them could be taken out by grenades.Verz was at the front, leading his warriors into the command center with a fierce battle cry, amplified by his helmet's speakers.

The Dark Lord yawned hugely. "Dead. Recently dead. In fairness, he deserved it and was utterly delicious as steak."

He peered up at the two on-edge pilots. "You're making me tense," he said peevishly. "I'm tired, I've had a long day, I've killed a quarter of a million people. Please stop making me tense."

He gestured across the hall, and a door opened to a very small 'fresher. "Tap's in there. Please stay in sight. I wasn't born yesterday."

A coughing fit possessed him.

NICKEL ONE GENERATOR ROOM
@Verz Horak @Kad Kando @Ben Watts @Racket @Damon Kurosaki @[member="Ardak Serifen"]

The falling rubble crashed into the Mandalorian rear guard, as the bulk of their forces had been pushing into the room for some time. A handful of Mandos fell among their fellows. But it bought Watts and his fellow defenders -- except for Racket, who was currently being kicked on the ground by about a dozen Mandos, and the Senator, who was currently surrounded by about another dozen Mandos -- time to reposition at the top of the stairs. Rach Kol-Rekali and about two dozen Mandos looked up at them.

"Master Watts," said Rach, "feth you to Chaos." He switched from helmet speaker to unit commlink. "Forcebreakers and sonics at the base of the stairs, now!"

The Mandalorians had, thus far, kept largely to grenades, blasterfire and shot from slugthrower assault rifles. Mandalorian soldiers had one of two standard main battle weapons. One was a slugthrower with an attached grenade launcher, capable of throwing, among other things, Forcebreakers. Those particular munitions had been kept in reserve until right now. The other main battle weapon for the Mandalorian soldiers was the Jair Sonic Rifle, which combined a blaster rifle with a sonic weapon designed specifically for anti-Forcer use. A lightsabre couldn't stop it; a Force shield which would stop debris or, say, grenades might let in the reverberation of air.

Because twenty-four Mandalorians, with Rach at their head, were now firing some combination of Forcebreaker grenades and sonic blasts straight at the bottom of the stairs, ideally filling the entire stairwell and ion cannon command centre with eardrum-shattering sonic waves and Force-clouding hallucinogens. The grenades detonated, and Rach put his entire Force strength into wafting the whole mass of the gas up the stairwell as its close confines and stone walls amplified some of the sonic blasts as much as they nullified others and gave them odd harmonics. Even one blast could kill or burst eardrums, incurring crippling pain in such close quarters. Ben could, perhaps, defend against all of this if he didn't breathe in.

Oh, and those sonic rifles were now being fired at Serifen and Racket. A dozen Mandos quickly realized that Racket was already unconscious, and moved to help the two dozen at the bottom of the stairwell.
