His long hair was pulled into three braids that converged into one ponytail, streaked with gray of old age. He also had a rugged beard that may or may not have been regulation length. He had several piercings on his right ear and a mole right between the bridge of his nose and his right eyebrow.

[*]Personality: Manuel Hawkins is a jovial sort and easily one of the more laid back Fleet Admirals in the Corellian Defense Force Navy. He treats his people fairly and always puts them first when it comes to planning deadly missions. He is however, a veteran of both the war between the Republic and the Sith Empire and the Galactic Alliance against the Imperial Bloc and has come over time to realize that sacrifices sometimes must be made. He is a friend to the Jedi, though he often has misgivings about their motivations, especially in the way they have a tendency to force themselves into situations and claim that their way is the only good way forward. He loves to drink and smoke and dislikes scheming which puts him at odds with Corellian Naval Intelligence, though he fully makes use of their assets.

- Combat Function: Fleet Admiral Hawkin's main combat function is that of a naval commander. From aboard his flagship he can make combat decisions for the entire First Fleet. He's a decent shot and is trained in hand to hand as well if the need should arise but he is usually attended by two Corellian Darksabers and thus often doesn't need to defend himself.

Born and raised on Sacorria, an Outer World on the edge of the Corellian Sector, Manuel Hawkins was the first member of his family to join the military of his own volition. While some of his relatives and ancestors had been conscripted into the Corellian Defense Force or Republic military, Manuel decided early on that he wasn't going to spend his life cultivating the plants and chemicals used in Bacta or salthia beans for the rest of his life like his father seemed content to do. By the time he was of age he was already a large man, built from years of hard labor and his recruiter suggested that he join the Republic Army or Republic Marine Corps. Instead Manuel joined the navy as a starfighter pilot.
After his time in the Republic, he returned to Corellia and joined the Omega Protectorate's military as a Starfighter General. Eventually however he was forced to also take on the role of Admiral. After the fall of both the Republic and the Protectorate he joined the Galactic Alliance, again pulling double duty as an Admiral. As the war between the Galactic Alliance and the Imperial Bloc raged however he returned to Corellia with as many ships as he could and attempted to defend Corellia from the Sith, however the destabalization of the Galctic Alliance led to supply chain difficulties that ultimately saw his force fall to the combined might of the Imperial Bloc. He went into hiding with other members of the Corellian Resistance and resurfaced only for major fleet engagements with Task Force Soccoro, the Sith's "peacekeeping" force left to quell Corellian resistance.
After the Corellian Confederation sprang back up with the liberation of the planet by the New Republic, he joined the budding Corellian Defense Force first as a high ranking Admiral. Once the Confederation was fully formed and began reorganizing fleet assets left over from New Republic deserters and scattered ships from throughout the Corellian Sector, he was offered command of the First Fleet as a Fleet Admiral. He graciously accepted and has been serving faithfully ever since.
