DESCRIPTION

The Fleet Link Uplink Node (FLUN)—codenamed Whisper Relay—was developed by VesperWorks as a strategic solution to the unique challenges faced by stealth operations, deep-space artifact recovery fleets, and deniable strike formations. Rather than rely on traditional Holonet or standard encrypted comms, FLUN uses quantum-drift encrypted relays to maintain constant, passive contact between ships across a distributed command web.

Housed in a phrik-lined core and shielded with electromagnetic stealth baffles, each FLUN unit is virtually undetectable to conventional sensor sweeps. Data is routed through a triple-locked sequence of encrypted bursts, randomized and delayed to prevent interception. For vessels using the MCOU-6 or ARIADNE AI systems, FLUN allows fluid command hierarchy overlays, enabling vessels to change roles, share targeting data, or deploy in tactical harmony without verbal confirmation.

In case of breach or hostile boarding, the node activates its fail-isolation suite, locking out external access and wiping volatile memory cores. Not even VesperWorks engineers can recover data post-scrub.

Originally created for Project VESPER flagship use, FLUN is now deployed across all advanced VesperWorks platforms, forming the nervous system of Serina Calis' shadow-fleet. In silence, it commands. In shadow, it speaks.
