More invasions are coming and the battle of Manaan has taught me some valuable lessons about what we need to better compete here.

  • A carrier cruiser capable of delivering multiple squadrons to the battle.
  • Finish up [member="Camellia Swift"]’s star destroyer.
  • Upgrade all capital ships to be able to resist Dovin Basals better using Spatial Compensators.
  • Find methods of resisting boarders, as that was how our two ships were lost in the invasion.

There may be other things, but these are the first items which came to mind.

New carrier command ship will be on the way - yours if you want it.

Dovin basal upgrade package, maybe - saves us retrofitting things. Dev thread can handle 'it comes standard on most ships' thing.

Anti-boarding can be handled with speciality boarding troops, or more anti-gunship corvettes/frigates a la the Lancer. Which would you prefer?

Gotta poke the Jedi on the destroyer. Its their thread which has to finish.

As for a carrier I agree we'll need one and I'm open to working on it with someone.

I was in fact planning to do refit packages for the Dreadnought Heavy Cruiser and Hammerhead Cruisers as well to make them better than average. (I want to give the Hammerheads forward guns long range barrels and increase the Dreadnought's weapon count a little)

I prefer the MC180 as my command ship, though a large carrier is useful too. A cruiser sized one as well can't hurt though. The Vong brought a massive amount of fighters to the last battle, and we need to match that.

New Command Ship should have a GAM like the MC180 to nullify Yammosk coordination.

We need to get a way of detecting enemy cloaked ships, I think there's a Crystal Thingie which does it. Combine that with some escorts to watch for them and some specialised boarding troops and we should be OK.
 
[member="Friedrich Stahlmann"] - the Remembrances have the CGT. Would it be easier to make a carrier version of the Remembrance (like the Valiance/whatever my gun variant was called on that) thing?

Boarding troops are yes. I was thinking about overhauling our standard trooper armour and making it heavier/incorporating the Echani energy shield.

Also Zane I did develop some special forces armor with phrik involved, I think adding shield gen to all our armors sounds like a good idea. What is our standard armor right now anyway? How old is it? Is it time for a rework of its deign?

(Also anyone know if we got a droid company, we could use some droid units to support us like the sith got monsters)

However we do it, we need to balance the three pillars of fleet design; speed, attack and defence.

Do we have active dev threads which need finishing?
 
this is what happens when I absorb a disorganised set of things.

k so here's the plan: I want to make a carrier of the Remembrance as a command ship cuz it's a) pretty b) good as a command ship and c) and a boatload less effort than a new design. [member="Friedrich Stahlmann"] you will get first pick of battleship or carrier and I will take the remaining one.

With the metal, [member="Alyesa Praxon-Organa"] - can I make armour out of it and will it be effective.

  • Electronic Pulse Emitter - This device allows a ship to displace energy through the outside of the ship's hull in order to prevent unwanted boarders from breaching the hull. On theNightfury there are 15 QualMass Generators which are dedicated solely to this function.
I used this when fleeting to fight off boards and repel enemy vessels attaching themselves to the hull of the Super Star Destroyer. Epic battle that was. God I miss Alarice *sniffs*

I think that was covering the massive vessel. However, if it isn't going to anymore we can have it cover the production of the QualMass Generator which is responsible for the electric discharge across the hull?

- What methods were used at Caamas by Ayden and Popo. Also placehold a reserve of PCs to counter enemy PC when boarding ships

Actually, I'm not sure! If not I've talked to THI and they might be willing to specialize in droids if and when they reach the next tier.

If it is something we wish to pursue I can talk with them again.

I'm sure you can commission one of the many companies to make a Republic specific droid. It would help said company reach contracts and provide the Republic with a droid without the need for a Republic specific droid company.
