Works. I'll get you exact numbers later, but I'm a fan of carrier ops. I figure on a carrier and an escort, along with a few squadrons of fighters escorting Skiprays.

I was just going to load them all up on the carrier, have their guns facing outwards, and then use them for broadsides. Thanks for ruining the fun.

I have a feeling this new system is going to make life easier and harder on them. Easier because foes can't just brush them off, harder because you have to take losses with each run rather than using clever tactics to avoid fire.

Alright, my fleet is based on stuff that could be used by the GA during the Second Galactic Civil War.

I can't find a length for the Ranger-class Gunship (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ranger-class_gunship), so I'm gonna pull a random number out of my ass and say 200 meters. If that's been clarified somewhere, I'll adjust fire as necessary.

Wookiee is also nonspecific about the length of the Skipray 24r Blastboat, saying only that it's a little bigger than the original (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Skipray_24r_Blastboat). The original was 25 meters, so I'm going to round up to 30.

Going with XJ-7 model X-wings, with a length of 12.5 meters.

Breakdown is as follows:

Carrier (undecided, but it won't be engaging in combat)
1 Ranger-class Gunship for point defense (200 meters)
15 Skipray 24r Blastboats
90 XJ-7 X-wing Fighters

Each Skipray will be accompanied by 6 fighters. The Skiprays will serve as squadron leads, with squadrons designated Alpha through Oscar on the phonetic alphabet. For the purpose of this fight, each squadron will act as a cohesive unit.

OK, as far as I can tell...the Ranger will have a size of 200 metres. I'll give it 45 defence guns and 10 capital guns.

The Skiprays are...weird. Seeing as your ones are bigger I'll give them 30 metres, but count them as attack craft.
With that end I'll make them speed 5, 6 cannons and 2 warheads, but dealing damage to capital ships like bombers.

That means they'll be useful as bombers, but in dogfights can be overwhelmed by very fast enemies.

Sound fair?
