Distractions, distractions were everything. Distractions broke down mental walls, redirected focuses, and kept people off balance. For the Dagobah Sith Lady, distractions led to opportunity. So as the young Jedi Master was busy dealing with [member="Darth Ferus"], Darth Venefica, Master Mentalist, spun her invisible hands all around the mind of the female Jedi, [member="Aela Talith"], slipping inside undetected and causing all manners of perversion. Her goal, to attempt to wreck havoc in the girl's mind preventing her from having any control whatsoever through Mind Shard; while causing her untold pain.
While she was attempting her brand of witchcraft, she placed the other bone in her mouth, biting down hard enough to cause pain, and allow the iron taste of blood to flow into her mouth. Pain that she would use to enhance her ability in the Darkside; increasing the potency of Mind Shard. As a Mentalist, she had trained her mind and will to the pointe that her abilities would not be easily defeated; and this young Jedi would be hard pressed, or virtually unable, to prevent the invasion regardless how calm and centred she was.
It wasn't about shared ranks, Master and Sith Lady, but the difference in ages. Darth Venefica, Vahla born, had the the Force and the Darkside already manifested inside her, and it was already potent then. By the time she was five, she had been manipulating the Force with ease, and by the time she was thirteen, new how to work it even though it was raw and unpolished in her. By the time she was sixteen, she was beginning to understand the nature of the Darkside in a way only the Sith understood it. Judging by the looks of the female Jedi, there was at least a ten year gap, a gap that gave both experience and knowledge of the Force in favour of the Sith Lady.
So when the girl turned to look at her, silence her companion. The first tearing of the girl's mind would begin.

the Arachnid-AT that taneas was in had now started to decent the cliff side, in an attempt to rush to the other side of the canyon. Each leg digging into the rock after it moved to keep it from falling. with taneas even strapped in piloting one himself he could feel he's entire body fall forward from the gravity.

the reports from the center console displaying the map showed one group starting to make their way toward the river and the other Arachnid-AT descending the cliff side. As he looked to the left he could see the impacts of the recent fire fight. dead body's laying across the floor and chunks of red flesh.

Before soon the Arachnid-AT that he was in had reached the bottom making it's way toward the river now. no one could be seen to engage them so he took the opportunity to move fast. in the back one of the soldiers that helped command the walker was spewing his guts up from the drastic rotation. he soon stopped getting back to his duty like it didn't phase the poor man.

Taneas looked into the map once more to see the middle team of Arachnid-ATs had made it halfway across the West Bank as the other team was still descending possibly getting close. He prepared to send his arachnid into the water, the other shortly behind. if someone was to get out now they wouldn't be able to stand. "okay boys let's make this quick we don't want to be here any longer than what we are." above them thick black clouds formed.

As the had made it toward the river, a vong soldier that had been left behind appeared from behind one of the rocks, it has open fire onto the lead arachnid like it would make an impact. as the sound of the top cannon swiveled taneas laughed. "hold your fire, let's have some fun with the ugly son of a queen before we make it into a chunky soup." he proceeded to patching in to the other at via coms "hey swan get by the side, we will both take this one." the man replied asked if it was over the top. "this is war no such thing as over the top, Damn! back in my prime years we'd mess around with them. every time a Jedi had made a enemy fly into the air it would be a contests to see who could shoot first Ha Ha Ha Ha."

as the arachnids lined up the vong troop in-between them still firing, one of the shots had been directly aimed at taneas. "oh that's not nice let us show you how it feels like. NOW!" The shots from the mass driver cannons exploded in-between them enough power to slightly lift the walker at such close range, the blood and chunks from the vong that didn't vaporize from the shot. covered a few rocks around that wasn't now scorched in black. "okay Lets keep moving." The walkers now stood on the West Bank of the river valley, ready to start their water crossing.

“It’s easy if you know how to not-die.” Sena reassured Ameli. “Like that guy, yeah. Oh and, no, I have only been part of the one invasion way back when. We’ll learn right quick though. Probably.”

It was good to see Girl Number Two get all excited though. Contagious? Just about it! The man in the distance looked nice. Nice and tough, a good fight for two Acolytes looking to start their day with murder and mayhem. One out of two activities that both Acolytes had become hobby practitioners of. Sena looked to Ameli and then followed close behind her friend.

“So remember, he is heavily armored unlike you. There is really no room for errors or foolish maneuvers this time. Consider it a trial by fire, sorta.” Sena gently tilted her head from side to side as she spoke. “Or, actually, just try to think of it as a really complex knife fight and you should be fine.”

The duo approached the man and Sena ignited her saber. The orange blade extended itself for the ground and Sena put on her most irritably ditsy act. A mock pout darted between Ameli and the stranger.

If Ameli remembered anything from Zeltros she would remember what to do next.

“Awww, look, I think he’s lost.” Sena grinned. “Are you lost, little man?”

This was Darth Veles’ moment to shine, do what the Sith Assassin did best. The opportunity couldn’t have been more perfect – Darth Ferus took off to deal with the man clad in phrik armour, possibly the preferable option for the monster he way, the female Jedi Master continued to focus on him for a moment too long though. Fairly unwise to attack opponents who have moved on to fight someone else when there were others seeking her harm, not all of them even invisible as Veles. The Jedi’s bubble of protection and safety shattered into the Void as the woman launched herself backwards, her blade snapping to life and covering her retreat.

Avreet did not remain passive, several careful steps brought him closer to the woman again, the Force and his large orbs of amber stared unsure of what was going to happen in the next few seconds. Then his eyes spotted it, an opening, his opponent’s potentially fatal mistake. No shield could be seen by the amphibious assassin’s excellent eyesight, nothing around the woman that could save her from what was about to come – and yet she turned her back to him as she turned to stop Darth Ferus, the motions of her free hand indicating she was distracted enough. Avreet knew he had to use this chance before she raised her barrier again, thus he sought to make his first and probably the last attack in the fight against this woman.

Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

One, two steps brought him within the suitable range that’s been greatly improved thanks to Makashi’s superior reach and Avreet finally made his move. Lunging forward, his blade piercing the air like a spear of death as his weapon jabbed towards the centre of the female Jedi’s back while the woman focused on her Force stun, the Mon Cal’s entire arm fully stretched out to further add to the few inches of pure energy that would rip through her spine, burning a hole through the Jedi Master’s belly once the blade ran her through.

Her breath stuttered as the man dispelled her attempt to attack him. Each second passing prompting a heavier intake of air to the point where the noises coming out of her hose had a distinct whisper to them. He wanted this. She repeated the thought over and over as the urge to get torn down slowly subsided in place of something else. Something worse.

“I don’t feel anything.” She nearly growled. “I don’t want to feel anything, I don’t want to think about it and I don’t-... Need-... To take this-... From you.”

She tried her attack once more. Nerves, balance, nausea and incapacitation.

“Do you know what it’s like to grow up alone?” Her temper flared up. “Do you know what it’s like to spend every day of your childhood wondering what is wrong with you? Why nobody in your own family acknowledges you? Do you know what it’s like when the most treasured memory of your childhood is the part where you ran away?!”

“Do you?” Her hand lowered itself as she spoke and her saber reignited. “Do you have any idea what it’s like to think you finally found a family, a new one, a group of people that accepted you for who you are only to see them all die in an attack on your home?”

“Do you?” Her voice turned into a shout. “Well, do you? Answer me!”

Tear me open let me out.
End it here and show me how.
Sacrifice what's left of me,
This is how it has to be.’

Corvus nodded. It was as if she were talking to a Youngling that had made a good point. “You are speaking so much truth. A Jedi is taught that we should never see things as a choice between winning and losing. To concentrate on winning is to sully our victory. Winning becomes worse than losing. The ideal is to end this battle peacefully rather than win or lose.”

“But,” her brows creased slightly, showing clear displeasure at something the Sith Lord had said. “These are not my people. We are equals. My title is just a name. As Master Yoda would say, a promotion this was not. We all represent the Council – at least the Jedi among us.”

“But I am intrigued and perhaps should be flattered that you pay so much attention to me. For I don’t even know your name. You say I have no power yet you seem to hold me in high regard – no doubt higher than it should be.”

“And if I am unchanged in my years since we last met, then I take that as another compliment. I should be offended if my change in duties made me a different Jedi. You have truly made my day,” and she smiled warmly as the Sith halted her attack for a short while.

Corvus turned as the Sith circled her. It was a common Makashi manoeuvre and she was aware she should not let herself be outflanked.

“Again I warn you to be wary of overconfidence, stubbornness even. Now you are powerful but the greatest Sith Lords all past into history for the very same reason. They all died. Some lasted longer than others – but death came to them all and they joined the Force. It is inevitable. It is…your destiny. I do not fear death. I shall join the Force one day. Maybe today? It is as good a day as any.” There was no defeatism in her voice, merely objectivity.

“And then you go and spoil all those fine words with,” Corvus waved her left hand expansively, “All those theatrics. I sense you’re on edge? Do you doubt yourself? Is that it? The most difficult trial a Jedi faces is to look inside oneself. Often we see things we don’t like. But these things are not set in stone. It is our decisions that shape our destinies. It is not too late for you. It is the future that is of most importance not the past. If there is good in you, I can help you find it.”

But the Sith continued – unabated and Corvus continued to turn with her – focus on the Sith’s words as the Force would tell her when to act.

“And Bane said he would survive at any cost. And he was wrong. He learned the lesson but failed to execute. As did Sidious. Pride invariably predicts a fall – heed my words.”

The Sith Lord took a half-step forward but no warning came, so Corvus remained impassive.

“And now you seek my Achilles heel? Jedi never truly die – they join the Force. We grieve the loss of course – we are human. But emotion does not affect our decisions. For every Jedi you kill, another takes her place. It is part of the natural balance of the Force, is it not?”

“And the Republic can choose whoever it likes as an ally…we have never interfered – and as for the mongrels you choose to bed with, that is hardly my concern, now is it?.” For the first time Corvus’ voice sounded serious. Until now she’d been calm and pleasant – now she would go on the offensive with her words.

And as if by way of a response, the Sith attacked. Her left hand swept up with a powerful strike while her right carried the twin saber forwards in a jab.

Corvus parried the first strike up and away but the second had to be intercepted in the inner ring. Her hilt went to her navel and with the tip of her blade angled she shunted the Sith’s second blade aside. It was always a dangerous place to defend from and in theory allowed a riposte against her opponent’s stomach or chest. But Corvus held back for now, willing to bide her time.

“The seventh Form?” Corvus said, “An interesting choice. You’d better finish me soon. All that energy you’re expending? Are you getting frustrated? You’ll be getting fatigued soon. But already? I mean, are you that old? You should be careful.”

The first Yorik-Vec, now free of its load of Grutchinya, would dip back down into the roaming swarm — whatever was left of it, anyway — and attempt to destroy the stranded and helpless troops caught underneath the rocks the insects had collapsed atop the enemy. The Yaret-Kor would belch molten rock at the vulnerable opposition, protected by the anti-laser aerosol secreted by the accompanying Nuhlrokka. The Otliq itself would spit fire upon the exposed infantry; infantry that had, arguably, stepped out of the frying pan and into the fire, for the napalm that the Host Lord had rained upon the canyon had not been extinguished.

Its northern sibling, returning from releasing its first load of mature Grutchinya upon the poorly protected infantry, would roar above the clouds, undeterred in its acquisition of a new target, one that its allies and brood-mates were already firing upon. Zooming down from the heights, the vessel would keep out of range of friendly fire as it dipped under the lip of the canyon, its belly gaping again to let another swarm out, the insects delving into the eroded rock with a ravenous buzzing. They would seek to disrupt the already fragile integrity of the stone, likely sacrificing their lives in their effort to eat away the ground beneath the many feet of the metal beasts above, consuming earth and rock alike as they burrowed through the plateau at I8 and G8, their buzz drowned out by the sound of artillery and cannon fire overhead.

Meanwhile, halfway across the canyon complex, Vrag herself would be observing the seemingly never-ending barrage of artillery and cannon fire directed at the enemy forces, clouds of dust and debris hanging in the air from the constant explosions. By the looks of things, the woman wouldn't be surprised if they brought the whole thing down upon them; but then again, that might just prove more effective than simply shooting them with really big guns.

Before she could ponder more on the subject, however, the Hand of the Dark Lord was alerted to a lone figure moving across the plateau just below her, the commbuzzers signaling the dangers to her Hunters on the ground.

Bored, bloodthirsty Hunters who had been itching for action since the moment they'd arrived; it didn't take a genius to figure out what would happen next. True to the layman's prediction, the horde of cloaked elites would jump at the chance to cause harm to the enemy and their infidel machines, launching a swarm of thud bugs and razor bugs at the approaching figure with deadly precision and speed. The beasties, cutting through the air so fast their forms were naught but a blur, would all home in on the lone stormtrooper approaching the edge of the canyon, dead set on breaking her bones and stripping them of every last shred of flesh.

Oh, they would show the superiority of their training to all those who dared tresspass in their territory; they would show it well, and they would show it indisputably.

Summary of Actions:
  • Yorik-Vec and 5x Nuhlrokka attack [member="SC-4486"] and [member="Alva Calvarona"]'s forces stuck in the collapsed canyon [F9, G9, G10]
  • Yorik-Vec unloads second half of Grutchinya to burrow into the canyon at G8 and I8, attempting to collapse the ground beneath [member="Solan Charr"]'s mythosaurs
  • 100 elite Legion Yun'Do Hunters identify [member="Alva Calvarona"]'s scout trooper [J13/14] and attempt to neutralize her with a barrage of thud and razor bugs

Again with the dissipation. Kana sighed in frustration as the urge to lunge at the man resurfaced. He proved himself capable of defense against the Force, but what about the superheated plasma? She twirled her blade for the hums of war to sound. The healer didn’t bother to respond to the man. He had already riled her temper, caused the fires of frustration to spark within her chest like a bad feeling or a mistake.

“As if.” She dared him. “You don’t even need one, a loss of family is what gives you strength, isn’t it? A font of energy to devour and let seep in to spread pain and misery across the galaxy?”

Her hands both grabbed a hold of her saber as she raised it above her head. A powerful swing descended upon the man and she quickly followed it up by another in a sharp horizontal sweep. She found a small measure of peace in it. She followed it up by a collection of attacks all striving to create a great chain of attacks trying to cleave the man in two and in some cases three.

“I’ve spent my entire life trying to forget what happened and I can’t do it.” She finally thrust her saber towards the man’s pelvis. “So please! Just let it end!”

She remained kneeling with her arms still extended as if she was just leaving herself open in a momentary pause.

“Please.”

In his hunched over position still gripping her wrist Vengeance didn't have time to react more than a quick turning of his head the kick catching him behind the ear. He stumbled back slightly letting go of her wrist shaking his head with a laugh. He took advantage of her taunting to shake off the kick. Her comments made him laugh.

"Weak you poor dear child." "Were you not the one who was just looking up at me from your back." "Is now really the best time for that?" "Shouldn't you be saving that for a more appropriate location and time." "Don't get me wrong you are cute but you are not her."

Vengeance laughed at her laugh at her ridiculousness.

"You jedi are so deluded." "You know nothing outside of the dogmatic teachings of your code." "Sith do not fear emotions we embrace them, we mold them, we bend them to serve our needs."

He smiled has she stalked forward.

"Mastering the force is not my goal young Jedi." "My goal is Mastering myself first, and then my enemy." "So that those that who have wronged me shall know my Vengeance."

When she brought her saber doing towards his head Vengeance brought his saber up at an angel blade point down as he side stepped attempting to make her blade sliding down his. Her saber deactivating only serve to provide less resistance not more as his side stepped brought him behind her the punch missing entirely.

Pivoting Vengeance brought his saber up in a two handed grip slashing horizontally even with her back right at her shoulders blades. As he finished the follow through of the slash he let go of his saber with his left hand a full blast of lightening shooting form his free hand towards her. He would show her how weak he was, he would show her exactly what he was about. She would know the Vengeance for which he was so aptly named or he would die trying.

The girl hadn't expected her attacks to be blocked or miss, but then again, she didn't expect absolutely anything anymore. All she could feel inside was the strange pot of emotions, mixing up into something she had always tried to fight against -- something she had never wanted to have any effect on her.

She turned to the man with a quick motion while she ignited her saber once again and brought the blade against the red one of the Sith's. But the lightning managed to surprise her once again and she could not too much against it other than to turn her body slightly to the left. It didn't save her from getting hit, though. The shock hit her at her chest first and then made it to the rest of her body.
"AARGH!"
She took quick steps backwards while she put her left hand on the place where she had gotten hit. Her right hand, however, still held the saber's hilt and didn't seem to let go.

"When will you realise..." she started talking, her tone getting angrier with every word, "... that I am not a Jedi. Your pathetic mind doesn't seem to grasp the concept of who I am. Maybe your brain needs a slight surgery? Even with a decapitated head you'd be smarter than you are right now."

Her mouth formed a smile which was a strange thing to happen, considering in what pains she were. All around her body, she could feel the burning sensation, bruises, sharp and blunt pain. But that only empowered her anger.

"Sith are so weird," she chuckled. "You forget the fact that emotions are a temporary effect. You try to mold them and hope for a permanent effect. But you can't have permanent effects. Your passion dies, your anger disappears and the only thing which remains is fear."

She shook her head while maintaining her smile and continuing to walk backwards.

"Even your Dark Lord is afraid. He needs voices and hands and eyes and whatever else to do his job. You may say he is convenient and doesn't need to come to the battlefield or whatever other lies you come up with. But in the end of the day, he is just afraid of death."

Her walking started to turn more circular -- she didn't want to leave the room, but walk in circles in it while still keeping the front of her body in the man's direction.

"The Grandmaster of the Jedi Order is most likely here today. She fights. She gives everything for the faction. She is loyal, brave. And doesn't have to hide."

She took her left hand from her chest and touched her belt to see if her blaster was still there. It seemed to be there, but she had no idea of its condition.

Just to be sure, she wouldn't use it yet. But she continued stroking the metal of this blaster and, within a short moment, her smile turned into a devilish grin and her left hand raised so that she could try to Force Push the man.

Objective B
Wide open mind, far away from reality.
Enemy: [member="Darth Carach"]
Allies: 1v1, so none.

Voices called out from the back of her mind. Distorted by the track of time, muddled by a mind that had long since tried to forget. She began to shake as tears welled up on their own like if someone turned a valve to let the floodgates open. An errant hand reached out to catch her fall as her body seemed will to slump down into an unresponsive pile on the floor.

“Yes I do.” The healer whispered in exhaustion. “I... Do...”

For a second the voices calmed and her mind was allowed a moment’s notice of peace between the battlefield, the memories and the internal struggle. She just existed in this void she had woken up to. A great expanse of black containing nothing but her own body and mind floating around as if it was all that could exist in this plane where all was at peace.

Then it began to sneak up on her. A several voices returning in a gradual increase of volume as each scene played out with incredible clarity at the same time. Repressed memories and experiences she had tried to forget. She tried to scream but there was no sound, not a single squeak to indicate she had control over the situation.

“You’re back, Kana.” A familiar voice echoed as a tall man stepped into the light around her. “You don’t look like you’re doing too well.”

His hand extended itself towards her face and she tearfully tried to turn away, tried to realise he wasn’t there but it didn’t work. His hand stroked across her cheek and the tears began to well up even more. It all felt real, the touch of her father’s hand as it traced along her jawline felt far too real as if her mind wanted her to think it was.

“Come now, no need to be afraid. You have been thinking a lot about me lately, haven’t you?” The man began to change, his appearance swapping for that of a younger boy just a little bit older than Kana had been when she ran away from home. Youve wondered how your life had gone so wrong, what you could have done differently. Anything to know if you could have prevented it from happening.”

“You see that’s your problem, Kana.” The apparition of Elias leaned in for her ear in a whisper. “You can’t.”

Rapid imagery of a lone girl walking out through the grand gates flooded her mind along with the memories of the drunken nights, the hollowness within her soul and the methods of which she had tried to fill it. Tears hadn’t worked and no matter the amount it would seem alcohol hadn’t helped either.

The images stopped and Kana was left alone with only herself and the void again.

“You want to tear me down, don’t you?” Her mother’s voice called out. “You always were a mistake, a pitiful little whelp. An accident brought to life because of your father.”

Kana tried to slowly reach out for her mother but no matter how hard she tried she just couldn’t move.

“You are so close to it, Kana. Use it, give in, do it!” But the girl refused to let the voices and memories bubble up to the surface again. “Make your dreams come true and strike me down.”

She had lived through this once, she could muster up enough courage to go through it again.

Right?

It was the eeriest feeling to gaze up into the sky and see a missile headed straight for you and your men, and then, just as it was about to hit, get sucked into nothingness and silence. The entire canyon itself seemed to be holding its breath as what looked like two starfighter missiles came hurling through the sky, with laser-focused accuracy, only to be gulped into the dovin basals of the Rakamat. The battle beasts with their thickly plated hides, showed no sign of distress as the warheads were absorbed into the Maker only knew where. Fascinating creatures.

The Sith Lord turned his attention to giving the Republic a little payback. Using the eyes of his Hadzuska Rowa, Sage ordered both his Rakamat to turn their Yarek-Kor to new prey. With a shriek and a groan the siege lizards turned their Yarek-Kor to judiciously fire their molten energy balls at the two separate swaths of canyon from whence the missiles came, two Mythosaurs on the rocky ridge (H-14 and F-14)

Once the order was given, Sage began to channel the Dark Side through some of the Hadzuska Rowa, using them as conduits for his powers. Like a river, the Force flowed through them, only to seek out the warm life forces of the remaining soldiers (23 Storm Commandos at J12) in the walkers, the ones who did not drown themselves as he so politely asked. Using his skillful mentalism powers, flowing through his shadow wolves, Sage attempted to penetrate the fragile membranes of the commandos' minds once again. Without a reasonable defense against the Sith Mind Twist, he would plant the very powerful suggestion that the soldiers turn their weapons on each other and fire in a gleeful and demoralizing massacre of their comrades.

The rest of his Hadzuska Rowa, their bodies huffing and swirling in the crevasse, would be used for a different type of attack. The red eyes of the shadow wolves gleamed as invisible tendrils of the Dark Side flowed through their mouths, reaching out like tangled vines to try to wrap themselves around the beating hearts of walkers’ pilots. Unless the attacks from the Hadzuska Rowa were thwarted, the pilots of the Republic siege vehicles would clutch at their chests in agony as their hearts were viciously squeezed into pulp, until they beat no more.

Vengeance chuckled.

"You fight like a jedi, you hesitate like a Jedi, you retreat like a Jedi, feth you even lecture like a Jedi."

He smirked at her.

"If it looks like a Jedi, acts like a Jedi and walks like a Jedi then it is a Jedi." "Unless you have a name you wish me to carve on your tombstone JEDI."

Vengeance emphasized that last Jedi just to annoy her. To push her buttons even has she retreated and circled.

"Don't blame me the only way you can fight is to have your Grand Master here to hold your hands." "Shall I wait while you call mommy or are you going to fight little Jedi." "Go ahead call mommy I can wait."

He chuckled as she reached towards the blaster on her hip. He shook his head bracing for the push letting it hit him using the momentum carry him into a flip his feet hitting the back wall before he leaped back towards her into a tuck and roll forward popping up in front of her.

"Got to do better than that."

Vengeance took his lightsaber and shot it forward to impale her in the chest before flicking his wrist rotating around to strike her right shoulder slashing towards her left shoulder flipping his wrist over a second time he slashed from left back towards the center.

Lilin was not prepared for the leap at all, but she had to act fast to survive that. When the Sith tried to thrust forward into her chest, she raised her lightsaber vertically to hit the man's saber's blade from her left, parrying the slash to her left shoulder, giving her the time to lean backwards so that she wouldn't get hit with the second slash.

While she leaned forward again and slashed with it vertically, trying to hit the man's stomach, she released the hilt with her left hand and raised it quickly higher to release a Force power she had not used too many times, but which was the only real power she could use successfully other than Telekinesis.

A sudden lightburst came out of her hand, one power known as Force Blinding. She would use the sudden blindness to take out her blaster, aim at the man's right foot and step away from him while pulling the trigger.

"Maye you should call your mother?"

The threat of the Incom executives waking up one day and deciding to activate the self-destruct on all remaining Stealth X-wings had not been a thought Ryan Korr relished. So, the mechanics at the Jedi Order had partially dismantled the Stealth Xs, removed the self-destruct capabilities, then pieced the ship back together. Korr had other ideas in store for a new incarnation of the X-wing, but for now he was satisfied with the knowledge that a disenfranchised corporate lackey no longer had the power to hit a big red button and wipe him and his entire squadron from existence.

He eyed the fighter wing through the cockpit. One thing at a time.

"Going dark."

As one, the pilots of the XJ-7 Stealth X-wings shut off their comm systems and became invisible on the battlefield.

While the fighter wing moved to erect a screen around the Dasher and her accompanying flotilla, Sable Squadron detached itself from the rest and slipped like phantoms through the inky depths of space. The opposing force loomed, growing larger with every passing second. Ryan could now make out the individual shapes of the star fighters near the capital ships, as thick as a swarm of locusts. He rubbed a hand slick with sweat against his thigh, then gripped the controls tightly. The sight of the enemy's sheer numerical advantage evoked creeping tendrils of dread that began to seep into him, cloying.

Eyes the pallor of steel glanced at the targeting display. Korr's lips twitched before compressing into a grim line. They were only droids.

Reaching out in the Force, the Jedi Master initiated a mind meld in the Force. The effectiveness and unity of action would be hindered by the nullification resin installed in the elite star fighter, but as a form of communication it remained operable. The sensation of a dozen other presences soon blossomed in his mind.

"Padawan Varik, take Besh Flight and head for the outermost Sev'rance carrier. Destroy the bridge. I will take Aurek Flight and eliminate its hangar. One pass will suffice."

Korr looked at his targeting display again.

Npc after this post:
0/1 x AT-FAT
1/2 x diggers
219/230 stormtroopers.

There was a muffled sound from the cockpit and the AT-FAT seemed to stumble to its left. A groining metalic protest resouned all threw its hull.

The stormtroopers packed inside looked at each other, underneath their helmets nervous expressions spread. These transports were tough as hell but the OS bombardment was something else.

"Keep it together soldiers."" weiss ordered and got to his feet. He used the wall to support himself while moving through the tight areas of the walkers interior. There was another muffled explossion outside and whatever it was caused the vehicle to yet again shift in an unwanted manner. This time to the right. Weiss sumbled and hit the floor with a knee. The hull vibrated as the AT-FAT crew fired its own weapon toward whatever was firing at them.

Another explossion shook the walker. Something burst and steam poured out into one of the corridors. For a moment all went black, then the red emergency lights was turned on. Weiss pressed himself to standing again and hit the button unlocking the cockpit door. It flew open revealing the head off the walker. Its crew working franticly answering to various attacks, malfunctions as well as trying to keep up with the other walkers.
But Weiss barely noticed them at first. Outside the window the world was on fire. A terrible and amazing sight unwrapped itself before him. Walkers moved through a fiery ocean while the dark sky was ripped apart by... Bugs?

"Sir, we are recieving fire from Yaret-kor missiles, and something else hit us, it is slowly melting through our armor. There us a chance we wont make it to the objective." the AT-FAT commander reported as Weiss stuck his head inside.

"Yara-koh? What?" Weiss began still a bit distracted by the scenery outside the eye-window of the walker. As he saw the commander beginning to explain Weiss stopped him straight away.

A huge bug exploded to close and the walker staggered to the right. This was not looking good.

"Alright, this is what I need you to do. Keep returning long range fire. Lower the walker to the ground just right about there..." he pointed toward a cliff wall to their right not to far away. "Lower it but do not open the belly until I give the order."

Weiss turned, and parried another shake from a bug exploding a bit more far off.

He then switched to another frequency.

"Digger one and two! Proceed to this coordinate ASAP! Digger one breach a cave for us to take cover in. Digger two proceed further up and make us a second cave as plan B. Get moving!" Weiss could feel the walker moving again. Now and then an explossion tore at its hull and the red emergency light was now not even steady, it blinked its irritating light instead.

Minutes passed, precious minutes passed as diggers drilled their way, vapourising stones into nothingness. Soon digger one reported its success but digger two only managed to start before a bug hit too close.

It did not matter, they only needed one escape route.

With the AT-FATs knees folded underneath it the belly was opened and under cover off the massive machine Weiss and his troops exited the walker and hit the ground running toward the tunnel that digger one had made. A few unlucky troopers touched in with the napalm as they sprinted across the bombarded ground, but the distance from the immobile walker and the cave entrance was no more then 15 meters.

While digger one kept going further inside the mountain. Weiss raised his fist, having his men secure the entrance. They watched as the walker tried to get to its feet again. A small bug hit its right back leg and it yanked backwards exposing its neck where a second bug hit jack pot. The head exploded and the bidy collpased. Its metal skeleton still providing some shelter for the 337th inside the tunnel. But the situation was far from good.

Weiss switched to command frequency with a grim expression.

"Captain Hadrix, this is Lieutenant Weiss of the IR 337th storm corp company. We have failed to reach location L10 due to the heavy bombardment. We lost our walker but suffered minor infantry losses. The situation is that we are trapped in a temporary cave shelter near L10." Weiss looked around, his hud flashing to night vision.

"We can try to tunnel us further up ahead, I still got one digger. Or we can sit tight until the napalm is put out. Requesting orders m'am."

Micah’s hand snapped up to catch the Terentaktek cuffs. They were part of the dozen he’d pilfered from his mother, who had them stored away back at home collecting dust. His mother had been a Jedi Investigator, and it was during the first Southern Systems Business Bazaar Expo that the up and coming Rave Merrill had gifted her with a dozen of the cuffs, aware of Master Liadain’s due diligence.

They may be a bit old, but they sure got the job done. The hide used was specially treated, retaining its resistance to the Force. A Force user would find the cuffs very difficult or impossible to unlock or break using the Force. Force enchanced feats of strength would generally result in the user cutting off their own hands as the durasteel cable core comes into play. A lightsaber could cut the cuffs on simple contact, but not accurately, as very accurate feats of force guided sabre use would require a better sense of the cuffs -- and since the Terentaktek hide resists force powers due to very ancient alchemy… welp, that meant that the only way to get out of them were with the key.

Shocking!

“Working on that,” Micah tossed out, setting the cuffs on the floor for a second while he returned to his frisk. Strange, the woman only appeared armed with a saber and the Force. Well, that’s new. Most Sith or Darksiders he’d come across loved being top Hutt when it came to armor and all the fancy doodads. What he did find were two sabers.

“Can’t have you using those, Blondie,” he’d quip to the unconscious woman, taking both to tuck against the magnetic clips he wore. Snatching ujp the cuffs, he snapped them open, leaning closer to draw the girl up against him. He would have to move her arms to her back, cuffing both wrists with a twist to ensure her hands would remain secure.

The first snap and lock came around her left wrist.

“We are close to the exit here… think we can take her back?” He was right, a good stun bolt would assure that she stayed under for a while longer. Off in the distance, he could sense [member="Aela Talith"] holding her own ground. But that didn’t stop the slight twist of concern he held for her.
