Follow the yellow brick road(Feena Mason)

Tea... oh she enjoyed tea and the small influx of Atrisian jedi had brought a smile to her face with that. Well okay... she wasn't certain if Feena had jasmine tea, even the jedi's version which was good by her standards paled compared to some apparently. One of the diner had called it nasty hot leaf juice. "Jasmine with lots of sugar if possible."

The Eternal Queen
Jasmine. Feena looked at the tea pot then picked up the little bell on the edge of the tray and rang for K again. On cue, the droid walked back in.
"Was there a problem with the tea, Lady?" the droid asked in it's smooth as silk voice.

"No. My tea is perfect as always, but the young Lady here has requested Jasmine. Do we have any in stock?"

"I believe so," the droid answered, "I shall make a personal pot for her. Was that all, Lady Feenarah?"

"That's it. Thank you, K."

As the droid retreated back to the kitchens, Feena turned her attention back to the girl.
"I apologize. I was not aware of your preference. I should have asked."

Feena was, if anything, a great hostess.

"It is no problem at all, when the Lords of the Fringe took atrisia there was an influx of atrisian force users fleeing and they brought their more exotic teas to the gardens. You are a most excellent host Master Mason." She sat down though and was ready to drink and have some comfort before the long and ardous lessons began. Healers went through just as much traiing as some of the warriors.

The Eternal Queen
More training than warriors, actually. You were always improving medicine. You were always learning new skills. And while this may also be true for warriors too, a warriors job was over when they had caused as much pain and destruction as possible. A healers job was never done after that.

She did not pour herself tea yet. It was only polite that the guest should have the first cup. Thankfully, K was wonderful and returned very quickly.
"I already had hot water ready," the droid explained, "Here is your tea, Miss."

K placed the smaller tray with a different tea pot next to the other tray and turned to leave.

"Now, you said sugar, yes?" Feena smiled, picking up one delicate white tea cup with one hand, and the pot with the other. With the practiced ease of a Lady, she poured tea into the cup, leaving more than enough room for however much sugar the girl wanted.

She gave a nod and bowed in the seat picking up the tea and delicately adding sugar as it went in and kept going in until there was a larger amount then most used. She was used to that southern style tea which always left a sweet taste in your mouth when you finished it. The jasmine also came through when she finished and blew lightly upon it taking a sip.. It was delicious and better then what was at the temple as she smiled nodding her head. "Thank you, it is most delicious. May I ask how a jedi comes to be in such a prestigious position?"

The Eternal Queen
Ferns smiled at the girls enjoyment. It was charming to see I've enjoy a good cup of tea, even if the amount of sugar in it did make feena cringe at the thought. But then, she asked something that made feenas smile fade a little.

"Hmm... nobody had ever really asked how I got to be here. "

Feena picked up her tea cup and took a little sip.
"...I was born here on Naboo, did you know that? My family is... well, was, quite wealthy. You see, before they knew I was sensitive, I was being trained for something else. My mother always expected the best, and from her children especially."

She had to hold in a laugh. The idea that she was back here, doing exactly what get mother had wanted would never have been on f eenas mind back when she was a Jedi. What had changed?

"By the time I left the Jedi, most of my family was dead, save my brother and I. Yet my mother's teachings stuck with me. Navigating high society has its uses. I don't want to say that it was all a product of my birth though. I had to work very hard. Almost non-stop to build up a reputation. In a way, I think I've been trying to get back here my entire life. "

She could understand that, it had been a strange time and well while not as old or full of experiences when her and her friend Lorna had been discovered in the junior academy... They had both jumped at the chance to join the jedi. Lorna for different reasons dealing with her family and her because she didn't want to be a soldier. She wanted to be a doctor and the Republic was willing to pay for the training for the small price of working hard and a few years service. "I see, I hope one day I can get back hope. Coruscant was very beautiful and then the sith attacked it. My parents stayed as far as I know."

The Eternal Queen
The mention of Coruscant got a nod from Feena.

"I trained on Coruscant. It's a big planet. The top layers are lovely, but the bottom... Have you ever been to the lower levels?"

This was an important lesson too, making the girl see the disease under the surface, and Coruscant, at least as it used to be, was a perfect example.

She gave a nod, she had went to the undercity of Coruscant... not all of it. Not the entire planet had been seen but she knew there was many problems under the surface. It was a plague of so many other things as she spoke. "I have, there was slums with people packed inside, before the jedi took me and Lorna we were sent there a few times for small riots and to keep the peace. It wasn't what I signed on for when they promised to pay for medical school."

The Eternal Queen
"And did they? Pay for you medical school I mean? If so, I can only assume the lessons were not to your liking, since you sought me out."
She took another slow sip of tea, then set her cup down. With a smile, she did something very... unusual. She cracked her knuckles and stretched.

"Well! Would you like to learn? I have a few days before I announce that I will be running for Queen. If you would like, that time can be yours."

They had and she had learned a great deal. With a smirk though the Lady Feena was right she hadn't found much help when she got to the jedi. Their healers were students trying to do just the same, learn how to heal and master it themselves. "I learned a few things, enough to be a medic and use supplies as needed and yes I am ready to begin." She rose and stretched out rolling her shoulders and popping knuckles, her neck and knees. "Ohhh I feel good that tea was amazing."

The Eternal Queen
With the last of her cup drained, Feena stood up.
"Follow me. Theres a better place to go over the basics."

Without another words, she led her out the door.

"Down in the basement is my laboratory," she explained, "You know, the key to being a great healer, is understanding biology."

[member="Feena Mason"]

That was something she liked to hear, better to do the basics somewhere she wasn't going to have to deal with ah breakable things. She might be a jedi and have the force but that didn't mean she couldn't be clumsy. Standing up to follow her teacher and master Elphaba gave a nod of her head. "Yes Master."

The Eternal Queen
Feena led her down to the basement, past the heavy bolted door and then finally into her well stocked laboratory.
"This is where I do my best work," she explained, "I've created a good few remedies using this equipment. Ignore the half- finished state of it all though. I haven't quite finished unpacking yet."

She sat down on a cold metal stool, and motioned for her to do the same.

"So what exactly do you know how to do? I want specifics. As specific as you can get."

She followed and was still taken by the size of the place. It was as big as some of the outposts and temples it seemed and going into the basement she had a moment of thought about how politician's or businessmen all respectable had secret dungeon's for slaves and other things... Only a moment, she was certain at least eighty percent Feena wasn't going to put her in chains or a saddle and make her prance around with a bit in her mouth. Then going down the stairs and seeing it all she had to admit she gave a breath of relief before going to the stool. "I have been trained as an OBGYN, trauma medic, trauma surgeon, I have some skills with healing and micro applications but that is very very draining and some skills in toxicology."

The Eternal Queen
"I see..."

Feena tilted her head to the side.

"So you really just need to learn Force healing then? At least, the proper way to do it. That's complicated. Easy to understand, but hard to learn. You need to have an understanding about how the body repairs itself naturally. All you really do is expediate cell reproduction. You understand that concept, yes?"

She gave a nod of her head, healing with the force in many ways proved superior at times at least when you were using the lightside compared to others. She had seen darkside healers and it was like putting a bandaid on a broken limb not very good. She had a decent understanding of the body though, knew a great deal about it for some species even. "Yes I do."
