Guerrilla: The Followers of Dust come from Lorrd and every one of them has been trained in the arts of survival, how to wage an asymmetric battle and win, how to remain hidden when necessary and when and where to strike for maximum consequence.
Light: They are only lightly armored and if they ever find themselves in a straight fight... it will go badly for them. They operate best in the shadows, unseen and hidden.
Alone: The very nature of their operations ensure the Followers often find themselves without much in the way of support from the Sith Empire. This can easily lead them to be outnumbered, outgunned, outmatched. They are most effective when they are in the possession of at least some outside support.
Cloak: They often utilize the personal cloaking device supplied to them by the Sith Empire, but sadly it has many gaps in its coverage. From sound to magnetism, the Followers could consider themselves stealthed and secured, only to be blindsided by a sudden attack from troops they considered ignorant.
DESCRIPTION
The Followers of Dust are a collective of freelance mercenaries and warriors originating from the world of Lorrd. A world just outside the grasp of the Sith Empire, the Followers realized soon that this stretch of independence (after the fall and abandonment by the Dominion) could not continue for very long and decided that the better choice would be to find a way to coexist.
They offered their service to the Emperor of the Sith Empire and pledged their loyalty to his cause.
Nicknamed the Dustbringers by some the Lorrdians proved themselves to be a valuable addition to the Empire's Legions. Divided into small units, their main modus operandi involves being dropped onto a hostile (or neutral) planet, prior to the Empire's engagement. They scout out the lay of the land, sabotage, infiltrate and take-out important enemy leaders. More often than not all of this occurs in close cooperation with the Saaraishash, who supplies them with valuable pre-mission intel and who in turn are supported on the field by several Dustbringers during their own missions.
It is said that the Followers of Dust are named this way, because of an enigmatic leader amidst their numbers. Literally called Dust, she (or he or it) has never been seen by any of the Sith on the field. It seems only the Sith Emperor and perhaps the Lord Inquisitor have seen her face.
Either way- outside the field the Followers are often seen as a welcome addition to the ranks of the Legion.
Their skill in Kinetic Communication and interpersonal experience make them a happy sight whenever a dispute arises. The fact that whenever a battle turns sour, it is likely a Dustbringer's support allows the Legion to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat doesn't hurt either.
