"Yes. I feel that those that dominate or oppress have already given up on finding solutions for their world's problems."

She started on her greens now. "Are you sure that you haven't worked in government before? You have the right mindset for it."

He laughs"Oh no I haven't I'm just your common guy.I just understand the government stuff I would be good at it anyways I wouldn't trust anyone I work with.I wouldn't even the ones that were supposed to be my allies."

She nodded as she began to eat more of her steak. Trust was something that she carried in spades. She gave others the benefit of the doubt plenty of times and only once or twice did it ever bite her in the butt. Not too many people chose to lie to her. But everyone had their motives and some would play her to get what they wanted. And they weren't just people that worked in government.

"I don't know many people in the Republic. I could count the numbers of people on one hand. Most of those that I know belong to other governments in the Galaxy. I thought that would be a good asset for me. But thankfully I have been left to just do my own work and only appear for meetings and voting sessions, which is fine by me. I'd rather not be stuck in one place."

He eats some of his steak as he thought of what to say. When he got done chewing he took another drink of his whiskey."Well working the way you do can bring alot of trouble. But it also his an important way to move things forward and has a better chance of making things better.I don't really know anyone in the republic I try to stay away from getting to know people."

She nodded in agreement with his points. Oh she's gotten into plenty of trouble since involving herself with what's been going on in the Galaxy, even before going into the Senate.

"I must do the same, despite what an old friend and his mother say. It isn't fair for anyone if loved ones get hurt just to punish me. I went through that once and never will I allow it again."

She finished off her greens. "I hope that if you think that any plan of mine is too rash that you'll be bold enough to tell me, even argue with me to make me see."

"Thank you. I know that it's an odd thing to ask, but sometimes a different point of view is beneficial."

Kay half wondered just what exactly she was hiring him for? A bodyguard and an advisor? Well it's not as though some of her friends hadn't done the same tasks. She just never had to pay them. Only helped them out when they needed it.

She smiled and nodded before wiping her mouth with her napkin. Kay flagged down the waiter for the bill, giving the appropriate amount of credits to cover it and a tip.

Then without further ado, she got to her feet. "Shall we?" It was time for them to leave.

He gets up as soon as she did and move to follow behind."Yes we shall and since we are both force users would you like to talk about force techniques.I'm willing to learn about the force."

Kay paused for half a step as he so boldly spoke about being a Force user in public. But she continued on to her ship, waiting until she was safely inside before taking her seat in the passenger room. Once Nate got in, the hatches would close and the ship would ready itself for take off and plot a course for Republic space.

And it was there that she chose to answer his question. "I am not a Knight or a Master, but yes I can discuss it. But please, not in public. There are many out there that distrust Force users and I could lose my job with the Senate if I am discovered. So let us keep it to ourselves, okay?"

[member="Lady Kay"]
He looks away alittle"I'm sorry about that."He then sits down."I'm not a knight or master myselfb more do I agree with the Jedi code and all the rules. To much of a pain for someone like me."

"It's okay. I don't think that anyone heard you anyways. As far as the Jedi code and rules go, they aren't for everyone. Which parts don't you agree with?"

She buckled herself in, having been in enough crashes to realize that seatbelts saved lives.

Nate sat in the seat next to her and put his seatbelt on."It's not so much the rules and code themselves I just don't follow rules well.So since I don't follow rules well is the issue it's more me then them."

"I understand. There are some things that they do that I don't agree with as well. And when I find anything that I don't agree with from anybody, I'm not afraid to question it."

Moments later the freighter jumped into hyperspace and they were on their way to Commoner.

"Then we should get along just fine." She offered him a small smile and then looked out one of the windows. "Have you ever been to Commenor?"

"Well it's in Republic space as you may well know. And it's a planet heavy in trade. One of my allies has made a trade deal with me, so he's having some ports constructed in some of the industrial parks. To be sure that nothing illegal is going on down there, we have to inspect them, which we have the authority to do."

He sighed he always tends to stay away from big trading place not his type of place to many people."Ahh no wonder I haven't been I'm not big on that type of stuff.Sorry I'm not a big people person but looks like we have to go."
