Energy Consumption: The mere energy required to power one of the Force Disruptor Fields could power a city for a week at a time. This is one of the problems of the Shield. As a result, production has been limited.
Hacking: Slicing in to the field and changing the exceptions to not be ones is possible. This is another reason the Field is viewed as undesirable.
Overpowered Jedi / Sith: Jedi and Sith with a very strong connection to the Force could overpower the Field and render it useless. This is another reason the field has not been mass produced yet.
Damaging the Emitter: Damage to the Emitter shuts down the Field.
Leaving the Field: Leaving the Field prevents it from working.
Force Use Outside the Field: If someone were to lift and throw a boulder or item for example from outside the Field it would continue on it's path. It only prevents use of the Force inside the Field minus the exceptions of course.
Bullets: Bullets and similar weaponry would be effective against the Generators and any who are inside the Field. After all, it simply lessens the Force rather than serves as any form of other protection whatsoever.
It is useless against insulated armor, and the like.
DESCRIPTION
Studies of Stun Blasters led Taji to invent a sort of "Stun Field" that could prevent the use of the Force within it by producing a Field that lessened the concentration and focus of people who were inside the field. The Field requires a wristband that stimulates the neural activity of the brain allowing them to overcome the effects of the Field so they can continue to use the Force.
The Field is something that requires massive amounts of energy.
The FIeld was also created so it would not hurt the Force Users.
It has an external power pack, and an internal backup.
The Field has the length of a Football Field. However, the use of neural stimulators including Adrenaline and other chemicals that can augment the function of the brain. The Exceptions to the Field that are granted by specialized wrist-bands are protected from the effects of the Field.
