OOC/ Feel free to NPC Jacen making corrections or some assisting Knights. I won't have time to individually respond as we go all the time
Jacen moved through the group, making corrections as he went. At times he would seem a little curt, but there were lots of people in the lesson. One person's foot was given a swift tap with his own to correct position and without warning he pulled the stave from another to show that their grip was poor. Once he was finished going through all in turn he made a quick final pass down the line. A slow node of the head confirmed he was content.
"Right then," he said slowly. "Basic guard positions..."
He then ignited his own blade, taking the group through a series of positions. He took time to show how the position of the feet had to change for each and when to assume each, whether that was based on the direction of the strike or distance to an opponent or the style being used.
"Right then, I want to see you all slowly moving through each of the basic guards. Remember you either need to be able to fluidly move between blocks to force them to work hard, or keep your saber in the middle ground to force them to deal with that first. The threat of a saber through the face when trying to make a strike is just as effective a defence as being prepared for the block."
Once again he started to move through the group as they moved through low to high guards, with alternative positions for close in opponents when the saber had to be brought closer in with bent elbows.
