From Bespin, With Love [OP MICO Secret Agents]

Fondor,

MICO Headquarters Withing Omega Towers,

Going through the documents of latest mission, H, the Director of Intelligence and head of the MICO division, sat in her office within Omega Towers. Her hair bore a prim cut grey hair, her face baring wrinkles of advanced age,

184ow2twmecddjpg.jpg
The new mission sent to her was pertaining to old corrupted influence on Bespin and new mining operations being started there by certain corporations, mainly Abregado Rae Guild of Hammers and the Firemane. It seems that somebody on the planet was trying to intercept their shipments, begun to sell black market goods, and caused general trouble and mischief on the important planet. Although it could be another pirate or crime syndicate somebody spoke of a Bando Gora remnant survivor, still baring a grudge against the Protectorate and swearing to win the war in the end.

It sure sounded like a job for some agents to find out what really was going on among the mines of Bespin and its Cloud Cities and solve the issue!

And so the most promising Junior Agents of MICO were summoned to H's office to be briefed on the mission and told what their objectives were. However, it seemed HK himself wanted to get a word in on the mission as he was scheduled to call in via holotransmission once the debriefing begun.

"Agents, have a seat."

H ordered in cold, stoic voice once the Junior Agents would enter.

Whatever it was that she was called for Jenna Templar, a juinor agent of the MICO agents, knew it had to be big. Mainly because as she'd later found out once she arrived at Omega Towers she was not the only one to be called to the office of H, the head of the whole division.

As she'd made her way up to the office where H herself was waiting Jenna seemed more eager than ever. She hoped that whatever assignment she'd been called for was a big one that would mean possible promotion. Jenna was tired of being considered a 'junior agent' when she was old enough and had been xperienced enough to deserve a little more recognition; as least as far as she was concerned. She couldn't help but picture what it would be like to be considered a full-time agent, even thinking of some elaborate ceremony where she would be given a medal and all. Childish, yes, but she didn't care.

When she arrived at the office with the other agents she was quiet the whole time, wanting to keep a professional posture and tone while meeting with H. When asked to sit she made her way over, though seemed to hurry to get the cloest seat to H's desk; trying to outrun the others. Once she claimed it she crossed her legs and sat stright and attentive while waiting to her the debreifing.

Muuri sat down upon being told to with a glance to Telgath. She was situated farther in the back, not caring where her seat was. She felt very squirmy and awkward in this situation. Muuri had only ever worked with Telgath, but now she was working for someone else with more than just her brother. It was a large step for her, but not impossible.
She was actually glad this was happening. For her, this meant that she and Telgath no longer needed to be tight with money or left wanting. In fact, Muuri wanted to start studying more once she got the chance. However, she was still unfamiliar with how to work for these people, and much she still needed to learn. But as before: this was her first step into a different life style and, hopefully, a better one.

Telgath stood for a moment longer after the command was given. He then sat making sure his sister was already seated. He wasn't as sure in this setting, the clean areas and neatly kept people were things that he hardly had experience in. He was unsure of how this would proceed. Like his sister he was a little more comfortable with less sophisticated areas. His expertise tended to be in things such as working on ships or talking in smoke filled bars. He hoped that he would get used to the nauseating smell of cleanliness.

He wondered what they were going to do for these people. Before it would have been simple, simply trick them into giving him money or ship parts. But now, the people were his bosses, he hadn't had a boss for years and it did not feel the greatest to have to obey one now. He also figured that this was a good place to be, even if it was very different to what he was used to. If his sister was pleased to be here then he would be fine.

Assignments often came with flashing red lights which demanded immediate attention. Erela looked at the one currently blinking at her she contemplated the opening of the message. She was a good shadow always following orders, arriving early, and never left anyone behind, well except for the one time. Erela shook her head now was not the time to consider all of that.

Recent history had shown her that even though you put your life in the hands of another not all of them were trustworthy, and not all shared the same beliefs as she did. She had sent a note back to Satne and explained that while she was still a Shadow Guard that honored her home, and their customs she had taken a position within the faction known throughout the galaxy as The Protectorate. It sounded official nothing hidden, and projected the image that they were an agency of protection. How her sister in arms, and blood would handle the news was yet to be seen.

Flipping the tiny switch that displayed the message she saw that it was indeed a call to a meeting. A meeting Erela deduced that it also meant an assignment. Threading her way through streets, walksways, and hallways till she found the right door had been an adventure in navigation.

Sliding inside she nodded to everyone and found a seat that gave her a clear view. Erela not only heard with her ears, she heard and felt with her eyes. Movement, body language, tension on words, all of these gave her the idea of what was said, and what was meant.

For now she would listen.

H nodded in satisfaction as each of the agents she has summoned has taken their seat without any conflicts or conflicts. Once they all took their space she begun again,

"It came to our attention that unknown party has begun to cause issues for Protectorate's operations on Bespin, to tell you the details Exarch 36 has been gracious enough to call and brief you himself."

She would speak in cold but calculated tone as she turned slightly towards the holotransmitter built into her desk, its blue light sparking up as the image of their nations droid political figure appeared.

However only a portion of his head appeared, to be more accurate only the upper portion.

"Greetings young agents. As Exarch of Abregado-Rae I require MICO's services in investigating matter much foul-"

The droid begun, his head moving back and forth, still largely invisible,

"Sir-"

H begun to cut him off,

"Sir."

She repeated until finally the droid spun around in the hologram to look at her,

"Yes, Director of Intelligence?"

"We have you in a hologram set for the caller standing."

"But I am sitting."

"Yes, we only see the top of your head right now."

The droid paused as he calculated, before standing up, finally his face would be visible to them via the hologram transmission, along with a portion of his chest, just the cleavage, ladies, don't go crazy.

"I swear to Force, I had the same thing happen to me just few weeks ago. Can build bloody rail guns and compound lasers, can not adjust those bloody holograms."

The machine muttered to himself before looking back to the agents.

"As I was saying, matter most foul. The corporation heading Abregado's industry under my leadership has holdings on Bespin, along with our partners from Kaeshana,"

Kaeshana being the planet within Protectorate famous for its Eldorai inhabitants, also known as Space Elves, masters of elemental aspects of the Force,

"Their main purpose is mining Cortosis for armaments in our war against the Sith. However, it has came to my attention that someone has begun to recently try to sabotage our operations there. Some shipments went missing, reports of illegal weaponry and substances trade reached our agents, and we had reports of unknown agent conducting riot and sabotage attempts aimed at our repulsorlift platforms, so far unsuccessful. Your job will be simple, go to Bespin, find out who is behind these attempts, recover missing Cortosis shipments, confiscate any black market goods you will be able to find tied to this case, and silence the trouble maker."

The droid paused, letting the objectives sink in,

"Due to recent history of Bespin, specifically how the Protectorate took it over from the Dark Side cult of Bando Gora, known for experimenting on its inhabitants both in biological and psychological means through Sith Alchemy and the Force in hopes of controlling their minds, we are led to believe this is some odd remnant of these cultists trying to stage guerrilla warfare of sorts against us. Either that or small-time pirate. As such we classify them as Low to Intermediate level threat as of this moment, your goal is to nip this problem in the bud before it becomes something more."

So basically they were being given a rather easy assignment to start with before whoever this is starts to really cause trouble for the Protectorate,

"However, if this is indeed a cultist, beware, for their arsenal is often wide and specialized in tricking both the eyes as the minds, do not be fooled easily."

The machine nodded before looking to H,

"Now, Director of Intelligence, would you kindly go through tactics for the mission?"

H nodded back, looking to the Junior Agents then,

"You will be separated into two teams, Agents Templar and Annan."

She looked specifically to Jenna and Erela,

"You will be sent to Cloud City to investigate the Black Market lead and gather any other leads you will be able to tie to this case, you are also to speak with one of the local Harbormasters to find out where exactly the shipments of Cortosis going from the Outpost went missing."

Then she would turn to Muuri and Telgath,

"Agents Lethar, due to your specific background and skillset,"

She referred to them being con artists,

"You are being given temporary identities for this mission as new Cortosis smelters named Irella and Origan Ga'krok, become familiar with these names and new identities,"

She would pass to them two datapads, each with information about their fictional biographies, birth dates, fake favorite pets, etc.

"You will receive documents to go along with these temporary identities on your way there. You will go into deep undercover on the Mining Outpost, your job is to find out description and identity of whoever is responsible for trying to cause riots. Make the best of your time there for your identities will expire at the end of this mission."

She would look back to the other pair,

"Once these primary objectives are complete you will rendezvous on the Cloud City in a secure location provided by MICO, exchange your findings, and proceed from there."

H nodded once more, HK just watching them silently through the holotransmitter,

"If that is all understood, let us move on to what your equipment will be."

Crazy Never Looked this Good
When HK's face had come into hologram view Jenna had tried to supress a giggle at the fact that they could only see his head, especially how he tried to recover from that little mishap bu muttering to himself. She'd met him on a few occasions and thought he was more professional than this, apprently not as flawless as he tried to make himself out to be. Still when he'd fixed himself and was ready to speak she kept her mind back into the attention of the debreifing.

As the situation of Cloud City and the history lesson was given Jenna found it a little suprising to know what had been going on. Given that it was stolen shipments and the like Jenna was, at first, inclined to think it was a crime gang at work. But with the added information on caused riots and the like she began to see otherwise. What had started to worry Jenna was the idea of dealing with force users like the Sith. They had thier powers behind them and Jenna, as well as the other agents, only had guns and their own wits to keep them alive. And if they were part of this underground cult then things could only get worse from there.

Now being told of the mission proceduers Jenna gave a quick glance over to [member="Erela Annan"], as she was partnered with her. She'd taken a moment to examine her, seeing as she was an attractive woman like her, which did beg the idea of two women like themselves needed to browse the black market for information. She just hopped Agent Annan was up to it as she was. She only heard some of the parts in the mission both [member="Telgath"] and [member="Muuri Lethar"] had, only recalling that they would need to meet with them in cloud city once they'd found what they needed.

After that came talk of equipment which Jenna was eager to know. One thing she always liked knowing for a mission was what weapons and tools were acceptable, aside from one of everything.

[member="HK-36"]

Telgath smiled to himself as the droid tried to remedy the mishap. He questioned the professionalism of this droid, he further questioned the fact that they were working for a droid. He had not worked for somebody before, and now the first thing that he was working for was a droid! It was a little much to handle, but he told himself that he could take care of it. As he listened to the droid's informative speech, he felt a bit intimidated by the idea of facing Sith. Any Force user could easily beat him, or so he had heard from the stories. He had never met one, but he had heard many tales and stories of their practically infinite power. He had never heard of any weaknesses aside from their almost complete reliance on the Force.

He listened to both sides of the mission as H spoke. This was much more complex than anything he had pulled in the past. Though he doubted it would be too difficult, so long as he and Muuri didn't grab too much attention. As he read the character he would be playing he grimaced. He bit his tongue from saying what he thought, "I hate Gizka." But apparently that was to be his new favorite pet... He was just glad that it wouldn't mean he had to get one. The basic information was easy and he soon had basic birth date and a little bit of the biography memorized. He tried to only remember the things that were important in the life of this person who he was to become.

Muuri was quite amused at seeing the HK unit having troubles with commlink. In her eyes, however, it was not very professional, and he should have a basic knowledge of how to them. But she listened with all ears and payed close attention to the details. She had learned in other incidents in her profession that remembering any detail, however significant, can prove to be quite helpful. Muuri wasn't quite pleased upon hearing this could be a larger organization than just a few rebelling people. She hadn't ever risked such high factors. Although, working with a team now did seem a wiser choice than working as one or two.

Muuri gladly accepted the datapad and gave it a quick scan. Her eyes immediately jumped to important information, such as birthday, family, and large occurrences in the life of the fiction person. Later, she would study it more and focus on more personal level. She couldn't imagine what kind of pet she would have, as those things never crossed her mind. As long as it wasn't a kowakian monkey-lizard, Muuri would be fine with the choice.

Upon the mention of equipment, Muuri became excited. All the times she stole or tricked people, it all depended upon her wits and surroundings (and, of course, Telgath). With the option of having equipment to help, she would feel much more confident; unless it was a weapon she had to carry.

Erela too looked over to view her partner in crime for this mission [member="Jenna Templar"] she was cute, curvy and looked to have a most delicate tender mouth. Erela smiled though the features of her partner were enticing, if she found her so others would as well, and that would work to their advantage when need be.

She could see that working with her on Bespin would provide them each time to hone skills of deception, and skills of manipulation. A black market lead, with two of them they could go about this in stages. Yes there were many options to how they could approach what they would choose would be of mutual agreement, and according to their individual strengths.

A habormaster would be a bit more difficult but not much, they were often bribed to divert, or redirect depending on the level of need, and cortosis could bring about a lot of need.

Only now did Erela look over to [member="HK-36"] and nod that she understood and was ready.

H and HK both nodded as the agents took all the information in and were ready for their gear, as H got ready the supplies hidden behind her desk HK begun,

"The equipment you will use has been provided to you by Abregado-Rae Guild of Hammers and Firemane we cooperate with, you can keep it with you once the mission is over but you have to cover cost of replacing, modifying, or repairing these equipments yourself, of course unless your future missions will present you with possibility for MICO or our industries to cover such costs."

And so H presented them with what looked like 4 amulets, Droid Exarch explained,

"These are Hold-Out Bolters from Firemane, easily concealable they are armed by performing a series of rotations on the cap, this code will be different for each of you and will be sent onto your datapads once you leave this office. It can be armed with solid slug, buckshot, or explosive ammunition, as such it can easily save your life, but be wary, for most likely you will not get a chance to fire off a second shot from it, so if you do have to use it, make it count."

Next, H would pull out four suits of robes and tunics, nothing too outstanding, very much in appearance as anything a common citizen would wear, four pairs of what appeared to be a bit longer gloves, and four slightly fancy hats.

"Next are outfits from ARGH, suits of Armor Mesh clothing and headware made from Nocur leather, they have a rating of 4 on armor scale, they will stop a few blaster shots and in extreme cases you can use the hats as additional weapon, although technically Light to Medium armor in appearance they seem to be normal clothing, soon enough you will notice they are slightly heavier. You are also being given Electro Cestus in glove variant, these gloves contain electro-shocking padding in knuckles and palms but no metal armor plates to blend in with your outfits easier, just the same they do not have Cortosis-woven talons or claws as other models do, it is just bare-bones electro gloves to help you in hand-to-hand combat and stun your targets."

Next game four pistols with a rectangular attachments to fit under their barrels,

"Those will be your standard issue weapons, SP-1 Shatterpistols made by ARGH along with a Grappling Hook attachments, fairly concealable these weapons have as much kick as a sniper rifle while firing completely silently, the drawback is low firing rate, and although this will be largest weapon in your arsenal for this mission, it can still be concealed easily if you stay smart."

Following it would be eight pistols, two for each,

"Those are SP-2 and OP BHP, a shattegun and blaster hold-out pistols, made from materials undetectable by most standard sensors and detectors, making them much more concealable than SP-1, but with lesser firepower and ammunition capacities. Still, SP-2 can penetrate through most light and medium armor models and BHP can fire off 12 shots."

After that there would come four simple black hilts,

"We call these Ember Batons of Rae, they are concealable lightsaber-resistant shock batons, they will be your primary melee weapon. The shocks they can deliver can be used to stun or turned into a lethal setting to fry your opponents or rip their limbs off."

And then would come what looked like four handheld small radio or transmitter units,

"Those are ARHVN-TA-1, or at least their control units, usually the main unit would be installed on your ships, your transport will come with one pre-installed so you will get signal on them, but what is important about them, within these units antenna there are Echani Graphite filaments, they are very strong, lightsaber resistant in fact, you can use them for self defense or assassination."

And then finally, finally, would come last pieces of equipment, collections of grey colored balls, pills or small grenades in appearance.

"This will be the most important very likely, we call these DUST, they are miniature tracking units in form of powder. You can throw it into the ground and it will explode in a smoke cover which will attach to your target and track it, you can break it in your fingers and sprinkle some of it on your targets to track them, you can mix some of it in a drink and allow them to swallow it in order to track them more of less for the reminder of their lives. However, mind that water washes the DUST off from object or person's surface."

And that would conclude the grand miasma of equipment for the Junior agents.

With each new peice of tech they were presented Jenna was growing all the more excited. She tended to have a love for blowing some steam off by using whatever toys she could on the enemy agents during a mission; which was why she tended to take assassinations at any given time. Still, with what was presented by [member="HK-36"], from the armor to the grappling hooks and all the pistols, she was like a kid in a candy store. Looking over all of them a wide-eyed expression of astoundment had formed on her face, never thinking she'd see so much in one place. And this was only the small armory presented to the agents. Ntelling what a fully stocked armory would be like in the OP. With this new sense of confidence Jenna was all the more ready for the mission at hand; though she wondered what the others thought.

[member="Erela Annan"] [member="Muuri Lethar"] [member="Telgath"]

Telgath was surprised at the amount of weapons that were being given to them. He had hardly used a weapon before during a con, so thinking of using them on other people was very odd and somewhat unexpected for him. He thought about the idea of using these on other beings. He figured that it would be more difficult that he imagined. Yet he would have to do so if the need arose. This mission would be the start of a new career and it was important that he keep his current employment.

The weapons were very interesting none the less. He found that it would be fun to try them out, even though he doubted that he would ever need to try them out. He was looking forward to this job. The armor would be nice to have, after all he preferred melee fights, with his personal training in swords.

[member="HK-36"]

[member="Telgath"] [member="Jenna Templar"] [member="HK-36"] [member="Erela Annan"]

Muuri was alarmed at how many weapons were being presented. She had never used one, and didn't plan on using one anytime soon. She wasn't a pacifistic or anything, but she herself didn't like dealing with items that could potentially kill someone. Anyway, half the things the HK unit listed were beyond Muuri's brain. To her, they all did the same thing: kill or seriously harm a person.

The only items that did interest her were the armor/clothing and the DUST powder. Both quite interested Muuri and she looked forward to trying them and experimenting around with them.

Erela was excited she loved weapons. She loved the idea of something new sleek in her hand. She would be sure to be proficient with them all. Wouldn't her sisters be jealous she would have to make sure to rub it in a little. She smiled at the thought.

"What no sleek Aston Martin baudo?" She was being a smart alec.

"Not this time, put up a request and we will see what we can do."

The droid quipped to Erela before looking to H,

"Anything else to add, Director?"

The older woman shook her head, looking to the agents in turn,

"No, you are dismissed."

And then she waved them off before adding,

"Your transport will be leaving from docking area number 6 in Military Spaceport here on Fondor at noon tomorrow. Do not be late."

The droid nodded and then with a flicker his transmission would cut off and the agents would be free to leave and prepare for their mission, try out the new gear, decide what they will be bringing along as they do not have to take all that was given to them

((You get one post to prepare and decide what you will be bringing along, you can take all the gear given to you or just some of it, up to you, after that I will time skip a day to when the shuttle will be about to leave))

With everything set and ready Jenna looked over to her future partner, [member="Erela Annan"], and nodded as indication they would need to be ready. Given what was avliable to them and the peramiters of the mission she and Annan were given Jenna wanted to keep things simple enough for now. No need to go to an arms dealer already carrying to much heat if they were trying to get information. She stood and walked over, overlooking her chocies, before coming to a desicion.

Instead of taking all of it Jenna only took the SP-1, along with the grappling hook, two ember batons and some of the DUST. She wanted to keep things simple enough to where if a fight would occur she would at least have something ready. That was where the weapons in question came in. The DUST she knew would e helpful regardless, and since the Hold-Out Bolters were standard for the mission it meant another little added bonus. Regardless of what her partner would chose Jenna was all set and ready, giving a small finger slaute to [member="HK-36"] and H as indication she would see them tomorrow.

[member="Muuri Lethar"] [member="Telgath"]

Telgath thought for a moment, looking at the different weapons. He picked up one of the SP-2s. He looked it up and down, checking the sight and feeling the weight. He slipped it into a pocket and pulled it back out. Satisfied with the gun, he would take it and slip it back into his pocket. He then grabbed a Hold-out Bolter, slipped it around his neck. He picked up one of the transmitter looking devices and a set of the clothes, without the hat. He didn't think he would need a melee weapon, as he had his own concealable blade, not on him but once they were on their way he would have it.

He took a moment to make sure he had everything when he remembered to get some of the DUST in pill form. He looked over the stuff that he had. It would work, for now. He just hoped that this was somewhat similar to what a smelter on Bespin would wear. He knew of the importance to keep clothing in style of what you were pretending to be. He remembered having to first con a man out of a good suit so that he could then con another man out of his money. It had been quite easy, but it was a lesson on the importance of clothing when tricking people. He was ready to go, or so he hoped. He could easily conceal most of the gear he would be carrying, after all most of this was meant to be concealed, whereas the stuff he had had to hide often times before were not made to be concealed.

[member="HK-36"]

[member="Jenna Templar"] [member="HK-36"] [member="Erela Annan"]

Muuri carefully studied each item carefully, considering the circumstances she would use them, how easily it would be to handle them, and conceal them. The all could be simply concealed, but carrying too many could become a hassle and might give you away if searched. Muuri took the clothing, as it would provide some protection for her. She also chose the gloves. Now she had to choose a gun. The only one that interested Muuri was the SP-1 with the grappling equipment. Finishing up with grabbing some DUST, she stepped away from the table, satisfied with what she had.

Muuri was stepping away before she realized that a melee weapon would be helpful. Unlike [member="Telgath"], she didn't have her own sword and he only had only one contactable sword. So she quickly reached forward and grabbed a baton. It would be easily concealable, so it shouldn't give her any problems.

With a glance at Telgath and a dip of the head to the others, Muuri left the room. All she needed to do was familiarize herself with the new items and study the person she was posing as.

[SIZE=12pt]Oh to choose what she wanted.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Definitely the Hold-Out Bolters, a single shot could be all she needed in a pinch. She would take the hat too, and the armor mesh not that she planned on getting shot anytime soon but she could make it look stylish.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Sp-1 and grappling hook very nice, the Embers Baton of Rae, nice nice. The transmitter ARHVN-TA-1, and the dust. She also would bring her light whip, zenji needles.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She reminded herself to talk to [member="HK-36"] about stealth suit of a flexible material to be more like a body stocking, something to refract the light.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She was carrying a lot, some of it she could slip into her clothing, others would require holster and some creative outer wear.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She played with the Hold-out Bolter, yes she liked this mini very much. She looked at everyone and her partner [member="Jenna Templar"].[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]“I think we are ready” was all she could say, she had another idea too but it would have to wait.[/SIZE]
