From one Coalition to another...

Camellia Swift said:
"It's not like I'm trying to ram Rendili Stardrive's whole catalog down anyone's throats. If any world has no starship capabilities or they are discontent with what they have, our mass produced cruisers are highly capable, affordable, and probably easier to maintain than patchwork ships.
Bryce looked up and looked at the Croa shipwright as she spoke. She words range true and he quickly pulled up her ship catalog on a screen near him.

"The hammerhead would be perfect for the cadets, tried and true design with some nice modern updates. Maybe add in a spear as a solid command ship. As for Adarlon, they would love the starhammer, beautiful lines and will protected. Surround them with a solid corvette screen and you have a good fleet. [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] would you be able to supply financing, i'm sure they would appreciate it."

OOC: [member="Camellia Swift"] are you willing sub two task force subs, one for Jelucan, one for Adarlon from the statement above? (X) Will give you a major contract in return

Sanya noticed Jorus had offended Camellia in some way. To appear professional she didn't speak out to create a scene but rather used her thumb to rub the back of her wife's hand. She hope camellia would understand and Sanya would likely talk to Jorus about it later. Rendili Stardrives was a major player in the ship building business, hell it was thanks to her that Sanya had Inquisition Industries. still she mustn't let her self be distracted right now. "With the diggers id be more than willing to supply resources in return for the ships Bryce is asking for. I've seen the hammerheads first hand and I can easily say they are a reliable ship and fair well in combat. Also hunni I have an embassy if you would like one of the offices there until i can provide a suitable location. The same applies to anyone here. Having a line of contact would be something we should look into. My embassy can provide that line of contact and id be willing to have some of my people to represent Ancora and ORC if Bryce and Jorus doesn't oppose."

Claire at this point listened more than spoke. Negotiations were a serious conversation as the ORC representatives spoke with Cam and Andulf.

She tried to think of what items the companies House Organa had. Alderaan Engineering. She didn't think she could represent it well not knowing the manifest. MandalMedic she might. Hospital medical supplies. And. Contessa. Now she laughed.

What would she sell them. A scarf. She didn't know. At least though this meeting was helping Rendili.

He'd been married to a Lorrdian for the better part of two decades; even without that edge, he might have picked up on the sudden tension.

"Just for clarity," he said, "when I say pet shipyards, I'm talking about, say, the Alliance's love affair with Fondor and Sluis Van, or how the Protectorate used to buy Corellian all the time. Most of our member worlds don't have cozy, exclusive relationships with solid shipyards. Plenty of room to sell components for their in-house manufacturing, plenty of room to bring in finished ships. Bryce hit the nail on the head with Jelucan and Pergitor: neither has much shipbuilding industry, so it's not like a flood of foreign ships would put people out of a job."

He switched his focus to Claire.

"Miz Organa, one thing our territory always needs is good medical gear and pharmaceuticals. Alderaan has a good reputation in medicine. Any way you could help us out or connect us with folks who can?"

Her security guards where patrolling the area, where the talks where taking place. Their job was to make sure no one got close to it, though it they fail a lot of fingers would be pointing at her. As her dislike of Organa family was well known, as such she doubled the guard in that area, as if something did happen she could defend herself. She then head out of security office, to the promadard as she wanted to see off her troops, heading towards Commonur space. She had a few mercenary contract, as one force leaves another one would come back off a tour duty. She liked seeing her troops come home, as it means they are safe.

Camellia had thought she had managed to keep the irritation out of her voice over the pet shipyard remark, but supposed some had had to go through for multiple people to pick up on it. She knew what the term had meant, but she had thought the explorer was alluding to her attempting to be a pet shipyard rather than just attempting to sell a few ships. Even if he had meant it as a shot though, given she had indeed tried to make Rendili the pet shipyard of the Republic at one point, even though it wasn't a successful bid for it, there was history to back such a thought. Of course it was hard to worry about her slip when she was currently making an even bigger one, her face a vibrant red as her wife called her "hunni" in front of everyone.

Being caught unprepared for a cute term thrown her way by her wife, the Rendili woman tried to hide her blush as she hurried to speak up and answer their host's request. "Certainly, I can provide the Hammerheads in swift order and have a Spearhead brought up for you as well. I'll even let the contract for these ships be flexible as I was intending to push out a new line of light cruisers. So if you want to replace either the Spearhead or Starhammers down the line we can work out an exchange with minimal increase or returns on the purchase."

Delila sat back and watched the action happen with Rendili Shipyards and various bits of conversation. Blue-green eyes caught sight of the refreshments sitting on the table - a tray full of what appeared to be various tea sandwiches. A glass of water was already in front of her. Without trying to draw any attention to herself, she leaned forward and brought the sandwiches closer to her. A minute later four of them were piled high on a napkin.

The food looked a bit fancy for ORC - or what she remembered of ORC. Probably trying to impress House Organa if she had to bet.

Eyes drifted around as she ate, trying not to lull herself into a false sense of security. There were quite a few present she didn't know, ones with gray backgrounds. Jorus being the only one she trusted at the moment. The others...well it seemed everyone had their own agenda on the table.

She heard her name and perked up, "OH yes I can, or we have a few businesses that could and a relationship with Manaan as well for kolto. Alderaan Engineering has several items that help rebuild worlds, and MandalMedical can offer medical supplies" She sat a little straighter and smiled a bit brighter glad to be part of the conversation.

"Do you have particular needs to be addressed right now?" She wanted to make sure that if there were any emergencies that those came first.

She took a breath trying not to sound over anxious, "There's also a place for refugees if it's needed, with a great medical facility, and...support for those needing to relocate." She had just bounced from one thing to the next a bit disjointed and likely not clearly understood. She took another breath.

Under their own power the droids separated and began their seeker modes. The first step was to find a way in diving modulating their own shield technology to glide through any shielding.

Several deep chirps to one another and the mission was underway. Slowly they moved along the hull of the ship scanning and moving along. An open airlock presented itself to one as it slipped inside.

The other two moved along the hull on opposite sides looking for their own point of entry.

"That's exactly the kinds of competencies we're looking to build, Miz Organa. We'd be happy to cover travel and other costs if some of your folks could come out and show us how to support and integrate refugee populations. We've had millions come in - running from empires and raiders and all the stuff that went wrong during the Akala crises. I know Duchess [member="Elaine Thul"] on Elysian is always interested in figuring out better ways to work with refugees.

"Mind if I change tacks a little? Some of us-" He glanced at [member="Bryce Bantam"]. "-had a chat with the Coalition Council. We figure, even if we're pretty far from you, we can offer each other some support in case of a serious attack. We're not talking formal alliance, but understandings like that can go a long way."

[member="Jorus Merrill"]

Claire had not come looking for such an offer but here it was presented on a plate and all she had to do was say, "I agree. While we are located quite the distance from one another. I'm sure there are many inhabitants of the Coalition that would welcome the offer of help should we need it. A friendship between two Coalitions would be welcome."

This trip was certainly a more than she had expected, "I will have a group put together to come out and work with the Coalition." She looked to the others, "Can we interest ORC in some kolto? The Council of Manaan is interested in selling some of their stores"

It also would help the relationship with Manaan they were dependent upon the Coalition finding them a few customers.

"Ceto's one of our member worlds, and they produce some kolto. Silk Holdings takes care of that, and the distribution and all. That said, I know the government on Karideph would pay through the thorax for a quicker kolto supply. I'd chat with them."

Jorus sat back and folded his arms in thought.

"As for collective defense, glad you're interested. It takes days to get from your turf to our most accessible spots, and months to get to our outback turf, but we could still be of use to each other in a crisis. Right now, obviously, we tend to worry about the First Order and the Galactic Empire. What're your worries in your area?"

Their worries. "The Mandalorian Empire and the Galactic Empire. The Mandalorians have advertised their dislike of the Coalition, and the Empire has raided our mines. It is only a matter of time. They will likely continue to test our border patrols and planetary defenses finding the gaps until they feel they are read, then they will come. It just a matter of time."

Time that they needed to make agreements and friends. Their military forces were nothing against the larger factions who controlled large sections of the galaxy. She shook her head thinking these dark thoughts she half smiled at [member="Jorus Merrill"] , "The FWC could use friends. I am Ambassador to the First Order perhaps I can speak with them. But the Empire I don't know we have anything to offer them that wouldn't put us under their thumb."

They had a common worry in the Empire. "Have you had any skirmishes with the Empire?" Maybe they knew something about them that would help.

[member="Claire Organa"]

"The Mandos have only been a problem for us once or twice. We were at Ruusan, though, so I'm betting we're not on their Life Day card list.

"As for the Empire, things are a little more involved there. A couple of years back, they dropped a major fleet on our border. Last year we spotted a ship I can only describe as a miniature Death Star dressed as a battleship. I went looking for it in a scout boat, got decent scans of it vaporizing large asteroids. I've seen that ship make an entire First Order fleet run away.

"A couple of months ago, we tried to kidnap a collaborator on Tatooine. We got hit hard, barely escaped."

That was terrible, "I'm sorry to hear that" It was hard to lose people it was hard to deal with an enemy who had no compassion. Whose only purpose was to see the end of the life that did not agree with their own.

But sometimes they could rise up together, yes. "Jorus if we work together maybe we can find a way to get more information find a weakness. Though the thought of a Death Star gives me the chills." Given the legendary history anyone could understand why someone from Alderaan would be put off by a Death Star.

"Maybe a joint mission. Do you have another target?"

Listen to her talking about targets. She knew there were problems she didn't mention the assumed presence of sith cult within FWC space, or the rebels that kept popping up across the Coalition. They were funded. They had help. They were paid to make the FWC uneasy.

"We got some decent scans, but the Empire's full of cowards - we haven't seen the weapon in action in ages, or heard a thing. They're playing it real safe to stop people like us from doing the kind of thing you're talking about. It's possible they busted it out during the Omega and Contingency pacifications, bit those records are a mess. I'll send you what we've got on the weapon, and if you hear of anything, dig up anything, let us know.

"As for joint ops, we can have those conversations. Me, I'd rather save that card for the next time the Empire becomes a real problem. We've survived a long time by waiting for the bad guys to make the first move, or poking them in ways that won't cause a huge backlash."

"If fear the 'bad guys' are working within our borders and when they do pop up may the force be with us all" She smiled though it was good to have this conversation. "I'll take those scans and information back to the Coalition and we will see about taking a deeper dive without inviting war to our borders or our members."

She sighed slightly this was a good meeting and full of information, "Thank you for letting us come, and sharing all of this information with me. As allies, and trade partners it provides a bit more stability to our members and their peace of mind."

Claire looked at those that had come with her immersed in their own conversations and deals just as the Coalition was meant to do bring the like minded together.

Myles was standing among the grouping listening intently to the ongoing conversation. He hated being late for the Queen, but sometimes it had to happen. He had heard of ORC as time went on, it was his business to know major factions throughout the galaxy and if they were friend or foe to the Queen and the Coalition.

Seeing [member="Delila Castillon"] sitting at the table, he gave a curt nod with a smile, sensing that she was on edge just like he was. Being in unfamiliar territory among people he did not fully know was enough to keep him on edge. There was food available on trays in front of them, to which Myles quickly turned away. He wanted to see how things would go before he even though about it. A brief thought from the past entered his head.

Mother said not to eat the food of a host unless offered promptly. Can't assume the food is for you.

Boy was his mother a piece of work sometimes. Hearing the nearby woman known as [member="Claire Organa"] speak in graceful manners, Myles offered the same.

"Indeed, thank you for your gracious company and hospitality. Information is power, but in this case, it would help the Coalition tread much easier"

He crossed his arms as the meeting continued, careful to examine his surroundings and count steps to doors and remembering people's faces.
