Full circle

Xardus stared up at the lava falls, a look of uneasiness on his face. Through his fractured mind, he'd continued to have visions of the place over and over in the last few weeks. His time as a sword did nothing to keep him from thinking of the temple that lay above. A man's face flashed in his mind. Tall, with stark blue eyes flecked with gold, a mat of white hair to top it off. Would he find the man there? Was he a friend, or foe? Taking in a breath, he slipped his sword into the sheath on his back. Against his better judgement, he'd clipped the saber of darkness he'd used during the time possessed by Sadrion. The amulet that held his spirit hung around his neck, glowing with an intense red. It vibrated gently against his chest, as if yearning to burst out. Starting the trek upward, he prepared himself for whatever he might find.

[member="Darren Shaw"]

Sitting inside, A simple throne made of obsidian.

A temple that had only the marks from the last of those to enter.

Sitting ontop of the throne was a purple holocron. Pulsating on and off. The force could be felt within the artifact.

While no man with white hair stood within the temple, one could still feel his presence as though he had only just left the room.

To those who enter, beware of the consequences for touching the holocron.

[member="Xardus Folidaar"],

As he reached the entrance, Xardus looked around the empty room, his eyes falling upon the holocron almost immediately. "Hello?", he called out into the darkness. No answer. He didn't want to do anything that might get him killed... But he needed a way to help himself. If the man in his vision wouldn't appear, perhaps he could make him by touching his stuff. Walking in front of the throne, he touched the holocron, the presence he felt upon entering strengthening around him for some odd reason. What was the device made of, and what effects would it have on him?

[member="Darren Shaw"]

"Don't touch that!"

Yelling out to the man. I could feel the force from him. Knowing that if he were to touch it that something might happen. Seeing as how I too, was looking for the holocron of Darren Shaw. Last place he was seen was on this planet. The temple I had only found. Following this man in past the many tunnels. Only when I came close enough to him, I tried to stop him.

"This holocron was created by a Sith Lord. You do not know of what may be hidden behind such a device."

In my right hand was a hammer. Dawnstar. I looked him over. Seeing that there was a small taint of the dark side around him. Only very little.

"Are you returning from the darkness?"

[member="Xardus Folidaar"]

As soon as the voice rang out, Xardus flinched, grabbed for his sword, and swung it out of its sheath. Spinning around, he looked to find a distinguished looking man with a hammer in his hand. After hearing his words, his mind reeled with pain. Sith lord... Darren... How did the two connect? Refusing to show his pain, he stuck it out and lowered his sword a few inches. The man leaked a refreshing aura of the light side, and he closed his eyes for a second, letting its coolness wash over him. A wonderful feeling. This also made him more aware of his amulet however, and he raised his blade once more. "I am returning to find my past", he replied softly.

[member="Darren Shaw"] [member="Xander Carrick"]

I inched back as a sword was drawn on me. I smiled lightly, It has been a long time since I have fought someone with a sword. However, this man seemed to lower it as he answered my question. He was lost. he was trying to regain his memories. Nodding my head, I reached forward with my off hand and attempted to push the sword blade away from me a little.

"I am not here to fight you. I was here to collect this artifact and destroy it."

I then furrowed my brows. Looking the man over, I asked him a question.

"I am sorry, but you look familiar. Were you once part of the Templars of the CIS? Or do you not remember?"

[member="Xardus Folidaar"]

Xardus flinched a little as his sword was lowered and the man moved a bit closer. When he mentioned something about Xardus seeming familiar, a small chord struck in the back of his head, but he didn't know where from. Clutching his amulet, he rubbed his thumb against the metal for a second. "I really don't remember much about my past. I came here to find it. I've been having visions for weeks, and I know this place has something to do with it. The man you call a Sith... I believe I once called him friend." With that, he spied another look at the holocron, which still pulsated softly in the throne. Still not fully trusting the man, he sheathed his sword anyway. He didn't want to get smacked around by that hammer, especially when he still didn't have full control of his senses. "Do you know the name of this man?"

[member="Xander Carrick"]

He was skittish. It was okay, but he didn't remember how I might have known him. Nonetheless, I put my own hammer away. Looping it on my belt. he turned to look at the holocron and asked about what I knew. Walking past him to stand next to the black throne, I shook my head.

"The man's name is Darren Shaw. Records say he switched back and forth between the Sith, and Jedi. Currently he is a Sith. He has disappeared, and so I had the notion to look for him, and anything he left behind. So far, nothing other than this holocron."

I moved around the chair and looked at him.

"I can feel the darkness within. You can activate it if you wish, and I can stand here to help if you so desire."

[member="Xardus Folidaar"],

Darren. So there was a connection there. From the visions, he remembered seeing the man wield three blades in the air. It was a memory from long ago, when he was younger. How long ago had it been since he'd last seen the man? And were they friends? Curiosity overtook him, and he reached for the holocron. "Help if you think it's necessary, but I think I have to do this alone if I am to find the answers." With that, he stared at the device for a long time, almost as if he were trying to convince himself again to touch it. Before he could decide against it, he reached all the way and placed his hand on the holocron, waiting for something to happen.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

I watched as the man wanted to do it alone. I respected him even more for that one sentence. Sometimes there were things that had to be done alone. Without the help of another. Nonetheless, I stood back a few steps and watched as he reached for the holocron. Once he placed his hand on it, the red pyramid activated in a flash. Showing a man standing in armor and leather. An assortment of Lightsabers, and even a sword over his back.

He looked down at whoever touched it and spoke. HIs voice rather calm and collected.

"You have accessed the holocron of Darren Shaw. For those of you who do not know who I am, you will be left in the dark. For those searching for me, you will not find me. However, only one may find what he seeks. To know this, he must prove by way of the force. Show me who you are, and you may have the information that I hold."

I stood there for a second. Listening to the voice of this Sith lord. He sounded much like a Jedi. Even when he was know to kill hundreds if not thousands of people in his life. Walking forward a step, I spoke in a whisper.

"Concentrate on the holocron and push your force signature into it. Almost as though you want to control everything it does."

That was normally how a holocron works. So best to give it what you know, and go from there. However, I had a feeling he would do just fine.

[member="Xardus Folidaar"],

Xardus jumped back a few paces when the figure appeared, but came closer again when he realized that he recognized the man's face. It was the man from his visions, the one who'd trained him. He was sure of it. Listening to the Jedi behind him, he touched the base of the holocron and began pouring himself into it. All of his past, though it remained locked to him, flowed into the device. And though he had no idea where it came from, he began to speak.

"I am Xardus Folidaar. Heir to Jedi Master Darrel Folidaar. Student to Darren Shaw and Darren Onyx. Slayer of the creature called Magnus. Friend to Morna Imura, wielder of the magmasaber. Knight of the Templar Order. Keeper of Sadrion. The Second Sword. I demand the presence of Darren Shaw, so that he may grant me the knowledge to reclaim my past."

The words seemed to flow from him so effortlessly, and he had no idea what most of it even meant. Heir? Did that mean his father was a Jedi? And what was Magnus? His mind went to the armor fed by darkness he'd locked away in his ship. It meant something... Either way, he hoped his... titles... would grant him whatever knowledge he needed. Hopefully, he'd said the right words.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

Standing there, I watched as the man listed of titles while holding this holocron. The names he spoke of I had heard of before. Darren was the Sith, Darren Onyx was Darren's brother from another mother, and Morna Imura was a Fire shaper who was reknowned to be one of, if not the best fire shaper and pyrokinesis user since the Gulag Plague. Slayer of the Magnus? What was this thing? and Second Sword?

Despite this all, I looked to the man. Watching as his face changed from almost annoyance, to a smile like he saw a child running around and playing. He nodded his head once.

"Well hello there Xardus. Glad to see you as you once were."

His face brightened and then he opened himself up. Allowing his hands to be at his sides, I watched with fascination.

"You must be looking for your past? Let me help you. On the back side of the throne in which this was sitting, is a hidden compartment. Only by influencing it with the force, will it open, and inside is your original lightsaber. When you created your Sithsaber, I aided you. However, you wanted to end all ties to your past. I thought differently, and gave you an illusion of destroying it. When really it was hidden from you. I kept it should you want it."

I smiled. Looks like the Sith really wasn't as much of an ass as they say.

"Take it, and gain your memories apprentice. From here, I will leave you. Good luck, and may the force be with you."

After a second, Darren gave him a salute and faded from vision. The holocron then turned off, and disassemble into pieces of what it once was. breaking apart and turning to ash. Programed to do that once the message was delivered.

Turning to Xardus, "Grab your lightsaber as the Sith said. Maybe that will help."

[member="Xardus Folidaar"],

As he searched the eyes of the projection, Xardus was relieved when his face broke into a smile. For a moment, a memory jutted from the back of his mind, and he almost tried to have a conversation with the man, but stopped himself. It was likely either a recording, or would only answer the basic commands. This in mind, he kept silent and waited for it to finish. After giving the information of the original saber he'd once used, the projection faded and the holocron turned to ash. Staring at the ashes for a few seconds, it took him a moment to register what the Jedi had said. "There's more to the force than just Jedi and Sith. He was more than that." Walking around the throne, he spotted the box he'd been told about, and reached out to it. Holding his hand out, he heard as the lock clicked open, then used the force to lift it open. Inside lay a simple lightsaber, wrapped in brown cloth, and a small chain at the end. His hand reached forth, slowly as ever, to grab the weapon. Soon, his hand closed around it, and his mind was instantly bombarded with thoughts. He collapsed to his knees as the voices hit him. A thousand voices screamed his name at once, all people from his past coming back to greet him. His dead father, of which the lightsaber originally belonged. His friend and mentor, Darren. Isis, the witch of a Sith. Morna, the fire shaper. Lexa, he girl he'd fought for and lost. Joshua, the Jedi who'd took him as a friend, and comforted him during his darkest hour. And then Sadrion. Everything went dark after that, but he knew who he was now. Standing back up slowly, he ignited his lightsaber, staring at the warm orange blade. "I am Xardus Folidaar, whole once more."

[member="Xander Carrick"]

Watching through the entire ordeal. I smiled as when he grabbed it. His skin visibly changed from a pale, to look almost colorful as all the thoughts and memories he had flooded back to him after grabbing his lightsaber. Looking over him, I smiled. Walking over, I placed a hand on his shoulder. Nodding my head with appreciation.

"You have done well Xardus."

I then smiled even brighter. Remembering about who he was and from where he was.

"Since you now have your memories, and the light has entered once more, I can tell you that you must have been one of the Templar Knights who had trained me when I was younger along with a Zabrak named Krest."

I smiled and patted him on the back.

"Now a question, do you know from your time after the darkness, do you have any Dark sided items that I can take off of your hands. I can dispose of them should you need me to."

[member="Xardus Folidaar"],

"Krest was a Templar?" Xardus turned off his blade and clipped it at his belt. It felt good to be himself again, and not filled with doubt about his past and future. He knew he'd probably have a lot to make up for, due to Sadrion's hold on his body. "I know a Krest... Red guy with horns? He brought me in, saved me from myself, and trained me. If not for him, i'd be one of those saps in a bar, except with no memory." He stopped himself then to answer the Jedi's question about darksided objects. "Yes, I do have a few, but i'll need your help in more than just one way. The amulet I hold." He took the glowing red amulet from around his neck, and it stung his hand a little as he touched it. It was strange... it was like a part of his soul was trapped inside. In reality, it was exactly that. Sadrion was more than a dark spirit. He was, in truth, half of Xardus's being. All of his anger, fear, hopelessness. All of his darker emotions rolled into one. However much Xardus wanted to cast those emotions away, he knew it was crucial that he be reconnected with them. With that thought, he continued.

"In this amulet, lays my other half. It took control of me when I wasn't ready, and brought me into this entire mess. As much as I really don't want to admit it, I need it. I must reunite with it, so that I may be aware of the evil it has done in its name, and by extension, my name. I'll need your help to subdue and disperse it. In exchange, I will take on the teachings of the Jedi. My father was one, and I can only imagine he'd want me to continue my training there."

He looked into the man's eyes, showing no emotion where there would have been uneasiness. He didn't know too much about trusting him, though he didn't stand in the way of Xardus and his past memories. If he could relinquish the darkness in the suit of metal, and possibly the Sith saber, maybe it was time to trust someone.

(OOC: There, happy? :p )

I smiled as he asked about Krest. His description of him was spot on. I nodded my head over again as he looked at me almost baffled that the same man would help him. As for my question about the dark sided artifacts, I smiled and nodded my head. He did have some, and he would give them to me to take care of. Either they would be destroyed or cleansed of any darkness that tainted them. Hopefully they could be cleansed. However what made me wonder was his next topic.

His other half.

I wondered about it. How he was able to sustain himself. and with my help he wanted to clean himself and accept the dark side, without falling to it. He was right to do so. Everyone had one. Even I did. I had to admit that I was close to falling once. However, I stayed away from the addictive side of the force. I knew that he wanted it badly. To find out who he really was. Nodding my head, I smiled.

"I can help with that. Do you know how this was created? if so, we can reverse it, so we can release the spirit into you, and allow you to fight it within your mind. Defeat your other half, and you will prevail. Lose, and you will once more become your dark side."

(OOC: Very much Yes. lol)

Xardus nodded solemnly, understanding the severity of the situation. He didn't even know if he was strong enough to fight Sadrion, as was the reason he'd decided to enlist the help of the man before him. He remembered very little of his time subdued by the dark side of himself. It had taken him so suddenly, he never had the chance to fight it initially. It was like a starving animal, waiting for the right moment to take its place. In killing his father's murderer, it had been the perfect time. Perhaps this time, hope could outlast fear. Faith could defeat hopelessness. With a sigh, he told his story.

"I grew up with my father in the Jedi order. He trained me as his own padawan, and I learned almost exclusively under him. One day, he went on a diplomacy mission, but never came back. He'd been killed. The day I heard about it, they gave me his saber, though I never saw the body. They refused to go after the killer, so I left in search for him. For years, I searched. I killed without mercy, and very nearly fell to the dark side. Eventually, I was forced to live with the fact that i'd never find him. I joined up with a few orders, eventually following Darren into the Tempars. After that, I'd received word about the man. He was on Nar Shadda, owning a club with the money he'd made over the years. I killed him, and Sadrion took that chance to take control. Most of what happened after is a haze."

He looked to the man, realizing then that he'd been holding the amulet the entire time, and that it had started to burn slightly into his hand, making it a light pink color in his palm. "I think i'm ready."

[member="Xander Carrick"]

I listened to the man's story. Watching as he was holding the amulet. I knew he was ready before he said it. Telling me the story of how it came to be. A manifestation of the Dark Side of the force. So because he felt angry at the man, Sadrion, who I know remember as the Sith that tried converting me to the Dark side when I was very young, however I kept that information to myself. Not wanting him to think poorly about what has already happened to him. I nodded my head. Reaching out as he grabbed the Amulet.

"I am going to make a connection between the three of us. You, Sadrion, and myself. However, once the connection is made, he will try and take over your body. You will have to fight this man alone. The only help I can offer is to pull you out, should he become close to beating you. Are you ready to face him?"

I looked at the man with all intents and purposes to calm himself. Prepare for what would be happening.

"Let us begin."

Closing my eyes, I used a power known as force meld to connect the minds of myself and Xardus. I waited for the man to get used to the feeling of knowing my thoughts. Filled with hope and admiration for this man in what he was doing. I then reached out to the amulet. Prodding the sleeping being to awaken. I then allowed Sadrions thoughts to enter ours. My vision became black as would Xardus'. There was a grey expanse, and in it was a floating disc of stone. On one end, stood the both of us. Xardus actually wearing Templar armor from what he may be accustomed to. And on his hip, His Jedi Lightsaber, and upon his back his sword.

However on the otherside, was a man, dressed in plate armor. Black and silver, and clearly filled with the dark side of the force. A golden lightsaber in his hands shone out. Clearly the Sithsaber that Xardus once used. He looked angry and began to speak to Xardus.

"Coming to fight for your body brother?"

His smile filled with malice, and ill intent. Looking over to him, I knew Xardus could do this.

"Prepare for the fight of your life... Jedi."

[member="Xardus Folidaar"]

Xardus took a deep breath as the man reached into his mind. It was a first for him, even though he knew h'ed done it so many times as Sadrion. He began to understand the flow between his own mind and that of the Jedi's. A calming feeling poured over him as he was brought to light with the man's thoughts. Then he brought Sadrion into the mix, and everything changed. His vision went dark for a moment, and he felt his spirit as if it were in limbo. Next to him was Xander, who he now immediately recognized as the young man Sadrion had once trained. That made him wonder... if he remembered that now, then Sadrion had to be somewhere. And there he was. Standing across from the two, he wore his dark armor, the lightsaber hanging at his side with all its malice. He began to taunt him. Xardus couldn't see the face under the mask, but he knew he would only see himself. Taking a few steady breaths, Xardus took his lightsaber into his hand, holding it to one side while he stood parallel to it, favoring his Makashi stance for this battle. If he were to defeat his darkness, it would be with balance, and not emotion.

"I will have my body back, and you will never return to haunt me again." He said it with such authority, that even he wasn't afraid anymore. Nodding to the man next to him, he walked forward to meet the darkness. Upon reaching the five foot gap between them, Xardus instantly felt a rush of power wash over him, though it was weakening and sickly. The power of the dark side. "That's right, Xardus. I know your thoughts. You can't defeat me. I'm more-" He was immediately cut off when Xardus punched him straight in the mouth, knocking the mask sideways. "I liked it better when your mouth was sealed shut." He didn't know where the snark came from, but it was a sign that he was more of his old self than before. Taking the mask off, Sadrion sneered at the light soul, and raised his weapon, the yellow blade springing forth. "Let's see how smart you are once I take you back."

[member="Xander Carrick"]

I stood there. Watching as Xardus walked up to the spirit that was taunting him. The man who was using him in such a way that could only label him as a slave to the dark side. Now he was fighting to break the chains that held him down. The chains that caused him his greatest pain. As Sadrion started to speak. Taunting the man greatly, even I was surprised to see the sudden fist slammed right into the spirits face. I tried to hold back my laugh as Xardus really was ready for this apparently. Nothing would phase him.

I watched as Sadrion smiled after he spoke about taking the body back. And within a flash, Sadrion began to attack. Using his left hand to send out waves of blue lightning, and a second later to use his lightsaber and slash at Xardus. Attempting to cut his head clean off of his body. The only way to defeat the Spirit, was to kill him. To end his life.

Now we will begin this fight. Watching as I would use my force meld to aid in Xardus' thoughts, and increase his speed and awareness. He needed to win this. And he will.

Muttering under my breath, I spoke to Xardus alone, even if he couldn't hear me.

"May the force be with you, Xardus Folidaar."
