Full circle

As soon as the hand came forth, Xardus was ready for it. His lightsaber flicked upward, catching the torrent of lightning in its blade for a few seconds before the second attack came, aimed at his head. Stepping back a couple of feet, Xardus would swing his saber back around and catch that of Sadrion's, then flip it around and push on him, using his weight against him. That was the thing about Juyo, and Xardus's new favored form, Makashi. As long as the dark spirit continued to attack as relentlessly as he did, Xardus would be able to use it against his foe, and barely even break a sweat.

"May the force be with you, Xardus Folidaar."
The words echoed in his head, and he nodded. Keeping his stance, he showed no fear in the face of his enemy. He would be victorious, no matter what happened. Krest's voice played back in his head, noting on how Makashi was like a dance. Keeping that in mind, he followed through with the concept, jutting his saber forth in a few quick jabs, then sliced upward at the spirit's chest.

The man was fast. Redirecting the lightning to mess up any incoming attacks from the spirit. The lightsaber flying through the air to miss the slowly becoming Jedi. However, as soon as Xardus started his attack, Sadrion changed form. Standing with both hands on his saber, and began to move in very small motions and increments. Utilizing the idea for Soresu, but not actually using any of the form's moves. I was surprised by how well this was going to be fought out. I smiled as I took a step forward. Anticipation running through my veins.

As soon as there was a lap in the striking from Xardus, Sadrion started his own attacks. Once more using lightning to charge his blade. Slinging the lightning in an arc at the man, and not even a second after using the lightsaber in a backhand, and an uppercut. While Xardus seemed to be a very fast fighter, Sadrion made him look like slow molasses. Sadrion may have been getting stronger as he was trapped with nothing but anger within the amulet.

"Your body is mine. I will have it! No one can stop me!"

Xardus stared at the spirit for a second as it charged the blade, then his eyes widened. His mind went back to a fight he'd once had with Darren, when he'd done much the same. Sadrion was a leech to his memories... There was only one way to combat that, but first he'd have to deal with the situation at hand. Backing up a few inches, he brought himself into a shii-cho stance. When their blades his for the first time, he felt the electric buzzing in his hands, but refused to let go. After pushing him away a bit, he prepared to counter the next pair of strikes. Though they were, strong, he had an idea. Letting the first attack slide over his blade, he blocked the second head on, then pulled his sword from its sheath and sliced at his abdomen while the lightsaber was already busy. "I highly doubt that."

Once he'd fooled the spirit once, Xardus knew it wouldn't likely happen again. However, thanks to all the time he'd went into people's minds when in control of his body, Xardus was now too an expert mentalist. Could he fracture the mind of a spirit of his own being? Only one way to find out. Reaching into the force, he set his jaw and delved into the dark mind of Sadrion, attacking it relentlessly. He would have his body back.

Xardus was good. Blocking the attacks and using his strength and smarts at the same time. While it seemed that the Spirit of Sadrion was using brute force. While the saber was blocked, and the armor that he wore protected him from the surprise attack from the sword, Sadrion realized that he underestimated his Jedi self. It took only a second, but it seemed like all the air was sucked into where he stood, when a blast of the force came out from him in all directions. Blowing up like a force bomb.

Being that close, it was likely used to get Xardus away from him. The spirit shook his head disapprovingly.

"And I thought you were supposed to kick my ass."

He rushed forward. And just as it seemed he would use the lightsaber, He instead threw a force push. A rather powerful one intending to push Xardus off the cliff. With my own force powers, I focused and created a platform under the circle of rock that we currently stood on. Should Xardus fall, there would be another one beneath him. Ready for the continuation of the fight.

"Pick up the pace or die!"

Before Xardus could do much with the mind, he was thrown backward violently onto his back. Trying to get up again and regain his footing, he could only watch as another wave from the force hit him like a freight train, knocking him off the cliff. Just when he thought he was done for, the ground rushed back up to support him. Nodding to the Jedi, he picked himself up, called his weapon to his hand with the force, and to his surprise, found himself grinning. "I am kicking your ass, actually." As he stood, at first it looked like he was bluffing, until he seemed to suck in a sudden reserve of power. "This is my mind, my body. You will not take it from me!" With obvious effort, he got down on one knee, his hand touching the ground beneath him. He'd let go of his lightsaber now, and his free hand was glowing a brilliant white. As he looked up, so were his eyes. "I am the light of my body! I will reclaim my heritage!"

By the second line, he was practically screaming through the force. He rose up, and in a flash, he was in front of Sadrion, orange blade in his face. With his left hand, he reached over and ripped the armor from Sadrion's chest, slamming it to the ground. With that, he slammed his fist into Sadrion's midsection, fueling it with the force. His aura radiated light, and the area around him seemed like it was cleansed of darkness wherever he stepped.

Watching as the becoming Jedi nodded at me for keeping him there, I watched with fascination as suddenly his entire form was filled with light. He was the embodiment of light and every aspect of him wanted to control it. And he did so. I smiled speaking to myself.

"You have been weighed."

Sadrion's face was filled with shock as suddenly this jedi half was becoming more powerful than who he ever would become. I watched as Xander stood there. Almost bating the Sith with his entire form of light.

"You have been measured."

In a flash, Xardus had moved to stand in front of the man. Grabbing him by the chest and slamming him so hard the dark lighsaber fell from his hands and into the abyss of the dream. Fragmenting into pieces before falling apart and phasing out.

"And you most certainly."

bam, a punch to the gut so strong that the sith spit out blood. This was the end this is where the Jedi would prevail over the Sith. He would overcome all obstacles in his path.

"Have been found wanting."

Xardus stood over the Sith. HIs bloody smile there. Taunting him.

"Like you will ever be able to kill me."

I yelled out Wanting to let Xander know. that he should continue.

"Do what a Jedi would. Only then will you defeat him."

Xardus felt his strength multiplying by the second through the force, a beacon of light to any and all that was near at that time. He watched as his darker self went flying after the punch. Blood littered the floor, and even that seemed to crawl away as Xardus got ever closer. His eyes burned bright like miniature suns, and his soul gave out a light that made the darkness wither in its sight.

"Like you will ever be able to kill me."
The man smirked then, as he looked down at the darkness that was so intent on taking him, he shook his head and turned off his lightsaber. "I don't need to kill you when i've already won." Stretching his hand forth, he channeled all of his energy into one massive blast of light. First, it seemed to be just a glowing orb, but when it began to move, it spread over Sadrion's entire form, consuming him. Eventually, there was nothing left, just a smoking area where he'd once been. "Sadrion is no more." As he said this, he stumbled slightly when the memories hit him. Memories of his time as the dark version of himself. Some of them were so horrible, he couldn't bear to look, but then all the agony, fear, and anger hit him, and he let out a primal scream, and then a flash of light. There was Xardus, lyin on the ground, his soul fractured no longer.

"Wake up Xardus. Come on wake up. Don't make me get a bucket of ice water."

I was shaking him. After the mind battle, and after we had gotten out of the fight, I was still standing with Xardus, but he had fallen over as soon as we were both out of the force meld. I knew his was alive by his breathing, but it was shallow. And well, if he passed out like this, it was because of the amount of energy that he used to combat his darker side.

"Wake up."

I stopped shaking him. Knowing that it wouldn't work. I looked up at my hand. Flexing it before looking back at Xardus. My hand went flat, and well, smacked the guy hard in the face to wake him up. The echo from the slap was loud here in the chambers. Almost like a small firecracker going of.

Hopefully that worked.

Xardus felt like he was falling, and for the first time in his life that he remembered, he was at peace. Falling into a deep abyss that called to him, welcomed him with open arms. Then a voice began to speak to him. It was almost inaudible at first, but eventually became clear enough to understand. "Xardus. Hey, wake up buddy. Wake up." Opening his eyes, he found himself staring up at a tall man in robes. He had Xardus's forest green eyes, and his dark brown hair was swept back into a ponytail. His skin crinkled around the eyes a little as he smiled. Slowly, Xardus got up, keeping his eyes on the man, though he couldn't bring himself to speak at that moment. "I'm so proud of you, son."

At those words, Xardus almost immediately fell on his face in tears. His father, Darrel Folidaar, was proud of him. Wait... did that mean... "Am I dead?" The smile stayed on the man's face as he shook his head. "No. Thankfully, your friend here was able to keep you in the balance. You cannot stay here, with me." As he said this, an image of Xander above Xardus's body came into focus. He began shaking him, and eventually brought his hand across his face with a powerful slap. Xardus felt it, and brought his hand to his face. "Ow. Dammit, Xander." Darrel chuckled at that. "You have come far, Xardus. I hope you will keep your promise and finish your training there where I could not. A friend of yours should be waiting there when you arrive." Tears flowed down Xardus's cheeks, overcome with emotion. "I'll keep my promise, father. Thank you for watching over me, all those years." With that, the man smiled and nodded, and everything faded until he found himself looking up at the Jedi. "If you ever slap me like that again, I swear I'll knock you out." The words came out in a hoarse whisper.

When Xardus finally woke up, His eyes looked at me for a second before his face looked at me disapprovingly. I laughed at his words and shook my head. Standing up I just looked down at him.

"Thought you were a goner."

Lending my hand down to him, and to help him pick himself up, I pulled. Once he was up, I handed him his lightsaber that had been on the ground. in the other hand I held his dark saber.

Opening my hand, I let it float in the air, and let it move into an open area. From there, I nodded my head. He knew what to do. He knew that destroying this lightsaber will help him. It will end the life of his darkness.

"Let us start anew."

[member="Xardus Folidaar"]

Standing back up with the help of Xander, Xardus took his lightsaber gratefully. Wiping his eyes clear of the tears, he straightened himself up. It wasn't every day you got to see your dead father, and he declared how proud he was of you. Staring at the now floating lightsaber in front of him, he nodded with determination. "To start anew." Reaching his hand forth, he opened his palm, and the weapon began to disassemble, revealing each and every piece. As it was unraveled, a small cloud of darkness seeped out from the inside, until it finally all poured out from the yellow crystal inside. Closing his hand into a fist, Xardus willed the crystal to shatter, and the remaining pieces clattered to the ground. Relief flooded across his face then, and he returned his attention to Xander. "Now, I need you to help me with one last thing before I leave. Another piece of the dark side that I don't wish to carry around with me. It's in my ship." Turning toward the temple entrance, he began to walk out.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

I watched as the lightsaber was taken apart. The crystal crushed under the might of the force, and even more so when the pieces fell onto the ground. We left them there. Letting them collect dust and ash forever more. it was then he said he wanted to give me something else. So that I can take it away. Knowing that I would be able to control myself around the item. I nodded my head and followed him asking the questions as I went.

"What are you giving me, and what properties does it have? as well, how dark is this object?"

Likely if it could be used, I can cleanse it with my other Jedi comrades. use it for something good. However, if I couldn't cleanse it, then it would have to be destroyed.

[member="Xardus Folidaar"]

Xardus nodded absently as the man asked about the item in question. Since they were a good few minutes from his ship, he bought he'd give a little history on it. "A while back, there was a plague in the galaxy. I'm sure you remember. The dead came to life, covered in some sort I black ooze. I was at the center of it all, on Dagobah. Myself and my comrades fought our way through. An odd team-up, really... You don't usually see Jedi, Sith, and other rogues working together unless it's something direly important. We found a small facility there, fought through it. We finally found the source, a red monster calling itself Magnus. We defeated it, and it yielded a strange metal. Unlike any we'd seem before. It was extremely heavy, and as far as I know, very resistant to blaster and saber attacks. I took my piece and made it into armor. Or, Sadrion did once it found out I had it. It's been corrupted since then. If you can take it off my hands, I'd be grateful."

Once they were at the ship, Xardus opened a hatch in the back, then pulled out a large trunk. It was so heavy, it made a solid thunk upon hitting the ground. Upon opening it, Xander would find an entire armored suit, minus the head, and that it seeped darkness from it.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

Walking with the man as he explained about the armor, I smiled and nodded my head to him. I remembered about the time known as the dead coming to life. Also explaining the very rare metal. I nodded my head as though I was thinking hard about this. And I was. Really of how much work I would have to do in order to purify this thing was beyond me. The metal was naturally dark. As was his use of the dark side with it. Letting the trunk fall to the ground with a loud thunk. I smiled and opened it. A smug smile to see that this armor was rather fine looking. Nodding to him, I out stretched my hand to him.

"Well it was good meeting you Xardus. I am glad that Sadrion is now gone. May you come into the light, and may the force be with you."

I wanted to see the man join the Silver Jedi. But I didn't really say anything. I did anyways.

"If you ever need help again, travel to the Jedi Temple on Voss. There, I will be waiting."
